“You’re becoming so daring these days!” Alexander said with a displeased expression.

“And then what?? You can’t suffocate me!” Amelia retorted and faced her meal.

Alexander suddenly lost the pleasure of smoking as he dropped the cigarette pack on the table and took his fork to eat.

“Tomorrow you’ll be starting officially, anything you don’t understand let me know, and I’ll put you through,” Alexander said and drank water from the cup.

Amelia stiffened a bit when she remembered what George told her earlier, she looked at Alexander who already started eating, and sighed regretfully.

She didn’t want to get addicted to him and always rely on him to solve her problems, if their contract expires in six months, she’ll be so doomed cause she might have already turned lazy and dependent on Alexander for everything.

She gripped her spoon tightly, she wanted to tell Alexander not to help her always but the words failed to come out.

Alexander raised a brow at Amelia before frowning a bit “Sorry-I forgot”

Amelia was confused, what does he mean by he forgot??

Was he aware that she wanted him to stop helping her, she hadn’t even said it yet!

Alexander dropped his spoon and took his phone and Amelia furrowed her brows.

“You didn’t even hear me out! Do you know what I was going to say??” Amelia asked but Alexander kept operating his phone.

“Don’t worry-I’d… Okay done, check your phone” Alexander dropped his phone and continued eating without much expression.

Amelia frowned and soon, her phone vibrated due to a new notification.

She grabbed her phone and saw that she had just been credited by Alexander.

“Eight hundred thousand dollars?? The heck! What for??” Amelia asked as she dropped her phone, she was so happy about the money though but she still asked anyway.

Alexander looked at her in utter confusion “Isn’t that what you wanted to remind me of a while ago??”

Amelia frowned slightly not getting his point.

“For the contract! I was supposed to send you the money yesterday but I totally forgot, so there it is” Alexander said and swallowed a ball of smushed rice.

Oh? That… Yesterday made it a month since they got married.

Amelia thought as she nodded in understanding “Thank you anyways! I mean.. for this” She said and continued her food while Alex just hummed and continued his food in silence.

The next morning, Amelia quickly freshened up and got dressed in a red above-the-knee skirt and white short sleeve matched with Red heels and a white bag.

She let her hair down that was below her shoulders and perked some silver-looking pins on the side of her hair.

She gave a girly and youthful vibe in that outfit.

After staring at herself in the mirror, she put on some eye shadows to compliment her smooth face.

Satisfied with the result, she walked out of her room, she was about to walk downstairs when she groaned and slapped her forehead.

“So forgetful, what’s going on with me today?? Arghh ” Amelia entered her room again to take her notepad, she put it in her bag and took her laptop, She discovered that there weren’t any laptops for her in the office so she decided to bring hers.

She was more efficient in using laptops than the office system. After taking what she needed, she passed through the mirror again and winked at herself before coming down.

Alexander soon came downstairs and they both ate breakfast together, done with breakfast, they walked out and Alexander had this stunned look in his eyes before it immediately disappeared.

He must confess, that Amelia was truly a beauty.

He didn’t think much about it and went towards his car and opened the door for Amelia.

Amelia sat on the car with pouting lips, obviously displeased at something.

Alexander raised a brow at her expression but didn’t bother to ask her what made her like that, he went to the other side and sat down too, soon the driver came in and started the car and they drove out of the compound.

The journey was silent throughout as the duo was so immersed with their laptops.

Alexander made several calls as his finger danced along with the keyboard on his laptop.

Amelia was typing away on her laptop but her face was so solemn and Alexander gazed at her from time to time.

“What’s the matter with you today??” When Alexander couldn’t take it anymore, he asked Amelia why she was frowning.

“And what’s your business about my expression?? Let it be, it’s my business”Amelia scoffed

“You’re ruining my mood with that frown of yours and I’m not comfortable with that, it makes the air around here, stench,” Alexander said as a matter of fact and Amelia gazed up at him.

“It’s my frown yunno??” Amelia said depressingly.

“And so?? It’s my car!” Alexander said as a matter of fact and the driver felt like face palming his face, his master was clueless when it came to dealing with women, can’t he see that she was angry at something??

“Hmph Forget about it…” Amelia said and just dropped the matter, why was she so dumb?? She almost slapped her head. Why did she even think that he would compliment her??.

Alexander found her so weird as he returned his gaze to his laptop to continue working.

Amelia looked at him again and Alexander caught her looking at him and she immediately lowered her head.

Alexander raised a brow at her childishness, he was now kinda intrigued by her.

Amelia’s face flushed after getting caught by Alexander when she was staring at him. She glazed outside but she still felt that Alexander was looking at her.

She scoffed and wanted to complain that he shouldn’t look at her, she hurriedly turn her head to face him when she gasped.

She didn’t know when Alexander had leaned in her direction, his face was just a few miles from her.

With any more movement, their lips could smash together, their nose were almost touching each other’s.

Amelia’s breath inched and her heartbeat started racing at an uncontrollable pace, what was wrong with the Air conditioners??

Alexander just Stared straight at her eyes before tracing his eyes down to her lips, he noticed that she was so stiff all over.

She was always acting fierce towards him so he was amazed how he could make her breath hitch.

A pleasant smile slowly spread on his lip as he was delighted.
