Chapter 1434
One had to admit that Stephen was a master at deceit. The way he was with the two different women in the photos was completely different. Not to mention how he acted with Simona. It was as if there were three different Stephens.
As Simona snorted derisively at her own naivety, Stephen suddenly called. Simona glanced at the screen, hesitating momentarily before answering as she walked out of the library.
"Simona, those photos circulating in the group chat are all fake! Not a single one is real. You can't believe them, and they've all been edited. Someone is jealous of me and did this.
"I'm going to explain everything in the group chat, and then I'll explain it to you. Simona, please trust me! Right now, you're the only one who can stand by me through this storm."
Stephen was really good at portraying himself as the victim, trying to garner more sympathy.
If Simona had been unaware of the truth, she would have undoubtedly believed him without hesitation, even going as far as to help him clarify everything for everyone. Just thinking about it made Simona scoff.
That scoff was clear enough for Stephen to hear. "Simona? Don't you trust me? Our relationship is so beautiful. I never thought you would doubt me during all this.
"I thought everyone in the world would mock me and kick me when I'm down, except for you. Simona, did someone say something to you? Please, don't believe it, okay?"
"Stephen, aren't you tired of playing different roles? If you're not tired, I feel exhausted for you," Simoana retorted.
She realized that he was not only deceiving her but also trying to manipulate her emotionally from a moral high ground. At that moment, she fully understood just how despicable and shameless Stephen was.
Stephen likely never expected Simona to respond like this. Though he felt panicked, he maintained his composure. "Simona, where are you right now? I'll come to find you. I don't care how others see me, but I don't want you to have any misunderstandings about me."
Simona glanced at the people coming in and out of the library and replied flatly, "I'm in the library."
There were some things she needed to clarify face-to-face with Stephen. She wanted him to understand that she was not some soft target to be toyed with or deceived.
Within ten minutes, Stephen hurriedly arrived. Sweat beaded on his forehead, clearly indicating his anxiety and fluster.
"Simona."
Hearing her name spoken so gently, if this had been before today, it would have felt filled with affection.
Simona remained expressionless,
her demeanor unchanging. As Stephen ran over, his mind was
consumed with how to explain everything to her, hoping to earn her complete trust.
However, seeing her expressionless face made his heart drop. He sensed something was wrong. It seemed that Simona might not be as easily convinced as he had hoped.novelbin
"Why did you choose me, Stephen? With so many girls at school who like you, do you think I'm easy to deceive?" Simona asked, her tone a mixture of amusement and skepticism.
Stephen shook his head vigorously
as if trying to dispel her doubts. "It's not like that; Simona. Other girls liking me is their own business. I've never thought you were easy to deceive. I truly love you, and ove made plans for our future.
"Once we graduate, I want to marry you. We'll have our own family and kids. We will be happy, and I will cherish you. Simona, please believe

You are the only woman 've ever loved."
Such a heartfelt confession could easily leave any woman breathless. Many women couldn't withstand such a deep and sincere promise.
