HOPES DASHED
Adia sprang up from the bed with a lot of enthusiasm bubbling up within her, she’s gonna finally leave this house today, with Ace, and she was beyond happy.
The fact that she left the day before, didn’t settle too far ell with her, seeing she almost died, and the fact she was on high alert, in case, she came in contact with anyone, so this time was different, she’s gonna be free and do the things she really wanted to do.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Now that she’s pregnant, she really has lots of cravings.
After a quick shower, Adia quickly dressed up, a tank top with trousers, as she packed her hair in a ponytail.
She rushed downstairs.
“Ace, I’m ready,” she said gleefully, ready to go.
“Breakfast” Ace recalled, pointing at the dinner table, making Adia chuckle, she had totally forgotten about breakfast, all that was in her head now, I had to leave the house.
“Sure, do join me” she invited, taking her seat.
” I’ll have breakfast later, ” he responded as he signaled George the butler.
George immediately knew what he wanted, as he went to get a cup of blood for the young Master.
Having Adia, living with them, for the past few weeks, has been kind of troublesome for some of them.
Most of the staff working under Sebastian were vampires, sired by him.
The only few humans around were meant for feeding Sebastian and some of his guards.
As he clearly forbade them, that’s the workers like him, from drinking blood.
He served Ace a cup of blood, the cup being made of gold, thus, Adia really had no idea about what was inside it, with the thought that the cup contained wine.
“The sea food here is great,” Ace informed, smiling lightly, as he passed a plate to Adia.
“Ok thanks” Adia responded, putting some into her mouth, and he was right, it tasted divine.
“Wow.. that’s really good, I think I’ll have these often” Adia said mouthful.
A moment later, Arion alighted from the stairs, as he took a seat opposite Adia lazily.
“Hey” Adia waved as he nodded at her, she couldn’t help but sneer at him, he and Sebastian had the same thing in common, cold and aloof, but this Ace of a guy seemed more stiff.
“Here Have some breakfast” Adia offered, only to receive a glare from Arion.
“I’d rather pass,” he declined, snapping his fingers, gaining George’s attention.
“Tequila please, and the usual should be in it” he ordered as George went to get the usual.
Tequila mixed with blood.
“Sir”he served the cup as Arion waved him off.
Taking a sip from the cup, he brought out a lighter and a packet of cigarettes from his pocket as he lit it, taking a smoke from it.
“Asshole” Ace cursed, sending hard glares at him.
“What??” He asked, with an innocent look on his face.
“Have some manners, will you?” Ace spat out, not removing his gaze from Arion.
“About what?” He retorted, as he took another smoke, blowing it out again, as Adia shifted uncomfortably, there was this hate, she had for smokers, she couldn’t help but curse at Arion, Wondering, what she might have done wrong to him and Sebastian, to receive a cold treatment from them.
“She’s fucking pregnant, at least let that stink in your brain” he said through gritted teeth.
“And this’s a dinning room for god fucking sake, not a smoker grill”
” What if she’s pregnant, we all know, she’s better off dead” Arion blurted out dryly, taking another long smoke, as Adia glared at him with a questioning gaze.
“What’s the point of all these any way, giving some one a false Hope, you guys should just tell her the fucking truth, all these sucks” Arion said getting up on his feet.
“Am out of here” he said walking away, as Adia looked at Ace with curious eyes, ‘what the hell was Arion talking about?’ she couldn’t help but wonder.
Ace could swear that all he wanted to do at that moment was snap Arion’s head into two.
For some strange reason, Arion has been against the idea of Adia being pregnant knowing she would die soon, he was against them lying to her, as he felt that it would be better if she knew the truth.
“What did he say…?” Adia asked immediately if Arion was out of sight.
“Um…. he..” Ace flustered trying to find the right excuse to give.
“Actually I’m not taking you out any longer” he said as Adia shoulders fell, she was already anticipating this,
“But you promised” Adia retorted, feeling like collapsing, she could feel her heart already failing, she had put so much anticipation on the outing.
“My apologies, buy Sebastian promised to make it up to you” he added hoping she would understand, actually they had pressing matters back in the province, where rogue vampires were invading Britaris, so all the elite families have been requested to come over, and that’s where they were all going to, infact Sebastian was already long gone.
He just waited for Adia to wake up first, because he felt pity for her. Sebastian was being too Cold, and it would be too rude to leave her hanging, so he came up with a better idea.
“But I have some good news” he broke out smiling, as Adia looked at him, hot tears already threatening to fall out any time.
“I talked to Sebastian, and he agreed to allow Cora and your sister come over, they’ll be here before noon” he informed, but that’s not what Adia wanted for Christ sake, she wanted to leave the house and visit others, not to be the one visited.
“Okay” she reluctantly agreed, seeing she had no choice, cause from the look of things, Sebastian was nowhere around the house.
“Sebastian’s not home I guess?” She voiced out as Ace nodded.
“Busy” came Ace’s curt reply.
“Always busy” Adia sneered as Ace chuckled.
“We’ll all be back by weekend, take care of yourself” Ace added, stepping out of the dining room.
Adia sat quietly, hatching a plan on her head, their trip was actually good news, she could sneak out anytime and have enough time for herself.
Adia couldn’t help but feel grateful and Hope that they spend more time on their trip.
