“My birthday’s next week, it’s on a Saturday” Adia whispered to Ace happily, little did she know the peering ears of the vampires in the room caught what she said.

“Wow, that’s great,” Ace exclaimed.

“Can we talk about that some other time” Ace interrupted, stopping Adia, from whatever she was gonna say, he knew clearly well the others could hear their conversation, and the last thing he wanted was for Sebastian to get suspicious of whatever he planned with him, at least not yet.

“Do you wanna go out, I think you’ll be bored locked up in here” Ace proposed as Adia face lit up.

“We can go explore the city” Adia suggested as Ace agreed right away.

“You’re so sweet Ace” Adia squealed, hugging him tight, he’s the only one who makes her feel at home here.

“But why, you can’t just keep me locked up in here” Adia complained getting up on her feet.

“No you can’t Sebastian hunters, I’m not a fucking slave” Adia complained, feeling like walking up to him, and punch him hard in the face.

“Mickelson, take her upstairs” Sebastian ordered, with a stoic face, not in the mood to argue with her.

” Don’t you dare touch me!” Adia yelled at Mickelson, as he ignored her.

” I swear, I’ll kill you if you come any closer” Adia threatened but Mickelson ignored her again.

” Get lost” she screamed, as everyone focused on her, but she didn’t care as she stormed up to Sebastian.

” You can’t be serious” she sneered, as she stood in front of him, she couldn’t just keep her cool anymore, it was already getting out of hand.

“I am, Adia” he responded, not meeting her gaze as he continued working on his laptop, not giving a shit about her presence.

“You know what, I’m gonna leave this house tomorrow, and there’s not a damn thing you’ll do about it” Adia threatened, hoping to gain his attention but all her efforts were futile.

” Sebastian,” she called again.

” Sebastian” she called again but got no response, that got her furious as a new wave of anger rushed in.

” Listen to me for Christ sake” she yelled, grabbing his laptop away from him, as she held it tight.

“Adia, what the hell do you think you’re doing?” He queried angrily, his patience with her running thin.

“Getting your attention of course, now stay still and listen to me, or else I won’t hesitate to smash this laptop in pieces” Adia warned as Sebastian glared at her in disbelief, how dare a mere human threaten him.

He could have ignored her, and walked away, but his laptop contained important documents that had not yet been backed up.

“What do you want?” He finally gave in, as everyone stared at him in shock, Sebastian never gave in to anyone, their lifeless bodies would have already been on the floor by now.

“Three hours, just three hours to go out with Ace, and I’m sure he’ll protect me, right Ace?” Adia asked, diverting her attention to him.

“Sure, I can very much do that” he responded, ignoring Sebastian’s deadly glares.

“See, he’ll keep me safe, Mickelson can come along too”

” Adia..” Sebastian called giving her a warning glare, but she refused to be swayed, this time around.

” No, no don’t give me that look”

” This look” Adia explained a gloomy look plastered on her face as she imitated Sebastian, which earned a chuckle from Ace and Rowan, at the funny face she made.

” You always give me that look, whenever you want to bully me,” she continued.

“Bully you?” Sebastian asked, raising a brow at her.

” Yes, you’ve never been kind to me, since the day I stepped in, you don’t even spare me a glance” Adia began, but Sebastian was already getting bored with her, so he had no choice but to succumb to her demands.

” Three hours, be back before noon, my laptop” he reluctantly agreed, as he requested for his laptop.

“Thanks” Adia squealed happily, as she rushed to hug him, surprising Sebastian in the process.

“Sorry” Adia apologized, dropping the laptop on the table, as she rushed upstairs shyly, she never intended to hug him, she just allowed her joy, get the best of her.

“Oh, What a heartwarming moment” Arion chimed in sarcastically as he couldn’t help but curve his lips like a sky fox.

It felt so refreshing to see Sebastian being tossed around like this.

“Looks like I’m gonna spend a hell of a long time here” he added as he chuckled loudly.
