Belle POV

I tried to chase and call Gian but he didn’t even stop his car and even looking back he didn’t. I could see the rage in his eyes. I know that he thinks that Luke and I have an affair, that’s why we are together now.

I just cried and cried as I continued to call his name even though his car was far away already. Soon I could just feel Luke pulling and hugging me.

“Enough Belle,”

“H-he is wrong.” I said softly.

When we entered, he made me sit in the living room and fetched water to give me a drink.

“Everything will be alright Belle, just calm down. Think of the child you’re carrying. Gian is just angry right now.”

“I h-hope so.” I whispered softly.

“You don’t seem to know the man’s temperament especially when we are angry, you can’t really talk to us properly. Just let him calm his anger first and everything will be okay.”

I nodded and smiled a little.

“I didn’t know that Gian would think that something is going on between us. Well, you’re beautiful and sexy but you’re not my type of woman.”

I looked at him. “It’s like you said I’m not into the taste of a Hernandez!” I growl at him.

He laughed. “Men have different tastes, so if you ask me, I will just treat you as a sister but not a lover, you are not my type of woman and I know my brother will answer the same.” he teased me, which made me frown even more.

“Stop frowning, when your child comes out it will also frown. Always remember Belle that you are beautiful.”

“Is that what you say to your women so that you can get their attention? If I were them I would never believe in those flowery words especially when it comes to Luke Hernandez.” I teased him also.

“It’s not my fault that I’m handsome and my charisma is strong.” he was proud.

“You’re full of yourself!” I exclaimed.

“I’m telling the truth. You deserve to be loved by Belle and any man will like you of course except me and Ethan.”

“Anyway let’s just eat, I’m sure the food has cooled down because of the scene you and Gian did.”

“Whatever!” I shout at him.

“Oh why? When the food is cold you heat it up don’t you?”

“It’s really tastier when the food is still hot, especially when there’s soup.” I said.

“Come on now.”

I laughed and just followed him to the dining table, when we got there everything was ready so we sat down and ate.

Gian POV

When I came back from Hernandez Hacienda, I went straight to the bart. I entered a VIP room and the waiter just brought me some drinks, they knew me because Ethan and I were here often.

Until now I still feel the pain because of the confrontation that Belle and I had earlier. If I had already decided earlier I’m sure our relationship would never be like this. I can’t believe that she will choose Luke over me. Is she not thinking well? That man is a womanizer!

I didn’t know Luke would hit Belle because I know what type of woman he likes. And I can’t believe that Belle will allow herself to be part of Luke’s collection, she knows that that man will not take her seriously and will just play with her feelings.

I just drowned myself with alcohol, wanting to get drunk so that somehow I could forget the pain I was feeling right now. I think what Belle did to me is even more painful now than what Maxine did to me before.

I just kept drinking until I no longer realized the time. It was ten o’clock in the evening, so I called the waiter and paid. Then I left the bar and went home to my condo.

As I made my way home, fond memories of Belle and me flooded my mind. She was the person who didn’t leave me when I fell but I didn’t know that she would also crush me again. They are really the same women who are inclined to leave, Damn it!

Later, my phone rang and I saw Maxine was calling. What does this woman need? I answered it because I knew she wouldn’t stop.

“What do you need?” I immediately opened up to her.

“How harsh of you!” she promised.

“Why did you call? Do you have your date right, don’t tell me he didn’t show up? ” I said, after we got along and had a closure, she is dating another man now.

“You jerk! Anyway, where are you?”

“Why? Do you miss me? Don’t make me the standard for your next boyfriend, you’ll have a hard time finding that man. I’m on my way home.” I said.

“Oh shut up Gian! Did you and Bell talk already?”

“You called just to ask me? I’ll just talk to you tomorrow.” I said.

We talked for a while before I hung up. While I was driving I felt drowsy because I was probably too drunk so I drove even faster to get to the condo but it looks like I did it wrong when I didn’t notice a car that suddenly appeared in front. It was too late before I could avoid it so I felt the pain in my body and head when I hit it until my vision darkened.
