You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 840: A Careless Mistake

Elijah’s expression remained indifferent as he casually mentioned, “Wedding gift,” before getting into the car.

Evan waved goodbye to them with a smile before returning with Sacha.

Sacha glanced at the car parked in the backseat.

“What’s inside?” she inquired.

Evan honestly replied, “I don’t know.”

Sacha raised an eyebrow, “You don’t know?”

Evan explained, “I haven’t opened it yet, so I have no idea.”

As they conversed, he reminded her, “Focus on driving.”

Sacha rolled her eyes, “Got it.”

They were supposed to stay with Eric, but after leaving the restaurant, Eric drove off separately.

Initially, Sacha had agreed to live together to take care of Evan’s injuries. Their house was spacious enough for Evan, and she didn’t want Eric to feel lonely.

Upon returning home, Eric was not there.

Excitedly, Sacha grabbed the suitcase from the backseat, complaining, “Why did he only give you a gift for our marriage and not me?”

Evan looked up at her.

“If he gives it to me, isn’t it the same as giving it to you?”

Before he could finish speaking, Sacha retorted, “How can it be the same? I’m technically his sister, so our relationship is closer. He should give it to me.”

Evan chuckled, “How about I return the gift and ask him to prepare one for you?”This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

Giving in to her demands would make her seem petty.

Annoyed, Sacha retorted, “Don’t tease me.”

She felt a tinge of dissatisfaction.

Evan hugged her, “What’s mine is yours.”

Sacha argued, “It’s not the same! Giving it to me shows closeness between us, but giving it to you suggests closeness between you and him. I feel like an outsider.”

“Kai calls you Auntie. Aren’t you close enough? You’re being ungrateful!” Evan teased.

Thinking of Kai, Sacha smiled faintly.

Upon entering the house, Sacha eagerly placed the suitcase on the sofa, ready to open it.

“Could you prepare a glass of juice?” Evan requested.

Sacha hesitated, torn between checking the contents of the suitcase and making juice.

Not that she didn’t want to take care of him, she just wanted to see what was inside the suitcase first.

Seeing her head to the kitchen, Evan quietly opened the suitcase to peek inside, concerned that the contents might upset Sacha.

He observed that Sacha truly regarded Elijah as a brother and cared deeply about their relationship.

After inspecting the contents, he closed the suitcase.

Sacha quickly returned with freshly squeezed juice.

Handing it to him, she asked, “You didn’t peek while I was gone, did you?”

Evan shook his head, “No.”

Sacha eyed him skeptically, “Really?”

Evan insisted, “Really.”

As she opened the suitcase, Sacha joked, “I hope it’s not filled with money.”

Evan assured her, “It’s not.”

Sacha exclaimed, “You definitely peeked! How else do you know it’s not money? You must have looked while I was juicing!”

Evan realized his mistake!
