"Aury, do you know who Dr. Shadow was in the past?" Linda asked in suspicion.

Aurora nodded. "Yeah, I do."

"Then, why are you still taking the pills she gave you? Aren't you worried that something might be wrong with them?" said Linda.

Of course, there was no way Aurora wouldn't be worried. However, she had no other choices. Other than Hera, no one else could save her child! So, she had to take the risk!

Since she had something Hera wanted, she figured the latter wouldn't dare to do anything to her. Aurora cleared the doubt she had in her mind and pretended to be confused.

"Why would she want to hurt me?"

Linda saw how innocent Aurora looked and wondered if the latter truly didn't know what she was implying. After all, Hera wasn't the same young lady from back then that could be seen through.

Instead, she was the amazing Dr. Shadow. If she wanted, any wealthy guy would gladly be used by her, and Nicholas was a great example.

After pondering on it, she said calmly, "You're right. She has no reason to hurt you. I'm worrying too much."

Since Hera wasn't doing anything at the moment, she had no reason to be anxious. Instead, she should just calmly watch out for anything suspicious. Roman quietly watched from the side as Aurora and Linda chatted, and he had a feeling that there was a shameful history between them and Hera.

"With Dr. Shadow taking care of you herself, I'm sure you and Chad have nothing to worry about. I still have something to attend to, so I shan't disturb you further."

After saying that, Linda got up. Before she left, she reminded Aurora, "Remember to drink the chicken soup. Otherwise, it's going to taste stale when it's cold."

"Sure. Thanks again, Aunt Linda. Roman, see your grandaunt out," said Aurora.

Roman nodded and got up as well to accompany Linda out. When they got out of the house, he looked around and noticed no one was around.

He couldn't stop being curious and asked, "Grandaunt, Dr. Shadow is just Hera, right? Why would she want to hurt Mom?"

Seeing how innocent he looked, Linda suddenly had a plan. She stopped in her tracks and ruffled his hair before asking, "Since you know Hera, do you know what her relationship is with your Granduncle Bernard?

"Of course!" he answered, thinking Hera was just Bernard's partner.

Ever since Hera exposed Camille, Bernard embraced Hera in public and stunned everyone in Jedburgh with their relationship. Back then, Roman was shocked as well to find out that Bernard wasn't actually interested in men!

If Bernard was actually interested in men, then he wouldn't be able to get married. As Aurora's adoptive son, Roman would be a legal heir as well.

There were six children in the Killian family, and there were only three guys among them.

Among the three of them, the eldest passed away shortly after birth. Greg's son was greatly ill after his parents passed away, and his brain was damaged because of it. Frederick was the only one who was still considered fine.

Roman found out that Frederick was only interested in men. However, since the latter was good at hiding it, no one in the family knew about it. So, the only potential heirs were Bernard, Frederick, and Roman.
