Alpha’s Predestined Bride

EPISODE 75 Pandemonium

IN CONNECTICUT

SWIFT’S FAMILY HOME

Mrs Taylor faced Aunt Julia when she tried to blame Jasmine for everything. Tears clouded Meagan’s eyes as she listened to all of them arguing and debating about the identity of her unborn child. Alpha Carl didn’t know if it was proper to silent them but he stood up and did it anyway.

“That’s enough!” He snarled.

Everywhere became silent as their heads turned towards him. He liked the fact that he got their attention immediately. He was trying so hard not to act like an alpha over these mere humans but he couldn’t take the insults being directed at his mate anymore.

Alpha Carl breathed out heavily. “Let us just do this introduction of a thing over again because I didn’t expect to see this here.” He admitted with sincerity in his tone.

Alpha Carl knew Meagan was from a very good home, no doubt but the problem seems to be a laid down tradition and someone who had set herself to be the eagle eye of the family-Aunt Julia.

Jasmine and Arya sat down immediately after shooting glares at each other.

“Carl, thank you for saving me the stress of sending every single head on this table out of my house. Our family is not like this so please don’t get the wrong idea about us.” Mr Swift said in an apologetic tone although annoyance was clear on his expression.Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

“I know Meagan is from a very good family because she already share a lot of things with me in a short while. So I came expecting to see the good pictures I have prayed in my head. I expected congratulations for the news about our baby from every member but my mate has received nothing but condemnation for loving a werewolf. Why did she choose to marry a wolf this time? The last time, it was a bully.” He looked at Arya who looked away almost immediately.

“I understand that there is a tradition in this family but history are meant to be changed. Meagan being the first to marry a werewolf shouldn’t make her an outcast. Deciding to get married in less than two months of dating doesn’t mean the marriage would end in six months time. A human and a werewolf coming together doesn’t mean the baby would turn out to be a monster. Irrespective of the kinds, understanding each other is all that matters. And we werewolves already signed a peace treaty to make the humans feel secure around us. I have many humans dwelling in my pack and so far, there hasn’t been a report of a werewolf hurting another human. The humans feels safe and we have all managed to coexist peacefully for many years now.” Alpha Carl paused to take in a deep breathe.

“So I want to plead with you all to give me and Meagan your blessings.” Alpha Carl Damien said in a calm tone. He sounded persuasive enough even though his wolf was close to losing it for the words fired at his mate.

Mr Swift cleared his throat. He was impressed by the words of his soon to be son in-law. He expected this much from a man who runs a whole pack. He had already done his research on Carl and made enquires about his pack. His keen sense of responsibility would be on the high side than any other werewolf. And it made the old man happy that his daughter already found her happy place. Mr Swift doesn’t need to say too much because he was rest assured that his daughter was in good hands.

“Meagan.” He called.

Meagan wiped her tears and sniffed. “Yes dad.”

“I have always trusted your decisions when it comes to matters that concerns your life and other people. And I am certain that you have made the right choice again just like how you picked Medicine over Law and till date you have no regrets for being different.” Mr Swift flashed her a smug smile.

“Thank you dad. I just want to spend the rest of my life with this wolf because I feel at peace around him. And I love him so much.” Meagan admitted.

Mr Swift shook his head. “If that’s the case, we shouldn’t waste time anymore. Carl, do you have a date in mind?” He asked.

“Yes. Actually, we agreed to get married next month before the baby bump becomes too obvious.” Alpha Carl answered.

“Alright. We’ll have the wedding on the 23rd of December. Is that okay with you?” Mr Swift asked again.

Alpha Carl exchanged glances with his mate asking her with his eyes if the date was okay and she shook her head in agreement.

“Yes, it is fine with us.” Carl responded.

Mr Swift reached out to touch his wife’s hand on the table. “We give you our blessings.” Mrs Taylor Swift said.

Mrs Taylor was tearfully thrilled that she would soon have another grand baby in addition to the family.

“Thank you.” A small smile formed on Meagan’s face.

Everyone including Aunt Julia and Arya congratulated Meagan and Carl. Jasmine was made to apologize to Aunt Julia while Arya apologized to Meagan for the words she said earlier on.

“I am so happy for you, Meagan.” Arya said to them.

“But get ready to feel crazy and more demanding once your baby bump grows.” Penelope giggled.

“Carl, we tend to have crazy cravings during pregnancy.” Jasmine added.

“I can handle it all. And moreover, she doesn’t have to do anything as a Luna aside giving me her support while I run the pack. We have enough workers in the pack house that handles the chores.” Carl smiled heartily.

“Listen if she is stressing you out just give me a call. I can run right over to your pack to pet her to sleep.” Mr Swift joked and everyone laughed.

They settled to eat and discussed the plans for the wedding. And later on after lunch, some youngsters gathered around Carl to ask many questions about werewolves and his pack.
