Luke POV

When I got out of the room I found Belle sitting in the living room. Last night when I came home to the Hacienda I saw her here in the house. I was wondering why she is here. My brother didn’t mention anything to me even my sister in law Agatha. I know her, she is Ethan’s friend. I didn’t ask her when I saw her last night because I was tired so I immediately went straight to the bedroom and slept.

I went to the kitchen to get coffee and went back to where Belle was. “Where are they?” I asked her.

“They both left because they said they needed to take care of something but they will also come back later. I never thought you would come home last night.” she promised.

“I’m here thrice a week or if I want to rest,  I’m handling some of the business of our family.” I answered.

“It’s good to know that you have already decided to come back.”

“I don’t have any choice because Agatha and Ethan have already seen me.” I promise.

“Well, those two won’t stop bothering you when you don’t go with them.”

I looked at her seriously. “How about you? Why are you here?” I asked her.

I saw her bow down her head. “Ethan suggested that I just stay here when I told them that I plan to go on vacation to have a rest for a while.”

“Stop lying to me Belle, you won’t be here in this place if you really wanted to take a vacation.” I said seriously.

She immediately looked at me. “W-what do you mean? There’s nothing wrong with having a vacation in this place, the air is fresh and peaceful.” her defense.

“You can’t fool Hernandez, maybe you’re running away or avoiding someone.” I said.

“I know that you and Gian are in a relationship so I won’t be surprised if he’s the one you’re hiding at.” I added.

“You’re really an Hernandez. So you plan to tell him where I am?”

I smiled. “I am and I’m proud of being Hernandez. Well, It depends on your reason.” my short promise.

She slapped me on the shoulder. “I’ll report you to Ethan when you tell Gian where I am!”

“I already told you that my decision will depend on your reason whether I tell or not to tell your boyfriend.” I said while laughing.

“I’m begging you Luke, don’t let him know where I am.” she pleaded sadly.

“Why? What really happened Belle?” I ask seriously.

She told me what had happened to them and why she had left.

“You didn’t even let him explain his side? I hope you gave him a chance to defend himself because you didn’t know what really happened or really the conversation is all about. ” I said.

She shook her head. “I was hurt that day so it wasn’t easy for me to face and talk to him.”

“There’s nothing really good when we put our emotions first. So you don’t have any plans to talk to him anymore? You’re just going to let his ex ruin your relationship? Didn’t you think that when you left you just gave that woman a chance to get the man you love back?” I said.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

“Yes I left but that doesn’t mean that  I’m letting Gian go.. I have a reason why I have to stay away first for our safety.”

I frowned at what she said. “What do you mean?” astonished, I asked her.

“I’m pregnant  and Gian is the father.”

“Damn it!” I exclaimed.

“So I decided to stay away because my pregnancy is difficult, I am not allowed to get stressed so I chose to leave for the safety of our child.”

“Gian is a total jerk.” I said.

“He is but I love him.”

I gasped for breath. “Love really does something different, sometimes a person becomes a fool and a martyr with too much love.” I said softly.

“But it’s fun and it feels good when you love someone, especially when the person you love loves you back.”

“I don’t know what you are talking about, women only bring headaches.” I promise.

“Hey, jerk! You’re even worse because after you get the woman’s virginity, you’ll just leave them.”

“It’s only lust and not love, they want to give themselves without any commitment.” my defense.

“That’s not a valid reason Luke.  Someday you will meet that woman who’s destined for you to be with. I will laugh big time if that happens because I know you can’t say those words anymore. When you’re in love everything impossible becomes possible.”

“And I have no plans for that thing to happen, I don’t want to have stress in life.” I promise.

“I’ll really laugh at you when that happens.”

“Whatever! Let’s just eat.” I said.

She clung to my arm. “Alright! Just cook me.” she said vigorously.

“I’ll just remind you that I’m not Gian.” I said while laughing.

She snorted. “You’re the only one I can be with here so you have no choice.”

“I have because I am not staying here everyday.” I smirked and she just pouted.

I’m just watching Belle now while eating what I cooked for her, she’s no different from us because I’ve treated her like a sister since she became friends with my brother.

I can’t help but feel sorry for her condition now, knowing that her pregnancy will not be easy for her especially since she has no partner because the father of her future child is not there but I believe that they can also overcome this problem.

Not wanting to interfere and lead her in her decision, I am here to support her. Gian deserves to learn his lesson. He needs to decide who he really loves before it’s too late.

I also made a mistake once when I had sex with Darcey, my brother’s girlfriend, so their relationship was ruined but I have my reason, it’s better for them to separate and hurt my brother Ethan than for that woman to just cheat on him. I know that Darcey has different men in her life, everytime she is not with my brother she is having sex with other man and I won’t let her hurt and fool my brother, it doesn’t matter to me if Ethan will be angry to me and thinking I’m ruining his relationship as long as I just keep him away to that woman unworthy woman. Well, that’s in the past already and I informed Ethan about it. He punched me when I told him why I dated Darcey without telling him the real reason why I did that thing but he thanked me at the end.

And I know that he is happy now in his life with the woman he loves and truly loves him too. It’s just sad because they lost their first child but I know God has better plans for them.

“I’m done, thank you for the delicious food. I didn’t know that Luke Hernandez, who was surrounded by maids, also knew how to cook.” Belle suddenly said.

“When our mom was still alive she taught me and Ethan how to cook.” I promise.

“I’m just not used to it because I know you’ve lived like a prince.”

“I’m thankful because I learned to cook because I used the times I left Hernandez’s. It’s not really good to eat at restaurants and fast foods always.” I said.

“I agree, I sometimes prefer to eat at our house.”

“Don’t you feel any different? I mean don’t you feel bad? All I know is that when a woman is pregnant she often feels dizzy.” I asked her.

“Maybe every morning I feel dizzy and I am vomiting which is normal in a pregnant woman but I’m getting used to it.”

“Have you have your checked up?” I asked her .

She nodded. “My cousin is my ob.”

I nodded and continued eating. Then she was the one who presented to clean and wash the dishes, at first I didn’t want to agree but she insisted because she said she could do it so in the end I didn’t do anything and let her.

I just let her in the kitchen first and I went to the veranda. You can see here the beautiful view of the Hacienda. Suddenly I miss our parents because we are often having vacation in this place when they are still alive and we are still complete.
