Eloise sat quietly on a chair, looking outside the window, as she watched the tiny splatters of water, falling from the zinc, the night was dark and cold and it was drizzling outside.
She looked around the room, and noticed Arion lying on the couch, sleeping. This is the first time she has seen him sleep, since the first time she met.
She wondered what he wanted so badly, that’s he’s searching so hard for a witch, something he’s never going to find easily, there’s no way he will ever get one.
Feeling the cold chills on her skin, she sat up from the chair she was seating on, as she walked towards the couch Arion was sleeping on, he looked so peaceful while he slept and handsome, over the few days she’s spent with him, she has come to know that he’s a very distant person, and act as if he doesn’t care, when the truth is he really cared about someone.
She involuntarily squatted in front of him, as she watched his peaceful and calm face.
Eloise had come to realize that she felt a special attraction towards him, and she’s beginning to like him very much.
Her hands slowly moved, to push away the strands of golden hair from his face revealing his handsome face, she stared at his face for what almost felt like eternity, as she didn’t want to look away from him, then her eyes settled in his lip, those red lips of his looked very inviting that she soon found herself leaning towards him to kiss him.
“What are you doing?” A low growl sounded in her ears, just when her lips was a few meters away from him,
“Huh..” she froze, wondering if she heard him right, his eyes were still closed and he was still sleeping, but her ears did not fail her, it was his voice that she heard.
“That’s a very bold step, red haired..” a low dry voice vibrated from his chest as Eloise found herself trembling, his eyes still closed.
Instead of her pulling away, she found herself, not being able to move, her eyes still on his lips, she badly wanted to know what those red lips would taste like.
Her curiosity got the best of her, as she soon felt his lips on her, she froze, her eyes wide open, as she realized what had happened, she didn’t kiss him first, no, she could feel his arm, tightly clasped around her waist, which he used in drawing her close to him, resulting in the kiss.
Eloise stilled for over five minutes, not moving an inch, well she couldn’t move, not when their lips were still in contact with each other, Arion himself did not move, as they both froze.
Eloise, you shouldn’t be doing this, a voice rang in her head,
“Snap out of it..” she muttered against his lips, as she tried leaving, but his hold around her waist was too strong, she removed her lips from his, lifting her head a little, he was still sleeping, or looked like one who was sleeping.
“Arion..” she called in almost a whisper tapping his shoulder, the only way to get out of this, is to wake him up,Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
“Ar..” she was about to call him again when his eyes flew open.
He opened his eyes wide, staring at her green eyes, which seemed to glow in the dark, he suddenly pushed her away from him, as he sat up quickly.
“What happ..” he was interrupted by a call, as he looked up at the screen only to see Sebastian written on it.
“What is the problem?” He questioned the moment he picked the call up.
“Moreau is back..” Sebastian informed,
“Good for him..” Arion said with an uninterested look on his face.
“How far have you gone?” Sebastian asked,
“One percent, it’s as if the witches are purposely hiding themselves from me..” he informed as Eloise lifted her gaze up the moment he said that.
“Come back home..” Sebastian stated after hesitating a bit.
“Why?” Arion asked with furrowed brows.
“Moreau wants everyone back..”
“That’s his problem…” Arion said, rolling his eyes, like he cared less.
“You have to be here, before dawn, he promised to turn the whole of Orleans into a bloodbath if you don’t return..”
“And you’re just going to buy that?”
“You know how Moreau is, we can’t act rashly, come back first, I already have something else in mind, see you soon brother..” Sebastian fared, disconnecting the call.
Arion sat up from the chair as his jaw worked, Sebastian’s was right, he has to come back, Moreau doesn’t make empty promises, he’ll definitely eliminate the people of Orleans if he wants to and for a very stupid reason.
“Is Anything the problem?” Eloise asked, seeing his tensed state.
“Yes..” came his short reply.
“What is it?” Questioned Eloise as she stood up on her feet.
“Go home tomorrow..” he voiced out.
“Why?” She couldn’t help but ask.
“Because I’m returning to mine, so we have to go out separate ways..” he informed as Eloise froze.
“I’ll come with you..” she said out loud as Arion chuckled.
“I don’t think you heard right, I’m returning home, when I say home I meant britaris, the city for Vampires..”
“I don’t care, I want to come with you..” she said standing her ground.
“You coming with me is like sacrificing yourself, you’re only going to be someone’s meal”
“You know that won’t happen, because you won’t allow it, so please just take me with you..” she pleaded.
“Aren’t you scared of me?” He asked her out of the blue.
“No,” she replied.
“Why are you following me?” He raised a brow at her, as she pursed her lips.
“Because I like you, and I want to be with you..”
“Go be with your family girl..” he scoffed,
“No, I prefer to be with you..” she said standing her ground.
“Alright pack up, but I’m not going to be responsible if you turn into someone’s meal..” he voiced out as Eloise shook her head, she knows he’s never going to allow that.
“By the way, why are you leaving so soon, you’ve not yet found what you want?” She asked curiously, why did he have to change his mind all of a sudden.
“I’m being called home..”
“What do you even need a wish for?” Eloise queried, he’s been somewhat obsessed in finding one.
“Because a person’s life is at stake here..” he replied as Eloise froze.
