You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 839: For Me

Without waiting for Evan to say anything, Eric spoke again, “I only have one daughter, Sacha, and she’s mine, isn’t she? In the future, when I die, am I supposed to take her coffin with me? Don’t be distant with me. If you feel guilty, then treat Sacha well. If you dare to bully her, I won’t spare you.”

Evan, feeling the seriousness of Eric’s words, solemnly replied, “You can trust me.”

Eric patted his shoulder, “Take care of yourself.”

He didn’t want Evan’s injury to leave any repercussions.

Sacha will spend the rest of her life with someone who has a defect.

Facing Eric’s selfless love, Sacha’s nose tingled with emotion.

She leaned on Eric’s shoulder, “Dad, come with me to France!”

She couldn’t bear to leave Eric alone here if she went with Evan.

After all, Joan was no longer here, and he would be so lonely by himself.

And as one grows older, the fear of loneliness grows.

Eric had gotten used to life here; if he had to go somewhere else, he wouldn’t be comfortable.

The current house was where he and Joan had lived together.

There were many beautiful memories inside.

“If you two get married and live your own lives, I shouldn’t interfere,” Eric said. “I can’t bear to leave here either.”

Sacha knew that Eric wanted to rely on memories of Joan to spend his remaining years.

She didn’t know if what Eric was doing was ethical.

But she knew that Eric truly loved Joan.

She envied this kind of love.

Loving only one person for a lifetime.

Perhaps his love was selfish and self-serving, but at least it was genuine, without any ulterior motives, just a pure liking for someone.

He just went about it the wrong way.

But you couldn’t say he was wrong.

Because if he hadn’t saved Joan back then, she would have died long ago.

Of course, it was wrong of him to make Joan lose her memory.

No one can judge past events.

Only those involved know the rights and wrongs of the situation.

“Alright, alright,” Eric felt his daughter’s sadness. “You’re getting married, you should be happy.”

Sacha smiled at her father, “Marrying Evan, I’m really happy.”

She never hid her love.

She had always been open about it.

Compared to her, Evan couldn’t be as open in front of the elders.

When it was time for dinner, they went out to Elijah and Freya’s place to pick them up.

They arrived a bit early because they knew it would be crowded with children and needed some time to get ready.

The private room Eric reserved could accommodate twenty people.

The huge round table allowed them to sit comfortably.

There were specially designed children’s chairs.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

Morton sat in the children’s chair.

Kai could sit in a regular chair.

Orion didn’t bring his daughter out because she was too young, and he was afraid she might get sick in the crowded place.

Linda was taking care of her at home.

Since they had made a reservation, the food was served as soon as they were all there.

The waiters poured the wine.

Eric looked at Elijah and said, “I am glad you could come. Let’s have a drink together.”

Elijah raised his glass, and they toasted across the table.

Everyone gathered around, and the atmosphere was lively and cheerful.

After dinner, as they were leaving, Elijah took a suitcase from the car’s trunk and handed it to Evan.

Evan asked in surprise, “Is this for me?”
