Eve’s POV

The next day, Mr Maya woke up as early as possible.. well, it’s the normal time he usually wakes up before i started drugging him.

Then he went to work; he still doesn’t seemed excited though.. why do I even give a fvck.. I feel safe that he didn’t make any move on me since he returned yesterday, Mark doesn’t want us to give him apps.. and little did Mr Maya know what’s about to befall him yet I feel bad for whoever is gonna get affected too.

Andrew came over and drove me down to work that morning, looks like he’s my driver only in the morning because I barely even call him later during the day.. because Liam’s always there.

“You got the divorce form!” I exclaimed.

“Yeah, I went to see the lawyer immediately I left your place yesterday and gave him the marriage contract and he said one incredible thing.”

“What’s that?” I asked.

“Uhm, it’s actually fake”

“Why did he yet give you this divorce file” I asked him.

“Oh that.. he said since an ordinary paper binded you two together, then a proper legal divorce form should splitt the two of you even if it’s not necessary” Liam said.

Oh! I nodded… My joy was in no bundle though.

“I would sign it and give it to him to sign when I get home” I said then took a deep breathe. “I need to summon up the courage ‘cos he’ll never see it coming.. ”

“I know we can do this”He said and I nodded.. I CAN DO THIS.

” Or I will come with you”

“No Liam; it might turn to a complicated troubles with your father” I said.

He sighed and said; “Okay, if you don’t want me too” Then picked up his brief case and went to his office.

Nothing new happened today.. I did my work then went to his place, spent more time with him as usual but this time around, we were discussing about his father and the matter on air. Janet also called me while I was still with him, I told her about the divorce form I’ve gotten. We were so glad that Mr Maya and I will seperate.. we didn’t even think of how I’m gonna do it.

During Recess period, these three musketeers colleges were trying to force words out of my mouth about my relationship with Liam. They told me theirs though but mine is still un~tell~able to people like them.

I got home; I was surprised to find Mr Maya already at home, in the living room… no sluts, just him.. I greeted him perfunctorily and ran quickily into Helen’s room. I met her on the way.

“I have the divorce papers..” I told her.

“And.. and..” I pulled her to her room.. so we could talk better.

“Is Mark at home?” I asked her.

I was still sitting on the couch.. peering at his phone.

“Eve” He said, raising his head up to look at me yet it looked like he was avoiding to glance at my body.

“What promise are you talking about?” He asked.

“When you brought me here” I resumed..

“Oh Eve.. I have alot of things going on in my mind, I.. I’ve helped you and even offered you a job to help yourself. The Job and salary you earn money from was the complete promise. Do you get it now?” He said then gare back at his phone.

“Oh” I mouthed..

“Mr Maya… Thank you for everything” I said, as I moved closer to him and showed him the divorce letter.

“What’s this?” He said, adjusting his eye glasses, so he could see it well properly.

“A divorce letter?” He exclaimed.

“Exactly. Yes it is”

“I… I can’t do this anymore, I regret ever agree to marry you. Gosh! You are old for me.. what was I thinking of? Money, Yes your wealth! Yet I didn’t even get it from you. You abandoned my father in the hospital immediately I signed the marriage papers! You changed towards immediately I signed the papers.. You..” I rushed all my words, made sure my facial expression was stern, sad and serious.

“You want a divorce? Eve, you cannot.. I didn’t even mean to change at all, I was busy…”
