Caleb's lips twitched in frustration.
A few minutes later, a thought struck Caleb, and he quickly called Skylar.novelbin
"Skylar, Simona just came to see me. She found out that Stephen had been hiding something from her, so I showed her the pictures of Stephen messing around with someone else. She didn't seem upset at first, but now I feel like something was off," he said.
Skylar was a bit surprised. "Simona left already?"
Caleb replied, "Yeah, she's gone. I think she seemed a little out of it. Perhaps you should call her to see how she's doing."
Skylar paused briefly. "Don't worry about it for now, and don't tell Simona that you called me. This is something else might need to handle herself." "Alright." Caleb didn't really understand what women were thinking, but if Skylar said to leave it alone, he would.
Skylar hung up and then called Aiken.
"Simona has found out about Stephen sneaking around with someone else. She's probably feeling really upset right now. Stephen isn't someone to be taken lightly, and I'm worried she might get hurt." Skylar shared her concern.
It was better to give Aiken a heads-up to prevent Stephen from pulling any more stunts. Aiken had already done so much recently and now might be the time to put those efforts to use.
Aiken's voice was calm yet serious. "Stephen pushed things too far this time. He underestimated Simona, and that's why she found out so soon. I think it's good timing. She needs to learn from this."

An hour later, Simona returned to campus by subway. Once there, she went straight to the library.
She sat at a table and opened a book, trying to read. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't focus.
The quiet atmosphere in the library helped her calm down a bit. After about ten minutes, she opened her phone and looked at the photos and video again.
When Simona went to see Caleb,
she intended to ask him to help her investigate Stephen. She wanted to know about his relationship with the boss her friend had seen him with at the park the previous night.

She didn't expect Caleb to give her such a shocking surprise. She watched the video over and over again, trying to dull the ache in her chest bit by bit. Suddenly, her phone pinged with a WhatsApp message from her roommate.
"Simona, look at this! Everyone's saying it's Stephen. Check it out and see if it's really him. If it is, he's such a bastard for sneaking around with another woman."
Attached were several pictures of Stephen passionately kissing Rosa at an intersection. They were so wrapped up in each other that they seemed to forget the world around them.
Anyone who saw the images would think they were entirely unconcerned about how it looked to outsiders.
Simona opened the images one by one. At first, she didn't notice anything particular. But the last one caught her attention as she flipped through the pictures.
The woman's face was much clearer in that shot. This face looked familiar, but it wasn't the same woman that Caleb had photographed.
Moreover, the location in these photos was a busy intersection, whereas Caleb's was in front of a hotel.
These were two completely different women. But in both cases, Stephen was the man caught in the act. Simona felt an icy wave of despair wash over her at that moment.
