Trapped In The Arms Of The Billionaire

Chapter 118

Belle POV

I will now go to the hospital where Gian was taken, because I found out from Agatha that he got into an accident so I didn’t hesitate to travel there immediately. Luke wouldn’t even let me but I still insisted.

I am now walking towards where Gian’s room was provided by the nurse I asked about. I didn’t bother to knock anymore and I just opened the door. I saw that Gian and Maxine were talking happily and they immediately looked at me when they noticed me.

“What are you doing here?” Maxine asked me.

“I’m just going to visit Gian.” I answered.

“As you can see he is fine so you can leave now.”

“He is the one I am visiting and not you so you have no right to evict me.” I said.

She would have something to say but Gian had stopped her. “I’m okay Belle if that’s what you want to know. I’m still alive so if you don’t mind you can leave.” Gian said seriously, I admit that I was hurt because he is pushing me away while Maxine is here.

“See? You heard what Gian said, didn’t you? I think you understand already that he doesn’t want to see you.” Maxine said again.

“You really want to involve yourself always, don’t you? I’m not talking to you.” I said to her,

“There’s nothing wrong with what I’m saying, he said he’s okay and you can leave.”NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.

“It’s not you who decides if I leave or not.” I promise.

“Where do you get the thickness of your face Belle? Why are you here? You’re not welcome. Gian is sending you away right? Don’t push yourself here.”

“And what do you think of yourself? That you’re welcome here?” I fired back.

I saw her laugh. “So funny! I’m welcome here because

Gian allowed me to be here beside him and I’m watching over him, how about you? Maybe Agatha told you that Gian had an accident right? Because if not you will not be here, right? So why did you come back? ” she scoffed.

“You don’t know my reason so you have no right to tell me that. You have no right to dictate to me whether I will come back or not.” I said boldly.

“Don’t act like you’re concerned about Gian because we all know you’re not. Did you forget why he’s lying in this hospital bed right now? It’s because of you! You’re the reason why he had an accident!”

Gian held Maxine’s hand as if calming her and it makes me want to cry seeing him holding someone else. “Enough Maxine,” he said.

“I just want to talk to Gian.” I promise.

“Let her Max, I’ll just talk to her for a moment.”

I saw her sigh and started to leave the room. So the two of us were left here inside.

“What do you want to talk about? Please hurry up Belle because I want to rest, my wounds still hurt.” he said, I can see no emotion in his face.

“I came here to explain to you everything you saw yesterday. Because -.”

“Stop! I’m not ready to listen now Belle. I already told you yesterday that I don’t care about your decisions in life anymore because we’re done.”

“But Gian, please listen to me first.” I beg.

“Did you listen when I begged you? Did you? I’m tired Belle and I want peace of mind. You choose to leave right? Then continue your life now.”

I quickly grabbed his hand as tears began to stream down my eyes. I saw him avert his eyes and remove his hand that I am holding.

“Please Belle, go away. You already saw that I’m fine.” he added.

“Are you serious about this? Pushing me away?” I asked.

“Yes, I don’t want to see nor talk to you.” he answered without looking at me.

And because he seemed serious about what he was saying I didn’t insist anymore because I might be even more hurt by what he would say when I stayed here for long. I got up and walked closer to the door and he didn’t look back.

“Get well soon Gi, Take care always.” I said and left.

When I came out I saw Maxine sitting. “Belle are you okay?” she asked when she could get close to me.

I couldn’t help the pain I was feeling when my Gian pushed me away so I hugged Maxine and after a few seconds I let go as well.

I smiled at her. “I’m fine Max, thank you for asking. Take care of him for me. I need to go now.” I promised and didn’t wait for her to say anything.

Maxine POV

When Belle left I immediately entered the room where Gian was and I found him bent over with his fists clenched.

“What happened Gian?” I asked him.

“Did she leave already?”

“Yes, what happened? Why is she crying? Did you push her away?” I said.

He nodded slowly.

“Why did you do that? I thought you loved her.” I promise.

“I just need space to think Max, I don’t want to talk to her because I’m angry and I might just hurt her more.”

“But you’re already hurting her, Gian, I was expecting you to defend her over me earlier. If both continue being stubborn you won’t really get along. Don’t hurt yourselves because I know you love each other. I never give up and let go if you wouldn’t be happy. Think better! Come back to your senses and don’t be stupid! ” I said.

He didn’t speak and just remained bent over, I know he was also hurt when he pushed Belle away. I just hope the two of them will already fix their relationship because I can see in their eyes how much they love each other.

Later, the doctor came in to check on his condition, he said that everything was normal but because he had a broken leg, he could not walk for a while but when he healed it would be okay again. So for now he needs to use a wheelchair.

“Do you want to eat?” I asked him when the doctor came out.

He shook his head. “I’m still full. I want to rest.” he answered me.

“All right, looks like you really need that.” I promised and helped him lie down properly.

“Thank you Maxine.” he whispered softly.

“It’s nothing! We’re friends right? You know what Belle should be here in my place, watching over you.” I answered.

He did not answer and closed his eyes. I, on the other hand, went back to my seat and started reading emails on my laptop, even though I was here in the hospital, I never forgot my work.
