Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death

Chapter 294

Xavier had become even more prone to anger after losing both his sight and his memories. Apart from Yvette, he wasn't polite to anyone.

When Shannon thought about his attitude toward her just now, she felt very anxious. She asked Mark," What do you think we should do to get him to accept other people?"

Mark didn't know how to answer.

"Apart from dating Daphne and marrying Yvette, Mr. Lane has had no other women in his life." Xavier had always been focused more on his career. He had never cared at all about relationships and love. Shannon had completely forgotten about Daphne and only remembered her at Mark's mention of her. "Oh, right. Where is Daphne now?"

Mark gulped and only answered after a moment, "She's at Tirion Asylum."

In Tirion Asylum's director's office, Daphne stood in her hospital gown. Her eyes were blank, and her hair

was a mess.

When she saw Shannon, fear flashed in her eyes. She thought that Shannon had come to condemn her, so she immediately started to play dumb. "I'm sorry; I didn't do it on purpose! I won't do it again. I'm sorry!"

Shannon was rather shocked to see her in that state. "How did you end up like this?"

Daphne didn't reply. A few days ago, Tristan had come to torment her. If she hadn't pretended to be insane, he wouldn't have relented so easily.

Shannon sighed. The director stood behind her, looking deferential. She said, "It seems like I came here for nothing. She really has gone insane."

With that said, she turned to leave.

Daphne was about to be led off, but she didn't want to continue being locked up with psychiatric patients, so she ran over to Shannon. "Madam Shannon, I'm not crazy."

Shannon paused and turned to look at her. Daphne continued, "I've seen the news. If you don't mind, I can take care of Xav."

"Xavier was the one who locked you up here. Don't you hate him?" Shannon asked.

Daphne shook her head. "I know that Xavier was deceived. Those videos are all fake. I've never done anything to betray him, and I've always loved him."

Shannon didn't care what the truth was. She just wanted someone to take care of Xavier, and it would be best if they could have a child.

"Alright. Get in the car with me," Shannon said. Since she had spoken, the director couldn't keep Daphne locked up any longer.

Daphne walked out of the mental asylum with Shannon. When she saw the blue sky outside, she felt as if she had been reborn.

When they got in the car, Shannon warned her, "I don't care what happened in the past. In the future, you must be wholeheartedly devoted to Xavier." "Okay." Daphne nodded.

After getting locked up, she had realized that even a celebrity like her was less than an ant to the Lanes. They could crush her with one hand.

Daphne went to Dewberry Manor with Shannon. When she heard that Xavier had lost both his memories and his sight, she couldn't help but feel secretly delighted.

If he had lost his memories, it meant that he wouldn't remember what she had done in the past. That would mean that everything from here on out would depend entirely on what she said, wouldn't it?

It was a cold, snowy day, but there was no warmth in Dewberry Manor at all.

Daphne pushed the door open and entered. She immediately saw Xavier sitting on the couch. He sat upright, which accentuated his chiseled side profile. His eyes were jet-black, and it was impossible to tell that he was blind.

She stood there doubtfully, but Xavier spoke up. "Who is it?"This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

When Daphne saw that he was looking at her but didn't recognize her, she realized that Shannon had been telling the truth. "Xav, it's me."

After Xavier had been discharged from the hospital, he had made a point of memorizing the voices of everyone around him. But the voice at the door was unfamiliar to him, so he became wary at once. "Who are you?"

"I'm Daphne Reyes. I was once your girlfriend.”
