THAT’S MY GIRL
Adia smiled gleefully as she got dressed for her first day at work, four days have passed and she’s recovered strong enough to resume work.
She put on a skirt and blouse with matching heels and a purse, arranged her hair before heading downstairs.
Taking a look on her phone, she saw loads of unread messages from Logan and lots of missed calls. She was thankful enough that Sebastian didn’t catch a glimpse of it, or it would have been the beginning of another problem for her.
‘ hey, how are you?’
‘ we have a second date remember ( smiley face emoji)’
‘ let’s meet’
‘ why are you not replying to my messages?’
‘ Are you alright Adia, you’re not picking my calls are returning them either, call me’
‘is everything alright over there’
‘ call me’
Adia read aloud, these was all the messages, he left hanging for her.
‘ sorry I wasn’t able to reply or call back, had lots of things to take care of, but I’m perfectly okay, I’ll call you later’ she texted back, tucking her phone into her purse, alighting from the stairs.
Taking a look around, she saw Sebastian seated there, dressed for work obviously, with a cup of coffee in front of him, and some maids standing a few meters away.
They all bowed their head in respect a she took a seat down,
“Good morning” she waved at Sebastian, who just nodded slowly, while a mayd served her breakfast.
Breakfast was peaceful and quiet as no one spoke to the other, while she had toast bread with omelette, Sebastian just drank his coffee, ever since she came into this house, she has not seen him eating anything, he’s always drinking coffee all the time, do she decided to ask,
“Breakfast” she offered, as he looked at her.
“No thank you” he politely refused.
“I notice you hardly eat, is it that..”
“I usually have late breakfast, I’ll eat at the office” Sebastian cut her off, as Adia nodded returning to her food.
“I haven’t seen Mickelson around, where is he?” Adia asked, having not noticed his presence since she recovered, he didn’t even come to ask after her.
“He’s having a little holiday, but he sent his regards” Sebastian replied softly.
” Ohkay” Adia stressed returning to her breakfast.

A black Bugatti Chiron pur sport car stopped in front of Sebastian’s company, as the people in it, made their way to leave.
Adia shifted uncomfortably, as Sebastian removed his seat belt, the ride has being a hectic and a peaceful one at the same time.
A peaceful one for Sebastian, who didn’t even spare a glance at her the whole time and just focused on his laptop, doing some kind of business shit for all she cared.
While for Adia, it was a hectic and disturbing one, she had a hard time adjusting to his presence, lie who wouldn’t feel that way, when you’re sitting beside and extremely handsome and cold man, whose jawline, anyone would die for.
Adia could feel her insides, warming up, from whatever, with a kind of pleasurable feeling at the depths of her stomach, a feeling she’d hate to admit that she felt for the monster she calls a husband.
The words she whispered to him, still lingered on her mind, she’s been unable to get it off her head, with the darkest looming over him, one would think there was no redeeming him, he’s as good as unrepairable with his hollow heart.
But deep down, Adia felt this need to bring out the good in him, though it sounded impossible, there’s no harm in trying.
He undid his seatbelt making his way to leave the car, as Adia cleared her throat trying to gain his attention.
“Is there anything you need?” He asked, his hands still on the car door.
“What department am I working under, you didn’t even ask for my level of experience?” She asked, as he looked at him briefly.
“I told you the other day, that you’ll be in my office, no more questions” he snapped leaving the car, as a group of guards rushed to welcome him.
Adia took in long deep breaths before following after Sebastian, she saw some men around him near him, who were obviously guards, as she walked closer to Sebastian.
The body guards present noticed a woman coming out of their boss’s car, which was a very big surprise to them.
The sight before them was very rare or rather has never happened before, the woman got to where their boss is, standing close to him as she asked a question, surprising them the more, this has never happened before, the Sebastian they knew was very distant even to the few women he dated, the only person he held is was Rowan, Evans Montenero and a few people.
“Sebastian, you can’t be serious, ” Adia complained bitterly as she got to where he stood, the last time he told her she’d be working with him, she didn’t digest all he said, and definitely skipped that part about working with him.
Like is he fucking serious, the pressure will only get worser, how will she spend up to seven hours of the day in the same place with Sebastian, his presence is really intimidating.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
“We’ll talk inside” he responded, holding her palms, as he locked his fingers with hers, startling Adia.
She didn’t know if he was trying to out up a good names with his employees, because the Sebastian she knew didn’t want anything to do with her, why is he holding hands with her now.
These Rich people can be really persky at time, she thought loudly rolling her eyes.
“Just give me a answer” Adia whispered to him, tugging his arms, as they stopped in their tracks along with the dumbstruck body guards behind them, they were obviously dumb struck by whatever is unfolding in front of them, and was curious about the strange woman with their cold boss.
“We’ll talk inside, don’t start making a sin on your first day”
“But…”
Adia stopped talking the moment Sebastian leaned closer to her, as he whispered to her ear, his cool breath fanning her face, his perfect smell of cologne lingering all over her nose.
” You know I don’t mind throwing back into that house, and lock you in there forever, now do yourself a favor and shut the fuck up, you of all people should know how nasty I can be whenever I get angry” He concluded with a smirk, leaning backwards, as he placed his hands on her first botton, buttoning it up.
“Your button was undone, you know how jealous and dangerous I get when others see you?” He said staring intensely at Adia straight in the eyes.
” I……I” Adia stuttered swallowing deep.
“Save your breath for tonight, hmmm” He uttered to her as her face turned scarlet red, at his statement.
“you…. you….” She stammered again,
“We’ll talk later hmm” he added as she nodded slowly, speechless.
“That’s my girl” he commented, grabbing her by her waist, pushing her closer to him, as they walked into the company building.
