Me and him?
Diana opened the door, and Ofcourse it was who Aiden told her it was. Wayne!
In his hands was flower that he was holding out for her, she didn’t collect it immediately. Diana stood and look at him for a second before finally deciding to say something.
“Wayne, Why are you here?” She left the door open and walk back inside to sit down.
Wayne came in, shutting the door behind him. “Well, to talk to you. Ain’t you gonna take this flower from me? C’mon, don’t be too harsh.”
Diana rolled her eyes at him and corrected it. “Thank you.” She muttered and drop it on the table recklessly.
“Well, I see you’re still mad at me.”
“Since you know, can you leave?”
“Why? Why are you mad at me .. you approached me to ask me to be your ‘fake boyfriend’ which I agreed, even tho you didn’t tell me for how long it’ll be. Then I got tired and call it over and you’re mad at me?”
Diana didn’t say anything. Even her had asked herself so many times, why exactly is she mad at him?
“I realized both of us are going to end up getting hurt if we continue doing this.”
“Hurt?”
“I fall in love with you Diana! And don’t try to pretend that you had no idea what I’m talking about. You are amazing Diana, and you’d know how hurt I am knowing I can only continue being a fake boyfriend to you and not the other way round.”
There was silence.
The words do come out freely from his mouth but it was a lot for her to take in. Should she say she had been expecting to hear this from him?
Apparently Yes!
Diana knows fully well that she enjoyed Wayne’s company and every single minute with him. but she hasn’t looked at it as Love, she had thought it was just because Wayne was always around her.
Hearing Wayne say all this made her realize the reason she had been hurt when he cancelled their deal.
“About our deal… I didn’t cancel it because I was tired, I cancel it because I don’t want us to be fake anymore. I don’t want us to keep hurting eachother.”
Just as if Wayne was reading her mind.
Diana had no idea what to say but she pushed herself to look at Wayne right in his eyes, and she could see nothing but a guy who had fallen in love.
How ridiculous had it been?
“Why didn’t you tell me about this when you told me you don’t want this anymore? You made me look like a fool and hurt for months.”
“You didn’t let me finish. You went mad to me immediately I said that word and left. Over the months you hadn’t let me explain myself either.”
Diana bits her lower lips like someone who had been catch in an act. And yes, she had just been catch.
Diana knows herself as someone who had always over reacted over little things, but she didn’t expect it to come into this case.
She could’ve allowed him go into details. Or even after Wayne kept coming back to talk to her, she could’ve done better by allowing him say something. But she let herself to be blinded with anger and whatever it is what turned her blind.
“It wasn’t your fault so don’t blame yourself. I’ll totally understand. I just thought I should let you know how I feel, it’s okay if you don’t feel the same.”
“I….” Diana was about responding while Tihana interrupted.
“Diana… Can I get a cup of water please? I’ve been calling you from the room but you wouldn’t answer ”
Diana swallowed and look from Wayne to Tihana before responding.
“I’m sorry. I’ll go get you water.”
Tihana went to sat down and greeted Wayne who she was just noticing his presence.
“How’re you feeling?” Wayne asked and Tihana nodded in respond.
“I heard about what happened too. I hope you’ll let it pass. Anyways, hope our Baby is doing well?”
It made Tihana to laugh. “well, what can I say. His mother is healthy so she should be..”
“Here you go.” Diana handed it over to her.
“Can I get some snacks too, please?”
It made Diana to roll her eyes. “You should know you’re not at Aiden’s house. Just stare everything you want at once.”
Tihana and Wayne laughs as Diana went in again to get the snacks.
“I guess I interrupted something when I came in?” Tihana whispered.
“It’s nothing serious.” Wayne told her, but even he knows it’s something serious.
“Diana loves you. I know that for sure, she’s just this type that makes fuss in every little thing ”
“She do?”
“I didn’t ask you to speak for me Tihana. And here’s a friend who exposed their best friend just to prove a point.” Diana speaks as she handed over the snacks to her.
“Well, I’m just trying to make the gentleman feel better.”
The door bell rang and both Wayne and Tihana turn to look at Diana. “Are you expecting someone?”
Tihana asked, the first person she had thought of was Mr Norman.. her father. She wasn’t just ready to meet him , neither Blossom. She’s gonna freak out if it was him at the door.
“Yeah. Your husband.” Diana answered and stood up while Tihana calmed herself down.
Glad it wasn’t who she thought. At least it was Aiden, the man she once hated and now the man she loves to spend her days with.
“Was I late?” Aiden asks as he walks into the sitting room. He went straight to Tihana and gave her a kiss on the cheeks.
How sweet!
“You went off work early? Is everything okay?”
“Yeah. I told Diana to give me a call once you’re up… I wanted to be with you.” There was this smirk on Aiden’s face that was so visible.
“Well, I’m here ”

“You can check it out.” Aiden told her and turning to Wayne who was sitting next to Diana uncomfortably.
“Could you both help me go pick up something from the store?”
“Me and him?” Diana asked and Aiden nodded with a smirk.
