My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1432

Caleb asked, "Do you know something?"novelbin

Caleb swallowed hard, suddenly alert. He had been avoiding talking to Simona for a while now. Even when their mutual friends mentioned Stephen, he tried his best to stay silent, holding back words that he felt he shouldn't say.

But now, it seemed Simona was about to give him a big surprise.

Seeing Caleb's reaction, Simona was momentarily taken aback. She then quickly responded, her tone laced with skepticism, "You know?"

Caleb nodded slowly. "Actually, I've been debating whether to tell you. I saw something with my own eyes that day, but I guess I can't explain it well. Let me just show you the photos."

He pulled out his phone and began scrolling through his gallery. As he searched, Simona's expression shifted, a sense of dread creeping in.

She had a hunch that Caleb was about to drop a bombshell that would leave her reeling. Deep down, she feared she wouldn't be able to handle the truth, and her instincts proved correct.

When Caleb finally found the photo and showed it to her, her face drained of color. It felt like a thunderbolt had struck her.

She felt frozen, cold, and as if her heart was shattering into pieces. Noticing her ashen face, Caleb quickly tried to reassure her. "It's just one guy. If he's not right for you, then you can find someone else.

"I thought from the first time I met him that he didn't deserve you. You both come from completely different backgrounds. At least now you're seeing the signs for yourself, which is a good thing."

Simona's vision blurred as darkness closed in around her.

The buzzing in her ears was deafening. Each image flashed before her eyes, hitting her like a slap to the face, making her painfully aware of her own ignorance and self-deception.

She realized how naïve she had been.

"Are you... Are you okay?" Caleb asked, taken aback by Simona's silence. She was so quiet that it felt unsettling.

He had taken two photos that captured him and the woman clearly from good angles.

Simona opened her mouth to respond that she was fine, but the shock was too overwhelming for her to articulate a single word.

Seeing her pale face, Caleb quickly added, "Should I go confront him? I could punch him to let off some steam for you."

Even though he thought it would be distasteful to get his hands dirty dealing with someone like Stephen, he decided that if it made his friend happy it would be worth it. He could always wash his hands afterward; it wouldn't be a big deal.

"Just send me that photo," Simona said as she handed the phone back to Caleb, unable to bear looking at it any longer.

The person in the photo looked so different from the Stephen she knew. It was then that she realized just how many sides he had. Stephen was capable of lying without flinching.

Seeing her expression remain

unfazed, Caleb felt a wave of relief.

"Sure, I'll send it right now. There's also a video. If Stephen tries to pull anything, you can use the photo and video to prove him wrong.

He didn't have any bias against Stephen. In his eyes, he was just a freeloader.

He knew that once his true nature was revealed, he wouldn't back down easily. He might even resort to some underhanded tactics.

He was as annoying as a pesky gnat.

Simona's expression shifted

dramatically as she forced a self-deprecating smile. If Caleb could see through Stephen's façade, it highlighted just how easily she had fallen for his sweet words.

She had let herself be deceived time and again, convincing herself that everything was fine despite the truth staring her in the face.

It was utterly ridiculous.

"I'll call you if I need anything. Thanks for today, but I have to go." Simona realized she hadn't eaten much. Her hunger was now overwhelming. Caleb opened his mouth to stop her, but she turned and walked away quickly, leaving him no chance to say anything.
