You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 706 Don’t Let Me Feel Ashamed

Elijah quickly obtained Freya’s medical records through his networking efforts.

However, he didn’t understand what was written in the diagnosis column about “biochemical pregnancy.”

The gynecologist at the hospital explained, “Biochemical pregnancy, simply put, is a very early miscarriage. When the pregnancy sac cannot be seen in the uterine cavity on ultrasound, it has already miscarried, just like having a period.”

Freya’s situation was such that her miscarriage coincided with her menstrual cycle, making it seem like a regular period.

Elijah, upon hearing this, understood.

He also understood why Freya had said those things in a drunken state that day.

His emotions were only slightly stirred.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

What concerned him more was, “Does it affect her health?”

He knew that Freya had been injured during Morton’s birth.

He also knew that she could no longer have children.

With Kai and Morton, he was content.

The doctor said, “No, it’s just that her overall health isn’t the best.”

This, Elijah was aware of.

He left the hospital.

After leaving the hospital, Freya didn’t go straight home. Instead, she bought some groceries.

She was interested in trying out a few dishes and wanted to cook.

Upon arriving home, she began prepping.

Cleaning the ingredients, getting everything ready.

When Elijah came back, he saw someone in the kitchen.

He approached.

Seeing that it was Freya, bustling around actively.

She had an apron tied around her waist.

A slender figure.

Freya was focused on setting aside marinated meat.

Then, she prepared the starch.

She printed out the recipe steps and stuck them on the wall, referring to them as she cooked.

Elijah walked up, wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, chin resting on her shoulder, softly asking, “What are you doing?”

Freya turned to him, smiled, and said, “Making fried pork cubes.”

“Something new you learned?”

Freya nodded, “Yes. I can’t just cook stir-fried vegetables for you every day, right? I need to learn a few more dishes so you don’t get tired of eating the same thing.”

Elijah went to hold her hand, but Freya pulled away, “My hands are oily.”

“It’s okay.”

Elijah, eyes lowered, held her hand tightly, “Let’s not cook, let’s go eat out.”

Freya looked at him in confusion, “I’ve already prepared everything, what’s wrong with you? Is work not going well? Why do you look so pale?”

Elijah didn’t speak, just held her tightly.

Embraced her.

Only then did he feel a bit better.

Freya squirmed, “I can’t breathe properly, let me go first.”

“I just want to hold you.”

Freya, helpless, said, “When did you become so clingy, why are you acting like Kai?”

Elijah said, “It’s Kai who is like me, I’m the father after all.”

Freya, “…”

She felt Elijah’s emotions and quietly allowed him to embrace her without resistance.

Kai barged in, saw the two of them holding each other, and covered his eyes, “Embarrassing.”

Elijah turned to look at his son, “Come here.”

Kai, with his short legs, ran over in a hurry, Elijah patted his head and asked him in a low voice, “Were you well-behaved today?”

Kai nodded, “Yes, I was very good.”

Elijah let go of Freya, crouched down to look at his son, and asked in a low voice, “Are you still angry?”

Kai shook his head.

Elijah picked him up, “Let’s help Mommy cook.”

“No, you two go out. I’m nervous here; it’s my first time cooking, and if it doesn’t turn out well, I’ll be embarrassed.” Freya wiped her hands and pushed them out, “Go watch TV.”

Kai clapped happily.

“I want to watch TV.”

Elijah had no choice but to take Kai to the living room.

Freya saw them watching TV in the living room and continued cooking with peace of mind.

She heated oil, fried the marinated meat coated in starch in the pan.

Midway through frying, Elijah walked in.

She said, “Why aren’t you outside playing with Kai? Why are you back?”

Elijah handed her the phone, “It’s a call.”

“Whose?” she asked.

Elijah held the phone to her ear.

She looked at Elijah and answered the call.
