You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 711: How to Prove

“What’s the matter?” Freya’s heart skipped a beat.

Elijah served her food, placing it in her bowl. “I need to go on a long trip for work.”

“How long?” Freya asked.

“Two weeks,” Elijah replied, looking at her. “I’ve arranged for a maid to come tomorrow…”

“Go ahead, don’t worry,” Freya said.

Looking at Elowen, she finally turned her gaze to Elijah. “I’ve quit my job, I’ll take care of the family.”

Elijah’s expression stiffened slightly, then he gazed deeply at her.

Before Elijah could say anything, she spoke, “I feel like there’s too little time spent with the children, I want to focus on being a mother.”

She always knew that Elijah was accommodating her.

Many of his tasks could be handled online.

This time, he had to go because there was a lot of work he had to do in person.

“I can’t help you much with work, but from now on, I’ll take care of the family so you don’t have to worry.”

Elijah lowered his gaze slightly.

But he said nothing.

He understood that she was sacrificing her career for him.

Freya didn’t regret it.

In a family, someone has to take care of the household.

Elowen had supported Freya working before.

Now that she had made this decision, Elowen still supported her.

In such a big house, both she and Elijah worked late.

The home was missing warmth.

She patted her daughter’s shoulder. “Kai will be in your care from now on.”

After all, Freya was the mother.

She had missed Kai’s infancy, she didn’t want to miss out on Morton’s too. Even though she saw Morton every day, she didn’t get to take care of him herself.

Freya nodded. “Thank you, mom, you’ve worked hard.”

Without Elowen’s help, she wouldn’t have been able to work.

Taking care of Kai and Morton, such young children, was definitely difficult.

She knew it.

She was filled with gratitude.

At night, Elijah held her.

Freya asked him, “Will you miss me after two weeks of not seeing me?”

Elijah made a soft sound of agreement.

Freya turned around, stood on tiptoe, and hooked her arms around his neck, whispering in his ear, “I don’t believe you.”

Elijah gently lifted her and placed her on the bed.

Her body sank into the soft blankets.

As he unbuttoned her nightgown and kissed her lips, the straps slipped off, leaving a slight chill.

Then his strong body, warm and passionate, enveloped her.

His hands seemed to have a magical touch, causing shivers wherever they roamed.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

She breathed softly.

“Will you miss me?” Elijah whispered by her ear.

His long and distinct fingers caressed her legs.

Full, soft fingertips, warm and tender, moving upwards.

Freya turned her head, burying her face in his neck, softly saying, “Yes.”

Clothes fell away, entwined and passionate.

At the last moment, Elijah suddenly stopped, looking down at her, “Will this harm you?”

Freya opened her eyes and saw the intense redness in his eyes, still trying to restrain himself.

Her mind was briefly clouded.

Only slowly did she understand his meaning.

No matter what, this would be considered a miscarriage.

He was afraid of hurting her body.

Freya also came to her senses.

She had been lost in the moment, forgetting about this.

This was like a miscarriage, just too brief.

Even in the case of a miscarriage, rest was needed.

She touched his face. “Yes.”

Her black hair spread out like seaweed, her delicate face nestled in it, cheeks flushed.

Her lips were pink, a hint of haziness still in her eyes.

She looked so enticing.

Elijah’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down.
