Chapter 43: Dark Night

That night was undoubtedly one of Anita’s worst night. She tried so hard to wrap her head around the fact. She knew her man was not in good terms with Andre, but she knew Andre had no reason to lie to her.

The next morning, she prepared and made breakfast for herself, Kate and Andre, but unexpectedly, Thomas made appearance in her house.

When she saw him, she froze, while Kate freaked out a but.

They were already scared, but just like Kate and Anita had discussed in the room last night, they had to act like they knew nothing.

Kate had begged Andre to give her back the drug as she planned on returning it.

She refused to let him know that she already knew about him. She needed to give herself time to clear her brain and decide on her own to leave him. Ever since they met, they had had sex countless times.

Yes, he might be a drug lord, but he could still be in live with her and would never hurt her. That was her belief.

“Good morning! It feels great to meet you again after what seems like forever to me.” she said, trying to make the soft for everyone to be in.

“I disappeared for what seemed like forever, so you decided to bring in another dick?” he said, throwing a glare at Andre.

Anita froze

Was he mad at her?

Andre looked at Anita and saw how tensed she already was. He didn’t wish to make things bad for her so he stood up and left with pride to their surprise.

After he left, like nothing happened, Thomas walked towards Anita with smiles on his face as he hugged her happily.

“How are you baby! Morning!” he said to her and hurriedly sat down to eat.

Anita felt lost a second, and in the next moment, she could be seen dishing out food for Thomas.

That morning, the trip had a warm breakfast and dispersed to run the day.

Anita made her way to her office, Thomas made his way to his home while Kate made her way to Liam’s home to return what she had picked up.

Thomas had an important guest to attend to at home. Lord Lin!

If someone had told him that his Master would take his precious time to come to his own home, he would never have believed it.

“Hello Master!” he said as he bowed and led him to the sitting room.

Lord Lin nodded his head and sat down, scanning the home he just entered as he got served some red wine.

According to their tradition, the owner of the apartment where they are in must have to taste the first thing that was being brought to the table which Thomas did not hesitate to do asap.

“How is my business going?” Lord Lin said in his deep voice.

“It’s going well. It’s such a cool game to play. Guess what? Our biggest client from Italy just placed another order. This business is gonna make us some hot cash.”

“That makes sense.” Lord Lin replied as he nodded his head in satisfaction.

“More money we want, more money we will get.” he said with a grin.

Downtown in New York City, Kate had just arrived in Liam’s home and was waiting for the security guard to verify from his boss if he should let her in.

Kate wasn’t having it, but she had no choice but to stand there.

In the name of riches, a man be embarrassing her like she was nothing. The fact alone got her really pissed.

Soon, the guard came and let her in unapologetic of the time he spent.

Kate walked in as she glared at the guard. This was seen by Liam as he gave a smile from the balcony.

He was in the middle of taking some amount of drugs when his guard had informed him of the arrival of a lady. When he checked who it was, he was surprised but not surprised.

Sipping the alcoholic wine he just picked from his room, he called out to her from upstairs.

“Kate!” he called.

Kate looked up towards the direction as goosebumps grew all over her body.

She didn’t know what to do about the situation, but she did know she needed to be alright.

“Hello babe!” she replied as her worry disappeared.

She stood as she watched him use the external star to come close to her.

“I love you babe! Thank you for always surprising be with your presence.” he said as he touched his beards.

“Well if I don’t, who will?” she replied and the got in.

“I want to be in your room. It’s so cool.” she said when he tried to make her sit on the couch in her living room.

“Oh really? It’s fine then. Come over!” he said and led her upstairs.

“Thanks babe!” she said and jumped on his bed.

His bed was so soft. It could make your hard sleep so soft.

“I will get you something to eat.” he then said and walked out to the kitchen to prepare food for her.

Immediately he walked out, Kate stood up and went to the four to be sure that he was indeed leaving and when she saw him reach downstairs, she quickly brought out the item and placed it back at the spot where she brought it from, but seeing that the amount of the drugs were lower than the past day, she held her chest like she was in pain.

Liam’s life was indeed messing with her head.

She needed to chill.

He came back later with variety of foods which they enjoyed, had fun, and by the time they were dine, she made her way home.

Anita already had a hectic day at work. By the time she was done reporting, she picked up her bag and left the office before Andre would come around. She didn’t want that.
