Trapped pregnant with a Billionaire child

What did she see, actually?

Marco had just ended the call with Pedro when Desi was seen rushing in a hurry.

“Sir,” Desi said, causing Marco to furrow his brow. “What’s going on?”

“Madam is not in the library,” Desi said, prompting Marco to run towards the library. It was impossible for Letta to disappear from his own residence, let alone leave the large house without anyone noticing.

“Search the corners of the library. There’s no way Letta left without anyone knowing, not a single person,” Marco said, making Desi nod. Desi then instructed the servants to search, but their efforts yielded no results. There was only a book on the table that they had been reading earlier.

“Didn’t I tell you to quickly deliver food and drinks to Letta?” Marco said, making Desi nod.

“I immediately followed your order, Sir. It might have only been a few minutes before I went to the library, but Madam was already gone,” Desi said, causing Marco to rub his face roughly.

“In that case, search the entire house, don’t leave any corner unchecked,” Marco said, making the others disperse. Marco then quickly left the library. Could it be that Letta was walking around in another room? But when Marco was about to head towards the garden, his steps halted. He saw that the lock that should have been tightly secured was slightly open, causing Marco to furrow his brow. The next moment, Marco felt his heart beating rapidly. His current shadow was whether Letta might have gone to the back corridor of their house.

Eventually, Marco slowly pushed open the large wooden door. The lock wasn’t properly secured, and it was unlikely that Letta could have opened it with bare hands. Marco slowly stepped inside. This was the first time Marco had set foot in the back of their house after the bad memory he had engraved on Letta. Marco didn’t dare to venture further, but to ensure Letta’s whereabouts, Marco entered the room. Despite the creeping feeling of suffocation, even Marco couldn’t imagine how cruel he had been to leave Letta alone in a room that felt colder and more eerie than the others, a decision he had made himself.

Finally, Marco’s steps halted when a few steps further he approached a room that held a bitter memory for Letta. Marco tried to brace himself to see the small room. Eventually, Marco tried to exhale slowly and continued his steps. The next moment, Marco widened his eyes when he saw Letta lying on the cold, dusty floor. Marco ran and approached, immediately embracing Letta, who looked very cold and pale.

Marco didn’t stay still, immediately lifting Letta’s body and not wanting to linger in the suffocating room. The room was even smaller, smaller than the other rooms in the house. Its location far back in the house made the temperature causing his body to tremble. So, what caused Letta to lose consciousness? Could it be that Letta was starting to realize the memories in that room that held the bitter memories about herself?

The guards and servants immediately ran towards Marco as he carried his wife.

“Quick, call the doctor!” Marco exclaimed, running up the stairs. Desi began to call the doctor as instructed by Marco. Afterwards, Desi approached one of the servants named Rina, who was on duty that day, to check the back corridor.

“Don’t tell me you forgot to lock it,” Desi said, making Rina bow her head.

“I forgot, did I lock it properly or not?” the servant replied, causing Desi to rub her face roughly. If Marco hadn’t found Letta in that room, perhaps Desi could have forgiven her, but this seemed to be a major problem.

“You better pack your things now before Mr. Marco himself drives you out in a very cruel way,” Desi said, making Rina immediately look up.

“Give me a chance. I] really forgot to lock it. I was in a hurry when you called me back earlier.”

“I don’t have the authority, because Mr. Marco won’t overlook such a small mistake, especially when it concerns his wife. So it’s better for you to pack now. Do you want me to tell him everything? It’s better that I get reprimanded than you becoming the target. I’m doing this because I care. You’re also a new servant here, so maybe the Master will understand,” Desi said, making Rina have no choice. In the house, besides Marco and Pedro, Desi also had the authority to dismiss servants who did not meet the homeowner’s expectations. Desi immediately returned to her employer’s room.

“Have you contacted the doctor?” Marco asked again as Desi entered.

“Yes, Sir. I brought clean water and a small towel to clean Madam’s face,” Desi said, allowing Marco to take over. Letta was found lying on the very dusty floor. The side of her body looked very dirty, as did her face. Her pale complexion made Marco even more worried.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

“What did she see, actually?” Marco muttered, starting to wipe Letta’s face with the warm towel.

“I apologize, Sir, for my negligence in not being able to monitor the work of the other servants, so one of them forgot to lock the back room,” Desi said, bowing her head, causing Marco to stop his movements.

“Have you taken action against the servant?” Marco asked, making Desi nod her head.

“I have dismissed her without providing severance pay. I think that’s enough. She was also a new employee, so I don’t think there’s a need to take it any further,” Desi said, causing Marco to clench his hands.

“You made that decision right away because you didn’t want me to be the one to teach her a lesson, right?” Marco asked, seemingly familiar with how Desi always felt sorry for the people under her.

“I apologize, Sir. I was bold enough to make that decision on my own,” Desi replied, causing Marco to fall silent again.

“Quickly call the doctor again. I need them as soon as possible,” Marco said, choosing to continue wiping Letta’s face with the warm towel. Meanwhile, Desi immediately went back out and called the doctor. Of course, Desi already knew the condition of her employer. Especially now, seeing Letta once again looking helpless on the bed. Desi didn’t understand why these recent unfortunate incidents involving Letta seemed to be happening more frequently. Couldn’t this small family live in peace and happiness? Desi thought, sometimes feeling deeply sorry for Letta, who always seemed to be the target of everything that happened.

Eventually, a few minutes later, Desi welcomed the arrival of the doctor and escorted them to the second floor. Desi could only wait outside as the doctor examined Letta. Although Desi was very curious about her condition, she couldn’t force herself. Desi could only pray that everything would be fine.
