You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 817: Talent

Orion was tiptoeing back to his room when Freya called out to him, “Where were you?”

Turning back with a smile, Orion replied, “Nowhere special.”

Freya inquired, “Did anyone tell you that I called you?”

A hint of discomfort flashed across Orion’s face, almost as if he felt awkward. “You called me?” he asked.

Freya assured him, “Yes, I called you. A woman answered and said you were showering. I told her to let you know to call me back after you were done. Didn’t she tell you?”

Orion chuckled, “She didn’t.”

Freya asked, “Seriously?”

Orion walked over and sat on the couch, “What’s the big deal?”

“The woman who answered the phone,” Freya said.

Orion shrugged nonchalantly, “Just a woman, what’s serious about it? Purely a physical need, nothing more.”

Freya was taken aback.

“Just pick a woman and sleep with her?” she asked.

“Is that how all you men are?” Orion replied.

“Pretty much!” he said, adding, “Except for your Elijah, he’s different from other men, patient.”

Freya scoffed.

“I feel like you’re defending or hiding something with that last statement,” she remarked.

Orion retorted, “You’ve been with him for a while, haven’t you figured out what he’s like?”

Though Freya talked a big game, she had confidence in Elijah.

“Look out for yourself,” Freya said, getting up to return to her room to sleep. It was late.

Orion stopped her, “What did you call me for?”

Freya smacked her forehead, realizing she had forgotten.

Turning back to Orion, she said, “Help arrange for us to move back to the manor tomorrow.”

“Is the manor safe?” Orion asked.

“Xander called me, said the danger has passed.”

“Okay, I’ll take care of it.”

The next day, Orion started organizing the moving process.

There wasn’t much to bring over when they first moved in, so going back was just as simple, mostly personal belongings and clothes.

No furniture at all.

So everyone just had to pack their things, load them into the car, and drive back.

It was even easier at the manor.

The housekeeper took care of everything.

Kai was running around the yard, having fun.

He enjoyed being at the manor.

It was spacious and had room to play.

He was teaching Eagle how to shoot.

He had seen Eagle hit tree leaves with stones and thought he was amazing, even idolizing him a bit.

Eagle stared at him with his dark eyes, “Interested?”

After their last prank on Orion, their relationship was harmonious.

Kai nodded.

Eagle replied, “We need to buy practice equipment first.”

“Can’t we just use stones?” Kai tilted his head.

Eagle ruffled his hair, “No, you’re too small.”

You can’t exert enough force with your fingers.

Kai pursed his lips.

“But you can practice aiming first.”

Kai asked, puzzled, “What’s that?”

“It’s targeting something accurately.” Eagle hung up a target for Kai to throw darts at.

Kai grimaced, “This… isn’t fun.”

“When you can hit the bullseye, I’ll teach you how to shoot.”

Kai perked up, “You better keep your promise.”

Eagle assured him.

Freya finished packing and couldn’t find Kai. She found him focused on throwing darts.

She thought it looked easy, but hitting the bullseye was challenging. When she saw Freya approaching, Eagle was about to speak.

Freya shook her head, gesturing not to disturb Kai.

She wanted to see if her son had a talent for shooting.

“Eagle, do you think he’s doing well?” she asked quietly.

Eagle looked up at her, then down again quickly.
