Marcus POV

I am here today in the office and I have just finished signing the documents needed for the new branch we are going to build. Soon the door opened and my mom entered.

“Mom.” I said smiling.

She also smiled at me. “How are you son? You’re too busy and I can hardly see you at home anymore. ”

“I’m sorry mom, I really have a lot to focus on.” I explain.

I saw her sighed. “It’s almost how  many months already and have you still not seen anyone you can marry or even introduce your girlfriend to?” He laughed.

“Mom, I think we’re done talking about that last time!” I promise.

“I’m just joking son, you’re too serious.”

“Because that’s what you always open up to me, you know I don’t have time to get into that kind of thing.” I said.

She laughed because of what I said, not because they were rushing me into such a thing, they knew that I was not ready yet because I was too busy with our company.

I bowed while squeezing my senses, I felt pressure for a few months because of our business. But I have to suffer because my parents only expect me because I am an only child and I don’t want to disappoint them either.

Even though it wasn’t what I wanted, I still studied Business to help my family because I didn’t want to end up with nothing that my parents were suffering from.

“Anway Marcus, how is our new branch? Did you find an architect and interior designer for that?” she asked.

“I’m still working on it mom, don’t worry about it. I can find someone to do that. ” I assure her.

“I trusted you son, I know you can do it.”

“Mom, don’t pressure me. Maybe later I won’t be able to sleep just to find the person we need. ” I was joking.

I stood up and hugged her. “Thank mom for trusting me.”

“You are my son Marcus and my duty is to support you in everything you do. You’ve done enough for this company even if I know that this is not what you want. ”

“I’m already starting to love this mom, I know that no one else will take care of our company if not me.” I promise.

Not long after, she also said goodbye because she still had to go somewhere. That’s why I love my mom so much because she’s always there for me.

I’m having a hard time finding a new designer for the branch we’re going to build but Zey recommended to me someone she knows who has graduated in this field, she said she’ll try to talk to her friend because she’s also looking for a job because she just came from another country.

Agatha POV

I woke up because of my friend’s disturbance, it was early in the morning and she was already here in the condo. We had just finished eating and I was just sitting on the veranda while Zey was still putting away what we were eating.

“Ouch! Why?” I screamed when Zey suddenly hit me.

She scolded me. “Haler! I’ve been talking to you for how many minutes, but you’re not listening. What are you thinking? Or is that the effect of not seeing Ethan? ”

“What are you talking about? What has that man got to do with it? I’m wondering where to look for a job, you know I need it. ” I said.

“Why don’t you just accept Ethan’s help. Stop being a bitch. ”

I gasped for breath. “You know my reason, Zey.  Ethan has no obligation to me so I don’t want to take advantage of him. ” I promise.

“If you don’t want to accept his help, then apply to their company as easy as that..”

“I don’t know. Maybe I can find a job without being connected to him. ”

“I have an acquaintance who is looking for someone to design the new hotel and restaurant they are going to build, you might want to try.”

“Where’s that? Are you sure you know the CEO? Maybe later I’ll be damned.” I said and she immediately kicked me.

“What do I think I’ll sell you or ruin you? Your brain is like a cough.”

I laughed because of her attitude. “Just making sure! Maybe you’re planning something with me, I know that you are crazy sometimes.”

“Oh bitch don’t me!.” She just rolled her eyes at me, sometimes this woman was really crazy.

“But seriously, is what you’re saying true? Maybe I can do that.” I told her.

“You can try, I actually talked to him yesterday and I recommended you even though I don’t know if you’ll agree or not. He’s looking for an architect and interior designer, isn’t that your course?”

“You know I’m looking for a job so I’ll agree to that, but isn’t he strict when hiring an employee?” I ask.

“Depends? He’s serious when it comes to work so I can’t answer your question but he’s kind.”

“What’s his name again?” I ask.

“Marcus Montreal.”

My eyes widened when she said the name. “He is the son of the owner of the Montreal Company? Isn’t he the classmate of yours when you were in college that you told me about who is a bad boy but handsome? You even said that you have a crush on him.”

“You are too exaggerated! I only said that he is handsome but I didn’t like him so stop what you are saying it’s nonsense. ”

“Why so defensive Zey? I know what I’m saying is true, maybe it’s because you like him so you’re annoyed with him and as far as I remember you often see him at business events.” I said while laughing.

“It’s normal that I’ll see him in some business events, Agatha. My parents and his parents are friends and business partners and now he’s the one who manages their company.”

“Oh that means you know everything about him right?” I’m still teasing her.

“Whatever! Cut this topic of ours about him cause it’s nonsense, just try to apply to their company. If you will get accepted then it’s a good thing but if not we can’t do anything about it.”

We talked about things until she said she would already go home. I was left alone in the condo, it was really good and Zey lent it to me so my problem was reduced.

I wonder if I will try to apply to that Company? That is really my course and I also have a lot of experience because I worked abroad as their architect and interior designer as well, not only in big companies unlike today which is also known as the Montreal Company.

But I’m also hesitant because I’m sure there are many who will  apply to them who are good and more famous than me.
