Getting to his mansion, I was wowed at the beauty and designs of the house, It was top notch.

Everywhere screams wealth.

Is he that rich?

“I thought you just resumed your work as a doctor?, How did you acquire this within a week?”I asked and he laughed.

” Nah, I was a full time business man even though I studied medicine, I just decided to while away time with the business but it boomed unexpectedly, Pops told me to resume as the director of the hospital last week so I handed everything over to my personal assistant, This is one of my houses, Some are in the states”

” Woww”My mouht fell in shock, He wrapped his hand around my waist and helped me up the stairs.

Getting to a room, I assumed immediately that this is the master’s bedroom.

I turned to him.

“This is your room?”

“Yes, you have a problem with that?, Or it’s not good enough?”He raised a brow and I shook my head immediately.

“No, that’s not what I meant, I mean, you shouldn’t have bring me here since this is your personal bedroom, I can just use one of the guest room”

“I just want to make you comfortable here, You are still recuperating, If you don’t want me to sleep together with you on the bed, I will use the other rooms”

“No, it’s fine, We can use it together”I stuttered even though I’m not sure.

I won’t regret him sleeping with me but I don’t want to look cheap, He’s getting sexier by every passing minutes and it’s a big torture to me.

“Or you’re scared of me touching you?, I’m not a pervert”He chuckled, I blushed immediately.

“It’s fine, thanks for your hospitality”I mumbled before walking to the bed.

ANNA POV

I woke up early in the morning, My bed empty and my clothes still intact.

He insisted on not touching me last night which I deeply appreciate, He’s trying to get some control over his hormones.

I stepped down the bed to meet an expensive dress waiting for me on the table.

I beamed happily and picked it carefully.

It’s a silver black dressed with a deep split below the right legs, I blushed happily at Gael kind gesture.

” Hey, You’re crushing on the dress?”I heard his deep chuckle from the bathroom, I turned quickly and smiled, He took his bath already.

“Good Morning”I blushed, He walked up to me and kiss me passionately.

I reciprocated immediately and pulled away after a while.

“Go take your bath, The jet will soon be ready to take off”

“Jet?”I asked in shock and he nodded.

“Yes, You expect me to take the commercial plane?, I have my own jet”He winked at me before walking to his closet.

I smiled softly and rushed to the bathroom to take my bath.

Its been three days that son of a di*ck visited me last, His mom do drop by sometimes and I later learnt today that he went on a business trip.

But at least, He should call to ask about my welfare.

I shrugged my mind off it and walked out of the bathroom with a towel around my chest, I quickly put on my transparent black night wear.

I saunter to the kitchen to round up my cooking before settling down to eat, A knock came on the door.

” Dad”I said in shock and he smiled devilishly at me before walking inside.

He now look older but not too old, He’s dressed in a black outfit and black jacket as well, His head held high.

The horrible night flashed into my memory again.

I closed my eyes trying to act like I’m not scared of him.

Of course, I’m scared of him, He’s a hitman, A well known assassin.

“How has my been doing?”He asked softly and I shook my head.

“What are you doing here?”I snapped at him, He turned to me and grins.

“You should be at least, A little bit nicer to your father, It’s been long, You know?, Where’s Renata, Does she live here?”He asked looking around, I scoffed.

“I know you must have carried out a thorough investigation before coming here, You know mom isn’t living here, Go straight to the point and get out of my life and remain invisible forever”I yelled not minding my condition.

His jaw clenched tightly, He glared at me furiously, I chuckled.

“You really think you won?, How dare you shwo your fave after ruining my life?, Why are you still alive?, You should be ashamed of yourself for once”I screamed, Then, in a swift moment, I found him grabbing my neck, Trying to strangle me.

I tried to wriggle myself away from him and he scoffed.

He stared down at my body and licked his lips.

“Who touched my meal?, You’re now pregnant?, For who?, Who got you pregnant?, How did you end up with the Alvarez?, That family full of dramas?, Why did Maynard choose you?, Did you tell him about your dad and how he made your childhood horrible for you?, He must have think so lowly of me, That’s what you and your mother, Renata is good at, You can’t consider how much I’ve saved your life countless times?, And harbour your mother into my house”

” You had to do that because she’s your wife, I’m your daughter, Why did you became do inconsiderate?, Why did you choose to turn to a monster overnight?”

” I swear with my life, I won’t hesitate to slit a knife down your throat at this moment of you don’t shut your mouth”He threatened.

“Then do it”I snickered.

He tightened his hand around my neck, I was choking already, My breath irregular already.

I started hearing footsteps coming towards us, He furrowed his brows and stared at me again.

“You’re expecting someone?”He asked and I whimpered.

“No”I said in between deep breaths.

A lady entered the house and I noticed immediately that she’s a cop, A small gun in her hand.

“Drop that girl”She ordered staring at me, I started sobbing.

” Why should I drop her?”He asked, I realized he’s not holding any gun with him.

With all the strength left in my body, I kicked him violently where the light doesn’t shine and he dropped me immediately, He tried taking his gun from his pocket, The lady shoot his legs, Other cops entered the house and including Maynard, Royce and Mateo.

I winced slowly on the floor and she rushed to me.

” Are you fine?”She asked, I broke into a sob.

Maynard walked up to me, He knelt beside me, I hugged him immediately and sob into his chest.

“He told me he will hurt me again”I cried and he kissed my hair.

“Never, Not when I’m alive”He assured me, I nodded and continue to weep.

“Thank you Maya”He mumbled and scoop me into his arms.

“You’re welcome, We have lots of things to talk about, We should hang out sometimes during the week”She said softly before walking out of the house.

“Hey, it’s okay”He cooed and wrapped his hands around me tightly.
