The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2689

In just two days, I handed over all my work from Green Orange.

Fortunately, Shannon came back in a good state. I was a lot more relieved that Shannon would be helping Marius out with Green Orange.

That morning, I took care of my last task at Green Orange before driving to Grant Corporation.

I heard someone whispering the moment I stepped into the company.

"Keith really left the company. I passed by President Grant's office the other day and it was really empty."

"Did he really go over to Pristine as the news said?"

"Most likely. President Grant treated Keith so well. I didn't expect him to actually jump ship. I heard he's the one who leaked the distributor's benefits."

People liked to gossip. If one made guesses, there would be another who would believe it.

Despite the few of them looking surprised as they surrounded each other to hear the news, they were also somewhat convinced.

I stepped forward and reprimanded them, "You guys ought to be working during work hours."

"Ah, yes, President Lane."

Even if Keith had left Theo to go to Pristine, I did not believe he would do anything to hurt Theo.

"I'll be taking over Keith's job temporarily from today onward. He just changed jobs like any other person would. Don't make wild guesses." "Yes." They bowed their heads one after another.

I got on the elevator and went up to the office. Theo was already working in his place.

I knocked on the door.

Theo raised his head when he heard the knock. Seeing that it was me, a smile made its way across his tired face. "You're here."

It must have been really difficult for him to deal with everything alone for the past two days.

I nodded. "Yes, I came to start work, so please give me your orders, President Grant."

Theo's smile deepened. He then handed me a few documents. "These are Keith's projects from before. I'll be troubling you with them from now on, Miss Lane." "No problem, President Grant. Please rest assured."

After accepting the documents, I left

the office and did not bother Theo anymore. I went to where Keith's office had been. Keith had already packed up his things and now, only some documents remained.

Sighing, I sat down, and just when wanted to switch on the computer, I realized that it was still on. I moved the mouse and the screen lit up.

Did he not turn off the computer?

I looked at the desktop. It was as

simple as

thing's style of doing

things. Although it was not

complicated, every action had been

to the point.

I wanted to locate the relevant file on the computer to do a quick follow-up, but then I found a private document.

I clicked on it, and it was actually a video of me discussing the distributor benefits with Theo!

Keith had gone through the surveillance!

My hand shook on the mouse. Could he have really been behind the leak?

I stood up and went into the office. Theo saw my anxious expression and quickly asked, "What's wrong?"

"There's a video of us confirming the

distributor benefits on Keith's

computer. He went through the surveillance. Does this mean he released the information?" I was unsure and even more incredulous. My eyes narrowed slightly.

Looking at Theo's expression, he did not seem the slightest bit surprised.

I watched his demeanor as I fired off my question, "You already knew that, didn't you?"Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

"Yes, I did," Theo admitted.

Instantly, my head abruptly exploded. "How could it be Keith? It couldn't be him."

I thought he would not betray Theo. I believed Theo thought the same but why did this happen?

Wiping a hand down my face, I looked at the man in front of me. "You knew about it but why you didn't say anything?"

"Wanda, you believe Keith as much as I do, right?"

"Yes, because you trust him.."

"Yes, I do." Theo lowered his gaze. He looked like he was disappointed.
