You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 924 – Bloodshed

The room was quiet, with a gentle breeze flowing in through the window, not cold but rather refreshing. Orion sat by the bed, quietly watching Luna.

Her sleeping figure, genuine and without any pretense.

In that moment, there was a sense of tranquility.

If only time could pause like this.

His gaze shifted to the stars.

Stars can sleep so peacefully, they must know their mother is by their side, right?

He thought that it’s best for children to be with their mother.

He pulled the nearby blanket over Luna and the stars.

Luna woke up groggily, seeing a figure in front of her, realizing that no one should be home at this time, was it Alf Hicks?

She instantly woke up and saw the person clearly in front of her.

“Mr. Russo?” She immediately sat up, adjusting her clothes as she got out of bed, saying, “Aren’t you supposed to be busy with work, away for a month? How come you’re back so soon?”

She was afraid of acting inappropriately, adjusting her collar nervously.

Orion brushed past her, feigning a cold tone, “I said I want to see the child every day, but there was no answer when I video called today.”

Luna quickly apologized, “I’m sorry, I fell asleep.”

Orion looked at the child, “You are supposed to take care of the child, I don’t want to find you missing next time.”

Luna hung her head, “It won’t happen again, I will be more careful.”

Orion nodded, “Make me something to eat, I’m hungry.”

Luna glanced at the child, who was still fast asleep.

She seemed unaware that Orion had already noticed her identity, neither close nor distant, she couldn’t help but respond warmly, “Sure, what would you like to eat? I’ll make it for you.”

“Anything will do, I’m not picky. Just make it fast, I’m really hungry, I have to rush back after eating.” Orion said.

He didn’t even look at Luna.

His tone was affected, trying to appear distant and cold, rather than facing her directly.

Luna walked out of the room, gently closing the door!

Orion heard the door close and turned back.

His gaze fell on the cold and clear surroundings.

He thought, how good would it be if Luna could let go of the past, accept living with him, and take care of the star together?

He sighed softly!

Whether the star sensed his unease or not, it whimpered.

Orion gently patted his daughter, “Sleep, my little star, go to sleep.”

The star gradually fell back asleep.

Orion also relaxed.

He got up and left the room.

Entering the living room, he saw Luna busy in the kitchen, he paused and watched quietly.

He didn’t know how much time had passed.

It was Luna’s voice that brought him back to reality, “Mr. Russo, the food is ready. I made noodles and scrambled eggs with tomatoes, you can mix them together.”

Orion nodded, “Understood.”

He washed his hands, sat at the table, and mixed the scrambled eggs with tomatoes on the noodles to eat.

In fact, he couldn’t taste anything at the moment, feeling a mixture of emotions in his heart!C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

Once she finished cooking, Luna left. She avoided any interaction with Orion.

Orion could feel her avoiding him.

After eating, he stood at the door and told Luna, “I’m leaving.”

Luna responded, “Mr. Russo, rest assured, I won’t be unreachable in the future.”

Orion glanced back inside.

Luna held the star in her arms, her back to him.

“Take care of my daughter.” Orion turned and left, just as Vivian returned.

She looked disheveled but her face lit up when she saw Orion.

She ran up, “Mr. Russo, why are you back?”

She tried to link arms with Orion.

Orion subconsciously evaded her.

Coolly, he asked, “Where were you? Didn’t I ask for your help with the housework?”

Vivian said, “I went to help someone else, I’ll go clean up immediately.”

She rushed into the room!

Seeing the bowl and chopsticks on the table, she hurriedly picked them up and took them to the kitchen, accidentally dropping the bowl on the floor.

It made a loud crash, breaking into several pieces.

Hearing the noise, Luna came out holding the star, seeing Vivian picking up the pieces in a fluster.

She stood at a distance, watching silently.

Orion, on the other hand, frowned deeply.

How could this flustered and clumsy behavior help?

He stood still, waiting for Luna to say something. If she said she didn’t need Vivian here, he would immediately ask Vivian to leave.

Although Luna clearly didn’t like Vivian and couldn’t stand her actions.

She just wouldn’t speak up.

Even though she didn’t like living with Vivian.

“Mr. Russo, aren’t you supposed to be at work?” Luna asked.

Vivian, sensing Orion’s indifference, deliberately cut her hand with the broken pieces, then cried out, “Ouch, it hurts.”

Orion asked Luna, “Do you think she can help you?”

In the end, Orion compromised.

It seemed like he had to solve the mess he created by himself.

Luna was adamant, refusing to speak up to him.

“Luna, the people Mr. Russo picks have his reasons, I am just a caregiver, how can I influence your decisions?” Luna said.

Orion snorted.

“You are noble. Since that’s the case, I have nothing more to say.”

Taking his leave, Vivian rushed up to him, “Mr. Russo, look, my hand is bleeding.”

She portrayed herself as pitiful.

She could be seen as a white lotus, yet not as innocent.

Or a schemer, but not as cunning!

Orion tugged his lips, “Go buy some medicine.”

Looking at Luna, he realized her gaze was on the child, seeming unconcerned with how he would treat Vivian.

Clearly, she was cold and indifferent.

Still, he couldn’t help testing.

Each test brought more disappointment.

Vivian, on the other hand, thought Orion cared for her, “Mr. Russo, are you concerned about me?”

Orion was currently annoyed and couldn’t help but speak coldly, “Concerned about you? Fool!”

With that, he walked away.

Leaving Vivian bewildered!

She looked at Luna, “What did Mr. Russo just say?”

Surely, she must have misheard him?

How could Mr. Russo call her a fool?

And where did she go wrong?

Luna smiled and said, “Mr. Russo said you’re beautiful.”

“Really?” Vivian asked, half-believing.

Luna replied, “Yes.”

Perhaps people just preferred to believe pleasant words.

“Mr. Russo must like me, otherwise he wouldn’t have asked me to come here. He could have easily found someone temporary to clean up,” Vivian self-assured herself.

Luna smiled and said, “Sure.”

Realizing afterwards, “Ouch, my hand hurts. Could you clean up the bowl for me? I’m exhausted and need a nap.”

She hurried off to the bedroom.
