Chapter 17 – Meeting
Thomas took Elisa in his lap, who had just woken up, and gave her a kiss on the face. He sat down on the bed and signaled, “I’ll be right back. Be nice to Raissa. Daddy loves you.”
And Elisa chuckled and made a sign with her little hands of “I love you.”

By the time they got to the conference room, some people were already on the scene:
Joshua and Karim were sitting on opposite sides of the 8-chair round table.
The mood was strange as soon as they arrived. Joshua tried to talk to Thomas, who still did not know how to react and so looked away, ashamed. This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .
Sera looked at Karim and he did as Thomas did, not wanting to look at her, knowing what his mission was. And that made Sera angry. And so she sat next to Joshua, sulking with Karim.
Thomas sat next to Sera, avoiding Joshua’s gaze. Kyria and Nayssa sat down shortly after him.
Seconds later, Yelena and Yuji arrived. She pulled up a chair at the end of the table to show what she had discovered.
“Hello everyone.” – She said polite.
Then he approached Sera and pressed her cheeks.
“I’m glad you’re here, my patient.”
Sera blushed and Karim looked at Yelena in attack mode. Yuji looked away, also annoyed.
Seeing that the boy had nowhere to sit, Sera opened space and pulled a chair for him.
Yuji tried to deny it at first, but in the end accepted. Sitting next to her, sulking.
It was this energy that Cordelia came across as she entered the room.
“I see you’re very comfortable being here.” – She laughed. ” Anyway, let’s get down to business. Pay attention.” – She said slowly.
And calmly, the principal passed all the information she discovered in detail to the students.
“Sera, can I talk about that person?”
Sera agreed, knowing that Cordelia was referring to her mother.
And so, with information about Ada brought to everyone’s attention, Yelena also shared what she knew and all the information came together.
Finally, Cordelia showed the scroll of the statue of the Mother.
“I think the firstborn should put a like of their blood here. It’s the only method I can see now.”
The director handed a dagger and each of the firstborn made a small cut in the palm and dripped a drop on the paper.
“What now? We wait?” – Sera wrote.
Before the director answered, a crow came carrying a small bluish dome.
Everyone dodged the animal when he put the object on the table.
“Do not be alarmed. This comes from the informant.” – Cordelia said.
Inside the object was a paper, written: “Use the light of the moon.”
“Hmm. So that’s what we have to do.!” – Cordelia commented.
At that moment, Kyria raised her hand and asked:
“Ma’am, who’s the mole?”
“I can’t tell. But it’s someone who’s been helping our school for a long time. If he’s given this advice, I trust him.”
The scroll was placed in the dome and the director placed it in the window so that the moonlight would reach it.
“The meeting ends here. Bring me any new information you discover, just as I will with you.” – She pointed to Thomas and the book.
And so, everyone left, except Thomas, who had his wrist lightly held by Joshua.
“We need to talk.” – He signaled.
Thomas mentioned running away, but Joshua stood in front of him and said,
“Just stop running away.”
“It was you who ran away first, remember?” – Thomas replied in signs.
“Of course I remember. I admit, I was a coward. If I could, I would change things. I repented the same day I was a prejudiced fool with you. You can hate me and never forgive me. But I want to see you, Elisa. And also I can help with the book. My family has confidential files.”
Thomas looked away, frustrated.
Wondering if he was being too resentful to take Joshua away from Elisa. Everyone deserved a second chance, even if his heart still could not forgive. Moreover, he could not deny resources.
Thomas agreed.
“Okay, tomorrow, after school. In my room. It’s safer there.”
——-
On leaving, Sera was surprised with Karim calling her.
“Hey, you little freak.”
Kyria was doing something secret with Nayssa and Yuji and Yelena had to help in the infirmary. So, they were all left in the hallway.
“What do you want?” – She wrote angrily.
“Be careful. Don’t go looking for trouble with a freak with a fetish in your mother, chasing you.”
“I can take good care of myself, thank you.”
“Funny you’ve been to the infirmary several times.”
She’ll be angry, she wrote in a hurry.
“Are you worried about me now? ‘Cause the way you act, like an angry idiot, you don’t.”
Karim was angry with the offense and said:
“Don’t you realize I want to help you, weirdo?”
“It doesn’t look like it.” she replied.
“I shouldn’t even be here with you.”
“And why is it?” – Sera almost tore the paper when writing.
At that moment, he pushed her against the wall and held her waist, kissed her. His lips were rough, but his kiss was soft and affectionate.
Sera reciprocated, also knew not to be near him. But that. It was stronger than her.
She grabbed his shoulders and deepened a kiss, until they both ran out of breath.
They separated, flushed and panting and without saying anything, each went to one side, thinking about what happened and how they had made a mistake.
——
The moon was already shining beautifully in the sky. Everyone had gone to bed. But there was one who was still awake.
His footsteps could hardly be heard. The person wore a dark blue hood, and his face could not be seen.
The individual stopped in front of the meeting room and opened the door slowly. Even if it was locked, it wasn’t too hard for someone of your kind.
The dome shone beautifully as the moonlight touched it.
The mysterious being opened it and put his hand above the parchment. He took a dagger and cut off the palm of his hand. His blood mingled with the others.
The dome was closed and silent steps went towards the door that was closed as if no one had stepped there.
