True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 282

Chapter 282

Grace raised her brows and looked at Jensen.

"I didn't expect that you're the kind who'd help with household chores," she said.

Jensen paused and shrugged his shoulders while turning to say to Grace, "No choice. A cop is not as

well off as a big company's president. I could only do these to make a good impression. Doing

household chores is not a bad thing, after all, which helps me stay fit. I'm killing two birds with one

stone."

Grace burst into laughter. "Okay, you totally make sense."

"Thank you for your compliment." Jensen then walked into the kitchen.

Grace poured a cup of tea and left it on the table. She then went back to her room, not wanting to

disturb Alice and Jensen.

Little Gary was right. She shouldn't be the third wheel. She turned on her computer and stared at the

screen blankly.

In the kitchen, Alice was startled as soon as she saw Jensen.

"What are you doing in here?" she asked.

"To lend you a hand," Jensen said with a smile.

"You?" Alice asked. Her cheeks were flushing. Jensen's muscular physique made the kitchen look

small.

"Yes," he said. While rolling up his sleeves, his wheatcolored skin was revealed. It looked strong and

slender.

Without being asked, he picked up the vegetables, placed them next to the sink, and started washing

them.

Alice was left dazed for a moment before she continued with her chores.

She took a glimpse at Jensen, who seemed to be skillful in what he was doing.

It had never dawned on Alice that he was familiar with household chores.

"Do you want to sort out the things outside?" Jensen asked while throwing a look at the living room. "I

guess your sister might really have listened to Little Gary. The food would get spoiled easily."

What he bought was all fresh produce.

Alice glanced at him and said, "Okay, you'll cook

then. I'll sort them up."

Jensen blinked his eyes and said ambiguously, "Alice, are you testing me?"

Alice untied her apron and said again, "I'm going to clear them up. You'll be the cook."

Jensen blocked her way.

"Answer me before you leave," he said.

"You!" She lifted her head and fixed her gaze on his.

It was clear that he wouldn't let her go until he got an answer.

Alice had no choice but to say perfunctorily, "Well, yeah I'm testing you, if you say so."

Jensen moved closer to her. She could feel his breath surrounding her.

"Put on the apron for me," he said.

She frowned and said, "You're too tall, I can't reach you."

He crouched down so that they were on the same level.

Reluctantly, Alice put the apron on him, and then tied the knots.

"You have to learn to adapt and get used to it," Jensen said again.

"Hurry up," Alice said.

Jensen turned around and looked at her with deep eyes.

"This apron is too small for me," he commented.

Alice took a look at the apron. It was indeed too small.

"I'll buy a bigger one tomorrow," she said.

"Oh. So I take it that you want me to cook for you again?" he asked hopefully.

Alice was frozen to the spot. Her mouth gaped open and she looked at him blankly.

"I didn't expect that you're so looking forward to it, Alice." There was a big grin on his face.

Alice said, "If you keep on dawdling, you're not welcomed here anymore."

Stretching out her hand, she pushed him away and walked out.

Her face was bright red from embarrassment.

She took a deep breath and started to sort the bags out.

She realized that Jensen had indeed bought a lot.

Alice then proceeded to knock on Grace's door.

"Come in," Grace's voice came from inside.

Alice entered the room and once she saw Grace, she started whining, "Why did you lock yourself in the

room?"

"I don't want to be the third wheel," Grace said. "What Little Gary said made sense."

"You're just making the situation awkward.” Alice went over and held Grace's hand. "Let's go out. I've

sorted out everything. Don't leave me alone out there. If not, I'll lock myself in the room too."

"How could you do that?" Grace said. "It would be too awkward for Jensen."

Alice pouted and said, "He asked for it."

"Fine, I'll go out." Grace got up and went out with Alice.

As soon as they were outside, they were greeted by the wonderful smell from the kitchen.

They were both blown away.

Grace said, "It smells so good. Is Jensen cooking?"

"Yes," Alice nodded. "He said he could handle it, so I just left it to him."

Alice walked over curiously and saw that Jensen was flipping the pan.

Her eyes widened.

Grace gave the same response when she came over and saw the scene.

He looked as if he had been doing it a million times. The two sisters were stunned.

Jensen was a policeman, so he had a keen sense of insight.

Jensen could sense that there was someone at the door.

When he turned around and saw the shocked sisters, he smiled and said, "Feeling hungry already?

Dinner's going to be ready right away. I'm done after stir-frying this. I made a stew too."

There were really two different dishes.

There was indeed another pot on the stove.

It was already letting off steam.

Grace nudged Alice with her elbow.

Alice was startled and turned to look at Grace.

Grace gave a thumbs up and whispered, "He's definitely a good man."

And he would be a good husband too.

At this time, Jensen's phone rang again.

He was done with the stir- frying and was transferring the food into the plate.

He picked up his phone and glanced at it, but didn't answer it.

"Let me do it," Alice said. "Answer the call."

Jensen said, "It's Heinz. I'm not answering it."

He was not in the mood to answer it after Heinz had hung up on him earlier.

Upon hearing Heinz's name, Grace's expression changed slightly.

The phone rang for a while, then it stopped, and then rang again.

"It's so annoying," Alice said. "You should answer it and tell him off."

She pulled Jensen over and proceeded to take over the cooking.

Jensen could only walk out and pick up the phone. "Hey, what do you want?" he said with a rough tone.

"Come down now," Heinz said. "I am downstairs." "You're here?" Jensen was stunned. "What are you

doing here?"

"Do me a favor," Heinz said.

"Why should I help you?" Jensen frowned. "Who do you think you are? I won't do it." Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Heinz replied, "Come down quickly, or I'll take back Hart Villa District. And you can sleep on the

streets." "You b*stard."
