Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death

Chapter 293

Xavier kept to his word; he hadn't contacted Yvette since the two of them had left the courthouse. He didn't mention her to anyone around him, either.

It was late at night, but there were no lights on in Dewberry Manor at all. Suddenly, there was a loud bang as something made of glass shattered on the floor.

A bodyguard immediately tried to go in. "Mr. Lane, are you alright?"

"Get out!" a voice ordered coldly.

The bodyguard retreated at once.

Xavier stood in the dining room. His hand was bleeding from where a shard of glass had cut him.

He didn't seem to feel pain as he felt around and turned on the tap and let the cold water wash over his wounded hand.

Over the past few days, he hadn't just smashed things; he had also fallen down several times.

Luckily, he had memorized where everything was in the house, and he wouldn't get it wrong again.

When the wound finally stopped bleeding, Xavier turned off the tap and left the kitchen. He went to the living room alone and sat on the couch. Among the memories he still had, he could remember Yvette sitting on the couch and waiting for him to

come home.

Footsteps sounded outside the house. Xavier thought that it was the bodyguard again, so he said impatiently, "Get lost!"

The person who pushed the door open and entered wasn't the bodyguard, though. It was Shannon.

Shannon's brow furrowed when she saw that it was pitch-black inside the house. "Why didn't you turn the lights on?"

She saw Xavier sitting inside, only to belatedly realize that she had said the wrong thing. After all, why would someone who was blind need to turn the lights on?

It was very cold inside the house since the heater hadn't been turned on. Shannon turned it on before going over to Xavier.

"Xavier, you've almost completely recovered now. I've found a few appropriate candidates for you. They're from good families, and they're all pretty good choices. They all say that they've admired you since they were young."

"Could you make some time to meet them tomorrow?" The women she was talking about were all only 20 years old. They were all young and beautiful, and most importantly, they were all perfectly healthy. Shannon had met all of them one by one, and they were all obedient and easily controlled.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Xavier's expression was cold. "Didn't you hear what I said? Get lost."

Shannon jumped in shock. "Why are you speaking to me like that?"

Xavier had had an unpleasant personality even before he lost his memories, but he had never yelled at her. Now that he had lost his memories, he was actually yelling at her!

Xavier's expression didn't change at all. "If you want others to respect you, you should respect them first. I won't meet the women you mentioned. You may leave,

Shannon had thought that Xavier would be more agreeable after losing his memories. Unexpectedly, he only behaved agreeably with Yvette. As for everyone else, he had become even more vicious and irritable than he had been before.

"Xavier, do you know that the company is in chaos right now? You must have your own son to be able to overpower our relatives from the other branches of the family."

When Xavier saw that she had refused to leave and was continuing to nag him, he got up and went upstairs.

If it hadn't been for the fact that he still needed to rely on his hands to hold onto the banister, Shannon would have almost believed that he had recovered his sight.

Seeing that she couldn't convince him, she had no choice but to leave.

When she went outside, Mark got out of the car. "Madam Shannon."

"Has Xavier been alone at Dewberry Manor over the past few days?"

Mark nodded. "Mr. Lane refuses to let anyone in there to take care of him. I personally deliver his meals." "He can't see anything. How can he stay alone at home?" Shannon felt agitated.

"Mr. Lane hasn't fallen down much or bumped into anything over the past few days. I've been keeping an eye on him. He seems to have memorized every spot in the manor." Mark was sincerely impressed with Xavier.

Shannon was upset. "Xavier has had photographic memory since he was a child. He would never forget anything unless he wanted to, but now he's lost his memories."
