THE FORGOTTEN LUNA

Chapter 52

LADESSA.

"I think we can stop here, but we need to make it fast," Kael spoke, and I nodded in agreement.

After two hours of driving from the Bellouf Theme Park, we finally stopped so he could tank up, and I could go to the toilet.

I was about to unbuckle my seatbelt when he stopped me. I turned my head to look at him, and he immediately grabbed my chin before pulling me toward him. He then leaned forward, capturing my lips and began kissing me passionately.

"Kael..." I mumbled against his kisses. I wanted to tell him that we needed to leave, but instead, my arms moved on their own, wrapping around his neck, and my lips started kissing him back.

He pushed me back onto my seat, his upper body leaning on me as he kissed me harder and deeper, his grip tightening around my chin.

He then pulled away from kissing me, leaving inches between our lips. I gasped for air as he spoke. "I've been wanting to kiss you for many hours now."

"Then stop talking," I told him before pulling him closer again. This time, I was the first one to kiss him. Maybe it was the ring around my finger that made me aggressive, or possibly because I really liked Kael, and I was taking advantage that he wanted to kiss me.

His hand moved under my shirt, and his fingers skimmed over my skin before they trailed upward and grabbed my breast. My eyes opened wide, but when I saw him with his eyes still closed, lost in kissing me, I shut them again and reveled in the sensation he was giving

I was moaning as our kisses became aggressive, and his hand under my shirt was already playing with my nipples, sending more tingles to spread between my legs.

"Fuck, Adessa. I can smell your arousal... If we don't stop," he was not able to finish his words and began kissing me again.

I unbuckled my seatbelt, ready to adjust my position so I could straddle him, but the beam of another car's headlight distracted us, causing us to abruptly separate from each other.

The car then drove away, not knowing he just disturbed us.

Kael growled as he pressed his back against his seat, throwing his head up and palming his forehead.

I sank into my seat, not knowing what expression I should be showing-embarrassed or disappointed.

Kael then straightened up, wiping his mouth with his thumb before smiling at me. "You make me forget what we're supposed to do."

"It's bad..." I replied.

"Yeah, very bad. We need to focus on reaching the north." He flashed me a teasing smile before he cupped my chin again, wiping the corner of my lips with his thumb. "You taste so good I can't stop myself."

"Stop luring me to kiss you again." I teased him back. "I need to pee."

"Fine. Go, and I'll tank up." He leaned closer and pecked my still-wet lips before he turned around and opened his door.

I thought he would just let me go to the open store, and he would put gas, but he walked me to the door. He went in first, and after checking, he pointed me to the restroom and went out just when I was about to get in. The simple gesture made me feel special. He was really looking out for me.

While inside the restroom, I took time to fix my hair. I brought the pouch with me because Kael wanted me to take it anywhere for safety.

My ID picture for Samantha Grey showed me with glasses on, and I was glad that Rasmus did not forget to add the glasses inside the pouch.

To be honest, it was a small bag, but it seemed to have so much stuff in it.

I put the glasses on and checked myself in the mirror.

Perfect! I like it.

I then went to grab the small envelope inside the pouch. It had Kael's name written on the outside, but it was left unsealed. My curiosity got the best of me, so I opened it and took the paper out. "For protection. Don't get her pregnant until it is safe to do so." - Rasmus

I bit my bottom lip and peeked more

inside the envelope. I saw a

one-piece condom pack there. I

wanted to laugh, knowing one would not be enough if we decided to finally have sex until a certain thought crossed my mind.

I didn't get my period this week. Or was my period due last week?

My heart thundered as I looked in the mirror. I looked pale.

"No, please. Not now." I mumbled.

I didn't want to worry about pregnancy when my name was not yet clear. And I didn't want to pressure Kael.

He didn't want to have kids yet when

we married He said we could wait for two to three years since I was still young but I knew he was just using it as a reason. He probably was not sure if it was me with whom he wanted to have a baby,

No. I can't be pregnant. It was just one time. I told myself.

But the possibility was high. I stopped using pills when he went into a coma, and I knew the period after stopping had a high fertility rate.

"No. I'm not." I said out loud before shoving everything back inside the pouch. I made sure it was zipped up before going out of the restroom. "Kael, is that you?" I heard a female's voice, and it made me snap my head up.

I saw Kael on the other side. He was standing in the store's magazine aisle while the female was in the other aisle, facing him. My eyes

darted down to his hands as he net

discretely removed his wedding ring and slipped it inside his pockets.

The thought of him not wanting the female to know he was married made my heart clench in pain.

"Brooke? What are you doing here?" He smiled widely at her.

"Thirsty. So I stopped over." She smiled alluringly at him and crossed her arms across her chest. "I'm surprised to see you here. I didn't know you go to places such as this."

Kael chuckled heartily as if he did enjoy their small talk, and I was already getting annoyed. I moved to the aisle near them and picked up some chips.

“I

got hungry." He replied.

"Well, I thought someone else would do that for you and just give you a ready meal." She giggled seductively. "Anyway, would you like to grab a coffee?"
