You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 854: I Abandon You

Elijah furrowed his brow slightly and replied, “We’re outside.”

“Where?” Evan asked, pressing for more details.

No way.

Today was supposed to be a day for just him and Sacha.

But Sacha found it boring.

She suggested visiting Freya at her place and taking Kai out to play. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

But when they arrived at her place, they couldn’t find anyone.

Surprisingly, it was Elijah who asked him, “Are you free today?”

Evan hesitated, “…”

He shouldn’t be free today; he should be spending some alone time with his newlywed wife.

He couldn’t help but glance at Sacha beside him and sighed in resignation.

Alas, his newlywed wife wanted to be where the action was.

He chuckled, “I’m pretty free.”

Elijah provided an address, “Come over. I have something to tell you.”

Evan happily agreed, “Alright.”

As soon as he put down his phone, Sacha couldn’t wait to ask, “Where did they go? Why aren’t they at home…”

Evan turned to look at her, “Do they have to stay home waiting for you?”

Sacha chuckled; she didn’t mean it that way.

Evan recited an address to her.

Sacha furrowed her brows upon hearing it.

“It’s a remote area, why are we going there?” Sacha questioned, “I’ve been there before, there’s just a lake with nothing much to do. Bringing a child to such a desolate place…”

She couldn’t understand.

Evan said, “Don’t worry about it, just drive.”

Sacha pouted, “When you recover, I’ll be the co-pilot, and you can drive.”

Evan smiled, “Deal.”

The car drove smoothly.

Upon arriving, they parked the car and walked in.

Before seeing anyone, they caught a whiff of a barbecue.

Sacha remarked, “Why does it smell like barbecue?”

Evan had a vague idea.

Still clueless, Sacha continued to ask.

Through the trees, she faintly saw figures, hastening her steps. However, remembering Evan’s not-so-nimble legs, she stopped, turning to support his arm.

Evan patted her, “I’m fine; there’s no need to support me like this. If others see, they’ll think I’m too old to walk.”

Sacha replied, “You’re not old; I just don’t want you to be disabled.”

Evan asked jokingly, “If I were disabled, would you still want me?”

“Maybe,” Sacha teased.

Evan pretended to look crestfallen, “Oh well, I see, you women are all materialistic.”

Sacha playfully tapped his injured leg, “So, hurry up and get better so I don’t have to abandon you.”

Finishing her words, she released Evan and ran off nonchalantly.

“Kai.”

Seeing them really barbecuing, she couldn’t contain her joy, yet lamented, “You guys are having fun without calling me.”

Kai also liked her; upon her arrival, he handed her a large skewer of freshly grilled meat, “Aunt.”

Sacha immediately accepted it.

Freya and others walked over.

Freya handed her picked raspberries, “Try them.”

Sacha, not holding back, put a raspberry in her mouth even before swallowing the meat she was chewing.

Although it wasn’t proper, having them together in her mouth created a unique flavor.

She chuckled, “These raspberries are surprisingly delicious.”

Freya mockingly asked, “Do you taste the flavor?”

Sacha laughed.

“You’re all having such a good time without me.”

Freya glanced at Evan not far away, “Are you two really free today?”

Her question echoed Elijah’s.

Sacha stated, “When two people are together, the more, the merrier.”

She held Kai, nudging the grillers away, “I want to grill too.”

It’s more fun to do it yourself.
