You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 815: Crooked Thoughts

“It’s me, Mrs. Xander,” Xander said.

Freya gently lowered her lashes and murmured softly, “I see.”

“The danger has passed. You can move back to the mansion,” Xander said.

Aldrich Marsh, the scheming villain, has been sent back to the country and will soon be sentenced to death.

After all, he carried the burden of several lives on his shoulders and was undoubtedly doomed.

Freya acknowledged this, then asked about Elijah’s condition, “Has the doctor said when he will be cured?”

There was a moment of silence on the other end before the response came, “The doctor said soon.”

Freya knew without a doubt that during that pause, the person was inquiring about Elijah’s response.

“Xander, is there anything about Elijah that I cannot be kept in the dark about?” Freya’s tone carried a faint hint of threat.

“…”

He felt incredibly trapped.

Caught in the middle.

He couldn’t say anything to Elijah on one side.

Not even a single extra word.

But on Freya’s side, he had to answer her questions honestly.

If he accidentally said the wrong thing, he would have to face the pressure from Elijah.

In his mind, he silently thought.

If only Evan could take his place at a time like this.

But he knew it wasn’t possible.

Evan’s injuries were too severe, and he would need a year or more to recover.

During this time, Elijah would only have him.

Just thinking about it made him feel a great deal of pressure.

He smiled, “How could I hide anything from you? Don’t worry, Mr. Silverton is doing well.”

Freya asked, “And where is he?”

“He’s undergoing examination.”

He wasn’t lying about that, as the doctor had just taken him to the examination room.

Freya instructed him, “Take good care of him.”

Elijah only had Xander by his side.

She also knew that Xander’s personal abilities didn’t measure up to Evan’s.

If Evan were by Elijah’s side, she would feel a lot more at ease.

After the call ended, Freya hung up the phone.

Kai looked at her, “Mom.”

Freya looked up, “Yes?”

“Can we go see Dad?” he blinked innocently with his big eyes.

Freya stared at him for a long time, “Your intention is still not to write, isn’t it?”

Kai, “…”

It seemed like he had been exposed again.

Freya said, “Don’t have any crooked thoughts.”

Elijah didn’t want him to go.

So she wouldn’t go.

She was a doctor.

She also knew that in cases like this, he might also feel pressured.

So she waited quietly for his safe return.

Kai, “…”

He could only study honestly.

During dinner, Freya didn’t see Orion.

She asked Linda about it.

Linda said she didn’t see him.

Freya took out her phone and called him.

The call went through, but no one answered.

She furrowed her brow lightly and put down her phone.

She finished the last of her soup, got up, and took Morton from Elowen’s arms, taking him to the living room to play.

Thinking that when Orion came back, she would tell him that she could go back.

There were too many inconveniences here.

There were a lot of people.

They couldn’t stay here forever.

Around nine o’clock, Orion still hadn’t returned.

She called again, but there was still no answer.

Her brow knitted.

Where did he go?

Why hasn’t he come back so late?

Did something happen?

It wasn’t surprising that she was worried.

So much had happened recently.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

She couldn’t help but worry.

After careful consideration, she couldn’t shake the feeling of unease, so she dialed his number once more.

After a while, the call connected.

Freya spoke up, “Orion, where are you? Why couldn’t I reach you?”

“Who is this?”

A woman’s voice came from the other end.

Freya was stunned.
