Agatha POV

I was stunned for a moment when I heard what Ethan said. Is he serious? Does he really let me leave?

“Change your clothes and don’t wear anything too revealing because you don’t work at the bar. Organize yourself like college graduates. If you want to buy something, you can use this card.” he added.

I just stared at his face seriously. “Why suddenly change your mind Ethan? Did you give up on me already? ” I ask. Want to know if he’s just joking or not.

He smiled at me but obviously strained. “I let you go Agatha because I know that’s what you need and it will be good for you. You inspired me to focus more on studying until I graduated and became the CEO of our company. I always think of you as well as your situation. I’m just happy to have you back. ” He said.

“Ethan p-.”

I didn’t finish what I was going to say when he spoke again. “You know what Agatha? I’m so happy to see you here at home. I would like you to stay here with me but it has come to my mind that I am becoming too selfish. If my happiness is the reason for your sadness, I will not accept it. I love you and don’t want to see you hurt because of me. ” he spoke long.

I don’t know but I’m hurt by what I hear from him, I can see the pain in his eyes. Knowing he was having a hard time with this decision to let me go.

“You know what Ethan, I don’t really understand you.” I said softly.

He did not say a word and remained silent.

“If that’s your decision then fine. But I will not ask for any help from you. I can handle myself because I am not your obligation. ” I strongly promise.

“Fix yourself and go now.” he seriously promised and left.

He seems sure of what he said to me, he’s really letting me go but why do I feel sad to think that I’m leaving and I can’t be with her anymore? Isn’t it and should I be happy because I can finally get out of this place? But why do I seem to feel the opposite?

I got up and arranged myself, I also took my bag. When I was sure that everything was fine with me, I left the room and went downstairs. He was sitting on the sofa while drinking coffee.

“Why are you still there? I said you can now leave. ” he promised when he noticed me standing on the side.

I swallowed because of the coldness of his voice. “I-I’ll just wait for my best friend.” I stammered in response.

He did not answer and remained silent, later he turned on the TV and watched.

I didn’t even bother to say goodbye to Ethan because he didn’t seem to care when I left. I went straight out and saw Zey leaning against her car.

She waved at me when she saw me, we immediately got in the car and she drove away.

“Best can you accompany me? I need to find an apartment? Even if it is not big, it is fine with me. ” I suddenly promised.

She looked at me as she frowned. “Why? I thought you would stay there in the Hernandez family’s house. ”

I gasped for breath. “Because I want to live on my own and not depend on others. And one more thing, I shouldn’t be there because I don’t belong to their family. ”

“I don’t get you. Last time you decided to go back to that house and now you left again but it’s your decision, I will support you. And about what you’re saying, you can stay in my condo, no one uses it. ”

“Really?” I asked her and she nodded.

Thank you best. I’ll just pay you. ” I smiled.

“No need to do that, you’re no different from me Agatha so you don’t have to pay me. By the way, how’s your stay in that house with one of the Hernandez’s?

“Well, nothing has changed, I was just surprised to find out that Ethan still lives there.” I confessed.

“You can’t blame him either, even if something bad happened in that house, it’s still important to him. His family’s memory is there so maybe he chose to stay there. ”

I nodded, Zey was right to know how hard it was for Ethan to leave that house where they became a whole and happy family.

We first went to the mall to go around and eat a snack. I also need to buy clothes and things I will need to live in Zey’s condo. I’m also going to buy groceries so I don’t have to go outside anymore. I just want to thank my friend because she let me stay in her condo so I also save a lot because I don’t have to pay rent anymore.

It was almost night when Zey and I finished, we didn’t know the time so we just ate dinner first. Then she drove me so that we wouldn’t spend the night together and so that she could go home.

She didn’t come with me to the condo anymore because her parents called to her because they were going somewhere. I already know the passcode of her unit and she also told the staff of the building that I will be the one to live in her unit.

Once I entered the unit I first arranged the groceries I had bought in the kitchen and then I went to the veranda to breathe some fresh air.
