She had spent her whole day focusing on her work, trying to take her attention away from all the negatives around her.

What mattered to her was that she was well and Anita was doing pretty fine.

After clearing her desk, she found her way out of the office.

Outside of Sass Media home, Anita sighted Andre coming her way, in order to avoid him, she quickly hailed a taxi and told the driver to speed up which he did immediately.

Andre calmed down when he saw that she had already gone home.

He wanted to give her a lift home with the car Cass had brought to him, but seeing her sped off, it was clear that she was avoiding him.

“Master, we can go now.” Cass reported to him and they then made their way.

The cab Anita had hailed stopped abruptly, making Anita’s brows squeezed unexpectedly.

“What’s wrong man?” she asked immediately.

“I think something is wrong with the car ma’am. Give me sometime to fix it.” the driver replied and got down from the vehicle to check what was wrong with the car. Unexpectedly they got surrounded by unknown men and before Anita could get careful, she blacked out.

Andre had been having a bad feeling ever since he left the media house, but he couldn’t pinpoint where it was from. Lifting his head, he decided to open the window for fresh air when his eyes spotted the same car Anita had entered in his very eyes few moment ago.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

“Stop the car!” he told Cass.

The car stopped and he got down.

When be headed to the car, he found out that there was nobody in the vehicle a if was unexpectedly empty.

“What’s going on? Where did she go?” he asked himself.

He was sure she had entered this vehicle. He had studied the car plate number even though he didn’t felt like he needed to. That was how smart he used to be. Now she was away, he didn’t know what else to do that to call the police immediately.

“Sir, is everything okay?” Cass asked him when he got there.

“I think Anita is missing. I just called the police.”

Few minutes after he called the police, they arrived and closed the crime scene.

“Sir, we will investigate this. I hope you get patient enough and let us do our job.” and officer said.

“Sir, lets go home, I’m sure the police won’t fail us.” Cass said this time.

Agreeing, he got back into his car and they made their way home.

“How is the investigation with Thomas going and how come he is not among the set of policemen that came to rescue?” Andre asked Cass.

“Sir, from where I have gotten right now, I think Thomas only go for rescue in case which planned with his men. That way, he won’t just go alone, but will input the media so that the world can watch him do his thing. In all of the cases that he had handled recently, the media had been involved. It got serious after Anita got a job at Sass Media Home.”

Andre nodded his head. He was obviously impressed by his Assistant’s findings.

Thomas seemed to be playing cool games with Anita and it seemed like it was working well for him.

“Keep carrying out your investigations. I would do anything to rat him out. He has no idea whom he is messing with.” Andre said aloud and faced the window.

Over there in the City’s Police Station, a file landed on Thomas desk from the hands of one of his men and he froze.

Whenever something like that happened, it meant that it would be a serious case, and this time, there was no exception.

“Thomas, there is fire on the mountain.” I am said and walked out, leaving the file there for him.

Thomas gazed at it repeatedly, not knowing how to act. Finally, he picked it up and opened it.

Thomas had never expected what he saw in the documents as his eyes flew open with shock on his face.

He sat there dumbstruck, clearly unaware how to react to the sudden news.

This was almost unbelievable. He was there when someone had called for help. On a norm, he would have gone, but he had never really had the public’s interest at hand else it had to do with something that would be beneficial to him. He sent his juniors to go handle the situation while he plan out his next move against his enemies.

But seeing this, he was disappointed and felt fucked up.

He still found it had to believe the report.

Shit! He spat within himself.

He then stood up immediately and ran to her apartment.

Kate was already fed up of waiting for her friend for dinner, so she decided to eat, in hopes that she was in the hands of Thomas.

As she ate, she heard the door bell rang. Glad that Anita finally remembered home, she quickly opened the door and was met with only Thomas standing at the doorstep.

Kate was in wonder. What was he doing there in the apartment if he wasn’t with Anita?

Packing her hair into a ponytail, she came out and looked around the compound for some minutes, but there was no sign of her girlfriend.

Chuckling, “Thomas, where is Anita? Don’t tell me you came here to pack some of her belongings because you want to have her for a few more days. Don’t you realize that she has got a girlfriend? That girlfriend is me. And you’re trying to keep her away from me.” she said facing him with and in serious face.

If she had done this on a normal day, he probably would have laughed off it, but now, he felt confused, not knowing how to react.

Seeing his reaction, Kate laughed and tried to soften the air, but it clearly didn’t look funny to him.
