TAMING THE BEAST IN HIM ( His Red Phoenix )

Phoenix let out a wide yawn, stretching out lazily as she opened her eyes. She has never had such an amazing sleep like she did last night. She thought she was going to have nightmares because of the spooky story Axion read to her but to her surprise, it didn’t even come to her mind. Maybe because she slept on him.

Speaking of Axion, wasn’t she on his lap last night? Where is he?

She climbed down from the bed and left to the bathroom. After brushing, she left the room and headed downstairs to look for Axion.

She was still by the stairs when the scent of something burning hit her nose making her grimace. She looked up and saw smoke emitting from the kitchen making her eyes widen. She scurried off to the kitchen and there she saw Axion playing fisticuffs with the cooker which was one fire.

” Oh my God! ” She exclaimed, looking around. The kitchen was a total mess.

” Axion, what are you doing? ” She rushed to him but Axion pushed her away slightly.

” Stand back Phoenix. This is between me and this bitch of a cooker ” He muttered with all seriousness, glaring at the cooker like it was some kind of a human. Seeing his face covered in black mists and his hair messed up, Phoenix pressed her lips together to hold back the laughter threatening to burst out.

He looked funky!

Axion filled the bowel in his hand with water and splashed it directly on the cooker making the fire subside. He let out a sigh of relief turning to face Phoenix who was trying hard not to laugh at him. She doesn’t want to hurt his ego.

” See, I told you I can handle it ” He bragged, his head up high proudly.

” Wow, amazing ” Phoenix gave him a round of applause.

” Teach me your ways, Master ” She jested and Axion walked up to her with a proud smile.

” I… can handle any…” He wasn’t even through with his words when… boom! ?

The cooker flared up again.

” Arghh! ” He immediately pulled Phoenix to himself to shield her. Phoenix couldn’t hold back her laughter any longer and that made Axion glare at her. She was laughing so much that Axion let go of her, puffing angrily.

Finally getting a hold of her laughter, Phoenix grabbed a towel and damped it in water before using it to cover the burning cooker. The fire died down instantly and Axion’s lips parted in shock. How was she able to do that?

Phoenix turned to him, her hand on her waist as she glared at him.

” What? ” Axion scoffed with an eye roll. Phoenix took another wet towel and closed the distance between them.

” What were you trying to do, Axion? ” She cleaned his face with a worried look while Axion pouted angrily.

He woke up extremely early today because he wanted to surprise Phoenix and cook for her. But then, he decided to do it without using his powers.

” There is no harm in trying, right? Besides, what’s so hard about cooking? ” He huffed and his question was answered when he couldn’t even slice a simple onion. He almost chopped his finger off and turned the kitchen upside down. Now, what will Phoenix think of him?

” You were trying to cook breakfast? ” Phoenix asked, snapping him out of his thoughts and he nodded slightly.

” You should have done so using your powers like you normally do ” She chuckled, arranging his scattered hair.

” I just wanted to make it special for you ” What Axion said made Phoenix blush. She moved some strands of his hair and cupped his cheeks, placing a kiss on them.

” Whether you do it with or without your powers, so far it’s from you, then it’s special to me ” Axion smiled broadly at her and swiftly carried her. He made her wrap her legs around his waist while his hand held her butt firmly.

” Am I forgetting something? ” He leaned and placed a gentle kiss on her lips.

” Good morning, love. How was your night? ” Phoenix pouted, tickling his nose with her fingers.

” I couldn’t sleep because of the horror story you told me. I had nightmares about those sisters ” She mumbled and buried her face in his neck, placing a kiss on it. She was just teasing him to know how he will react.

Axion let out a scoff, knowing she was lying. If she had nightmares then he would be the first person to know cause he slept by her side till morning and he would have done something to calm her down. He pinched her lightly making her jerk and pout at him.

” You dreamt about the sisters or about me? ” He raised a brow at her and she bit on her lips. That alone was enough to make Axion’s heart jump.

Phoenix’s eyes landed on the messed kitchen and she frowned. She almost forgot about it.

” Put me down, Axion ” She made to climb down but Axion gripped her waist tightly.

” Why? ” He demanded not liking the sound of that.

” The kitchen is a total mess. Clean it up first ” Phoenix snapped making him scoff. He carried her to the counter and shoving some of the plates on it away, he placed her on it and come between her legs.

” What are you doing? ” Phoenix stuttered.

” I’m hungry ” A naughty smirk formed on Axion’s lips.

” What do you want to eat? ”

” You ” He whispered to her, nibbling on her earlobe, and Phoenix’s cheek flushed. Since when did he become this naughty?

” Should I go on? ” He wanted to tease her and make her say the words herself. Phoenix closed her eyes and pressed her lips.

” No, clean the kitchen first ” Her voice was low and hoarse making it obvious she was lying. Her whole body was already craving for his touch badly. Axion chuckled and slid his hand into her gown, rubbing her thighs.

” Say you want me, Phoenix ” He whispered huskily and she gulped nothing.

” No, the kitchen first ” She was trying not to moan.

Axion frowned his brows. She was trying to prove stubborn and he didn’t like it. He reached for her gown and yanked it down making it fall to her waist, exposing her firm breast. Phoenix gulped nothing, her nipples twitching as Axion stared at her breast lustfully.
