“I’m not, I’m serious mother, I really loved how you stood up to Elias, I mean that man is so rude, and thinks too highly of himself..”Adia said out loud she developed a dislike for him, the moment he began talking.
“That’s why you have to avoid Elias’s trouble..” Celeste remarked,
“Where’s Logan?” Adia questioned, looking around the house, since they arrived, he just disappeared.
“He must have probably gone to feed..” Celeste informed as Adia shook her head, he needs to refresh himself, and bounce back to his normal self
“Speak of the devil..” Celeste stated, seeing Logan walk into the sitting room.
“Logan..” Adia exclaimed running over to hug him, feeling so delighted to see him, she was so happy when the elders declared him free, finally she can have a peace of mind.
“How are you doing Adia?” He asked, as they both disengaged from the hug.
“Great as you can see, I’m doing very good, and I’m sure you’re better too..” replied Adia, as she scanned him, he’s looking more handsome than the last time they met in the dungeon, he has probably gone to feed to his heart’s content.
“That’s because of you Adia…” he said smiling at her, she played a huge role in getting him released, if not for her Sebastian wouldn’t have bothered to even help him.
“Having a family reunion without me..” a deep scary voice, sounded as they all turned simultaneously, to the direction the noise came from.
Adia squinted her eyes, as she saw the bulky man standing there, not only was he bulky and huge, he also had this terrifying Aura around him, he beared a striking resemblance to Sebastian and his brothers, the same eye color and hair, he almost looked like their father, or probably another brother.
“Father..” Logan muttered as Adia’s eyes widened, as she heard what he said, so her guess was right after all, he is their father.
“Moreau..” Celeste called stepping out, shocked to see him as well, even Logan, equally had a shocked expression on his face.
“What? Why are you all so surprised to see me?” He asked, climbing down the steps,
“Because you’ve been away for five years, why return all of a sudden?” Celeste brows furrowed as he got to where they stood.
*Aren’t I allowed to come back to my family?” He raised a brow at her, as his eyes traveled to Adia, who flinched the moment their eyes met.
“And you must be Adia?” He questioned, staring at her from head to toe.
“Yes she is..” replied Celeste, going to hold Adia.
“And don’t scare her with that look of yours..” she added,
“What look?”
“Look, dear, don’t have a bad impression of me, don’t mind what my wife says, I’m the best father-in-law you can ever find..” a smile ghosted his face, which was soon replaced by a stern look.
“Moreau..” he extended his hands of a handshake, which Adia hesitatingly accepted, as her little hands shook in his large ones.
“No need to be scared, Adia, we can get along quite well..” he said, feeling her shaky hands.
“I guess Sebastian must be here also, if his lovely Adia is here..” Moreau questioned in a domineering tone as he looked around the house,
“How much I’ve missed this place,..” he signed,
“No one forced you out…” Celeste chimed in,
“True, and now I’ve come, where are my boys, I heard they’re all here, in britaris, Logan, where are your brothers, in fact let everyone know that the head of the family is here..” he announced in a loud tone, as a sly smile crossed his face, while he sat leisurely.
Adia just stood quietly stealing glances at him, something felt eerie about him, the fact he acted warm to her, doesn’t mean she’s not scared of him, this man literally scares her a lot.
“Moreau..” she heard a voice, which she quickly recognized as Sebastian, as she turned to see her husband approaching with a frown on his face.
“And if it’s not the rebellious son..” Moreau remarked with a wide smile on his face.
“What are you doing here?” Sebastian asked, approaching them.
“I think you have forgotten that this is my house, I can come in and go out anytime I want..” he replied scornfully.
“I thought you wanted to ghost everyone?”
“I changed my mind, I came to spend some quality time with my daughter in-law..” he deadpanned his eyes, travelling to the direction Adia stood.
“Don’t you dare do anything stupid, or even think of hurting her..” Sebastian warned sternly,
“You really think of me as a bad father, right..” he asked, pursing his lips .
“And that’s what you are…” Sebastian spat.
“I have nothing to say to you son, other than I’m glad that you’ll be a father soon, you should get to experience fatherhood yourself..” he said calmly,
“That aside I won’t hurt her, I like her..” he assured.
“That’s your problem, if you like her or not..” Sebastian stated.
“Where are my lovely twins?” He queried,
“I’m yet to see them, as I’d love to have my whole family present..” he remarked,
“Ace is out, Arion is in Orleans..” replied Celeste,
“Searching for a witch I presume..” he reasoned,
“Tell Arion to return to Britaris tomorrow, before dawn..” he ordered in a stern voice, as Adia felt chills on her skin.
“As you already know he’s busy, and won’t be coming back soon..” Sebastian informed,
“I know, but I want him to return tomorrow, before dawn..” he deadpanned in a serious tone.
“And what if he doesn’t?” Sebastian challenged,
“You know better than to annoy me son…”
“I want Arion here tomorrow, or there’s going to be a bloodbath in Orleans, who knows you might lose your precious witches along the line..” He threatened, as Adia gulped loudly, from the way he sounded, she could tell he meant no joke, and Sebastian seemed to have bought his threats, but why does Moreau want Arion back??
