FEW DAYS LATER

Ever since Meagan visited her family home with her fiancé, Mr and Mrs Swift has made it an habit to call their daughter daily. They call and chat her up each day to check up on her and the baby.

Today, Meagan was finally moving into moon stone pack to start a new life with the alpha. She already quit her job and leased out her apartment to a colleague at work.

And at this point, the whole moon stone members already knows that their alpha has found his mate and set to get married in few weeks time. Well it was Julius who made the announcement to the members according to the words of the alpha.

Meagan’s heart beat accelerated as Carl helped her out of the car. Alpha Carl locked his fingers with hers and she allowed herself to feel relaxed. She could hardly believe that it has gotten to the point where she would get a title of being called a Luna.

Julius, Hazel and Brianna were waiting in front of the pack house as Meagan and Carl approached them. Meagan tried not to miss her steps when she saw the bright smile on her best friend’s face. Meagan was sure that her best friend was contented with the choice that she has made to marry the alpha. Meagan has not really had a discussion with her best friend since she said yes to marrying the alpha.

“And here comes the Luna of moon stone pack!” Brianna screamed out when Carl and Meagan reached them.

“And who is the Luna of moon stone pack?! My best friend!” Hazel giggled as she embraced Meagan tightly.

“It must have been difficult for you to make these decisions and sacrifices.” Hazel mumbled into her ears.

“I am happy with the choice that I have made.” Meagan purred into her ears as her best friend pulled out of the embrace.

Hazel’s eyes was bleary but she managed to put a smile on her face. She was super excited that her best friend turned out to be the Luna of her pack. Hazel knew it wouldn’t be easy for Meagan to make such a decision. She had even doubted if her best friend could quit her job and leave everything behind to be in this pack. If Meagan could do without spending Christmas, Thanksgiving or Easter with her parents. But in the end, Meagan had agreed to marry the alpha and she had accepted the deal to be the Luna and remain in the pack for a long time. Meagan has made up her mind to spend the rest of her life with the alpha.

“It is good to see you again, Meagan.” Brianna said as they made their way into the house.

Some of the workers in the pack house already positioned themselves in the large living room waiting to welcome their Luna. And as soon as Carl opened the door, they all bowed their heads and chorused a greeting.

“Welcome to moon stone pack, Luna!”

Meagan couldn’t hold back the smile that crept up on her face and she covered her mouth in surprise. The pack house was beautifully decorated. She didn’t expect such a welcome party from the pack house workers.

Alpha Carl Damien locked hands with his mate. “Thank you very much. So let me introduce to you my mate. Meagan Swift, who is also carrying the future alpha in her stomach.” He said joyfully.

They exchanged surprised glances but had smiles on their faces even as they bowed to Meagan.

“Oh no.. no.. you don’t have to-” Meagan’s words was cut of when she also noticed that Julius, Hazel and Brianna were bowing their heads too.

“Do they really have to bow to me? I mean.. even my best friend?!” She whispered to Carl.

Alpha Carl shook his head positively. Her eyes widened in shock. “Even Julius who is the beta?!” She gritted.

“Yes. And they won’t raise their heads until you instruct them to do so.” Carl mumbled.

“Wow! What should I say?” Meagan asked him.

Alpha Carl leaned closer to her ears. “Raise your heads.” He answered.

Meagan stepped away from him and cleared her throat. “Please.. raise your heads.” She instructed. This is all new to her.

And they did raise their heads. “Don’t worry, you’ll get use to it. You are a Luna now.” Julius grinned.

“Oh come on.. Julius.” Meagan giggled.

“Eva, is everything ready?” Hazel asked the she wolf in charge of the kitchen for that day.

“Yes. We have also set the table.” Eva answered.

“Please let us have dinner to celebrate this union!” Julius chuckled.

They sat around the table to eat and also put in place necessary things for the wedding.

FEW DAYS LATER

Hazel intertwined her hand with Meagan as they made their way to Jessica’s house. She is the one in charge of making the wedding dress.

“Have you noticed how bright your skin looks lately?” Hazel asked.

“Really?” Meagan touched her face with her free hand.

Hazel shook her head. “Yes. And it seems like you are gaining more weight too.” She added.

“Really? I haven’t noticed any changes in my body lately. But if you are right then it must be the pregnancy. Do you think I need to see a doctor?” Meagan stopped on track to face her best friend.

Hazel chuckled. “Why do you need to see a doctor when you are one?”

Meagan rolled her eyes. “Stop whining. I am a doctor but this is all new to me. I mean.. being pregnant myself.. plus it is not the usual baby but a pup.” She let out a sigh.

“I am just kidding. You don’t need to panic. Alpha Carl already arranged for the theta and three Iotas to look after you.” Hazel smiled.

Meagan arched her eyebrows. “Really? Four medical workers?!” She counted her free fingers.

Hazel nodded her head in agreement. “But isn’t that too much?” Meagan demanded.

Hazel’s smile faded abruptly. “Too much? The alpha is just trying to be careful and also make you comfortable as his Luna. Plus it is your first time.” She explained.

Meagan shook her head in agreement. “The alpha is a bit nervous about the pup but at the same time he is excited that he would be a father soon.” Hazel said.

“I am nervous too.” Meagan muttered.

“Look, do you know how happy I am that you are getting married to the alpha?! I was glad when Carl told me that he wanted you to be his mate and keep you in his life forever. And it is surprising how he had fallen so hard and fast for you.” Hazel giggled.

“It is a complete turn around for me too. I never dreamt of being mated to a werewolf not to talk of an alpha wolf. Anyways, I am happy it is Carl Damien.” Meagan admitted.

Hazel continued. “I am so happy for you. And it only means that we’ll be best friends forever!”

“Oh that’s right!” Meagan gave her best friend’s hand a small squeeze.

And they resumed walking. “Well.. I think Brianna would tie the knot with Jeremy next year too.” Hazel added.

Meagan rolled her eyes. “How sure are you? I know what you are trying to do.” She knew her married friend wanted her close single friends to get married too.

“Brianna has been seeing Jeremy since the wedding and they are doing great! It is so obvious Brianna enjoys being around him and Jeremy is also not hiding the fact that he feels something for her.” Hazel explained.

“Well.. that’s great news.” Meagan pouted.

“Although Brianna still feels embarrassed for chasing after the alpha for a long time. But no worries, she is over him now and head over heels for Jeremy.” Hazel replied gently.

Meagan bit the inside of her cheeks. “I am happy she is doing great with Jeremy.” She admitted.

They went on to talk about Jones and Director Ethan. Meagan explained that these men weren’t so satisfied to find out that she was soon getting married to an alpha werewolf but they didn’t have a choice than to accept her feelings for Carl Damien.
