“where were you?, You left again without informing me?”I yelled at him immediately everyone left. He sighed softly.

“I’ve been busy, I have lots of things to catch up, There are lot of work and mess I have to clean up, Brea caused lots of damages already ”

“You only cared about the company, You didn’t care about me and the baby, I ha*te you so much”I whimpered and punched him with my tiny fist, He pulled me to a hug and kissed my hair.

“You’re transferring your agression on me because your Dad came around, I’ve been on his tail for the past three months, I knew he will come today, That’s why I arranged with Maya”He cooed softly, I hugged him tightly and ended up getting a short laugh from him.

He pulled away from me after a while and held my hand on his shirt, I furrow my brows.

“You should recuperate first, We can continue this later”He said softly, I scoffed.

“I’m fine now, Or you don’t want to have anything to do with me?”I asked sarcastically, He shook his head.

“Then, take me to bed”I urged him, He nodded immediately and scoop me in his arms.

THE NEXT MORNING

I woke up in Maynard arms, Stark naked under the sheets, I blushed at the memories of last night.

My demands became much now that I’m pregnant, Maynard was so tired by the time I rode him last night.

“Hey”He mumbled sleepily and I look up at him.

“Good Morning”I blushed and he kissed my hair.

“You’re good?”He asked raising the sheets up and I nodded.

“Damn!, I’m so exhausted”He groaned, I chuckled softly. I wrapped the sheets around me and leave the bed to wash myself up.

“Do you have any plans today?”I asked and he nodded.

“Yes, I’m going to Stanford with Mateo, But I will be back early tomorrow morning”

“Okay then, I’m resuming my work today”

“Are you sure you’re strong enough?”He asked worried, I nodded gently before walking into the bathroom.

Immediately I’m done washing up, I prepared a light breakfast and Maynard ate well before going.

“I will miss you”I pouted as soon as he’s about to get inside the car.

He chuckled and kissed me carefully.

“I will be back sooner, Don’t worry”I nodded sadly and kiss him again.

His hands roamed to my ass and cupped it carefully.

“Hey”I laughed and pulled away from him.

“Sorry, My Dad wants to see you”He said softly, I frowned.

I don’t want to talk or be around that man for now.

“Now now, Please”I mumbled, He nodded gently.

“Take your time, It’s okay for you to be angry, Make sure you take care of your legs since you don’t want me to massage it for you”He warned and slided into the car.

I waved at him till his car is out of sight.

Getting to the company, The old workers has been restored to their former place of work already, I greeted them cheerfully and they replied with respect, My swollen legs became more unbearable for me as I walk so I had to take the elevator.

Surprisingly, I met Mr. Mateo entering the Elevator with his guard.

He turned to me a flashed a genuine smile, I bowed softly.

“Uhmm, I didn’t know you will be here, I will take the stairs”

“It’s okay, You can join me, I won’t hurt you “He said softly but I’m still not convinced, He made the cops torture me for a whole day, Why should I stay with him?

“I will….”

“Please, Magnolia, I won’t make you uncomfortable”He pressed on and I nodded, I walked into the elevator quietly while he followed me, His guard pressed the button goinf to the first floor, I stayed beside him timidly.

“I hope you’re getting better?”

“Yes sir”I replied with a fake smile, The pains in my legs became unbearable, I winced slightly.

“Are you fine?”He asked staring at me, I nodded gently.

“Yes, I’m fine sir”

“Your legs?”He pointed at it, It’s now bigger and painful.

“Pregnancy stuffs, But I will be fine”

“Are you sure”

My legs failed me this time around, I found myself falling on the hard ground.

“Get the car ready, I’m taking her to the mansion”He ordered His guard, The latter bowed before walking out of the room.

“I can walk”I muttered closing my eyes shyly.

“Let me help you, You’re not okay, Trust me this once, Please”He persuaded, I nodded before wrapping my hand around him, He took me back to the elevator.
