“Come on now, I was only joking. Where is Anita?” she asked, but on taking another look at Tho as, she could tell that something had gone wrong.

But what could it be?

Was Anita safe? Did the had a fight and she chooses to run off? Why was he looking guilty?

Blinking her eyes, she though about a lot.

“Let’s talk!” he finally said.

Talk? What does he mean?

Yes they would talk in fact, they were already talking, so there was no need to ask.

She then shut the door tight and sat outside of the door, looking at him like telling him she was ready for conversation outside the house.

“Anita got into the hands of one of my enemies who are clearly trying to get back at me. I hope you can be patient with I and the rest of the police men as we get to bring her home. Rest assured, she will be saved and that I have to promise you.” he then told her.

Kate froze.

Anita? Trouble? Enemies?

She tried her best to figure it out in her brain for minutes, but before she could know what she was to do, she already found herself wailing and grabbing Thomas by his shirt.

“You are messing with me and what I can possibly do to you Thomas. How can you dare out of your mouth tell me that my sister is missing. I can’t believe a shut you say, please provide me with my sister.” she wailed, not giving him a breathing space.

In as much as he was not in love with Anita, at the least, she already a known reporter. If word got out, he might need to explain himself. He was already feeling pissed up by the attitude Kate was showing him, but he had to endure it for the sake of his image. He knew how crazy Kate could get.

“I need you to be calm Kate. We will bring her back safely. She was my woman too and I valued her.” he told her, kate caught in between the lines of his words.

Was he now referring to what he had with anita as past tense?

Oh Gid, please save anita and I won’t hesitate to tell her about the bastard she had been dating for sometime now.

“Thomas, you will have to explain yourself. Did you break up with her before the incident? How come you are referring to her as a past tense? Did you choose to harm her because she told you she was no longer interested in you? Answer me Thomas! Oh! I have lost all my respect for you. You never loved my sister. You have only been pretending. I don’t trust you anymore.” she said to him in realization as she grabbed him, unwilling to let go.

Thomas was already losing his patience towards Kate. He had his countless women before and this one might not be an exception if she kept nagging him that badly.

Thankfully for both, Andre visited the home with his Assistant.

The moment they saw the drama that was unfolding, Cass quickly ran held Kate, placing her on his chest to calm her down. This scene didn’t leave Thomas gaze.

“She has a boyfriend. I just hoped to get you informed.” Thomas spat out of point.

Cass and Kate froze in shock.

What was more important?

“When I call you a beast, just know I am more serious and that mean it.” Kate spat. She didn’t know how to cry anymore and just wanted to eat him up if looks could viciously kill.

“What if I call you a cheat? Haven’t you seen how strict I use to be with Anita? I’m sure Liam would be really pissed to see how you lay comfortably on another man’s chest.”

“Well, I don’t fucking care. Look,” she said, turned to Cass and gave him a french kiss. “Now, fucking get me back my sister.” she said and stormed inside.

Cass was beyond shocked.

Andre stood frozen and it was different for Thomas.

They hadn’t seen someone so bold to this extent.

Cass cheeks were already so red. His face could tell that he actually enjoyed the kiss, but dared not speak out.

“Shameless bitch!” Thomas spat.

“I think it’s you who is shameless. You couldn’t even protect your woman. How worthy do you think you are of her, if she can’t be safe? A whole police officer of the state who has been highly looked up to. If word gets out, you should know what would be left of you.” Cass retorted brutally.

Thomas froze.

Cass felt satisfied with his reaction. How could he dare call her names? He was freaky dumb to think Anita and Kate would be left alone. If only he knew who he was up against!

Immediately he started his car, he sped off.

Kate was already sobbing bitterly in the chair when Andre and Cass walked in. She had tried to call Liam just now, but he was not picking up. The matter had clearly been submitted to the desk of the police and it would be a lie that Liam wasn’t aware of it.

Why was he avoiding her then?

Was he tired of her, or he just never loved her enough to want to stick by her through hard times.

She was already feeling so alone in her world.

Anita was not there and even her boyfriend has failed to stick with her.

Picking up her phone, she called Liam repeatedly and even texted him, but to no avail.

When she felt like she was done for in this life, Cass went close to her and brought her to his chest to console her.

When he placed his hand on her forehead, Kate felt her body relaxed.

She had never felt that way in her history of being close to a men her whole life.
