Chapter 213 Confrontation

"Eve said, 'Let's go on a trip together once she feels better. The three of us haven't gone out to play in a long time.'"

Dylan spoke with an eager expression.

Ranita smiled and nodded. "Yeah... it has been a while since the last time we went out together, before I got married to Brendon. We all piled into one car and went to see the mountains and the ocean."

"If you don't want to go to Greece, I can buy you a house in Yrens Province for you to live in. When we have time, we can come visit you there. You said you liked it there, right?" Dylan suggested. NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

Who wouldn't love poetry and distant places?

But...

If she didn't go far away, Ranita feared that she won't be able to resist missing him.

"Forget it. Greece is also very beautiful," Ranita decisively declined Dylan's proposal, disappointing him greatly.

While Ranita ate breakfast, Dylan wandered around the apartment until he let out an exclamation from the bathroom.

"What happened?"

Dylan's face was covered in water droplets that dripped onto his clothes as he looked at Ranita speechlessly. "What's wrong with your water? It scared me."

Ranita touched her forehead apologetically as she looked at Dylan, "Sorry about that. I forgot to tell you not to turn on that faucet because it leaks."

"Go turn off the water. I'll fix it for you," Dylan replied casually.

Ranita watched Dylan fix the water pipe, smiling, "I didn't expect you to do this!"

"Don't underestimate me. I've replaced the water pipes and light bulbs at Eve's house. It's a piece of cake!"

Ranita chuckled.

After Dylan fixed the faucet, his clothes were in a mess. Ranita had to find a piece of clothing that Brendon rarely wore and handed it to him.

"It's Brendon's, he rarely wears it. If you mind, I can buy you a new one."

Dylan wasn't initially willing to wear it, but to avoid troubling Ranita to buy a new one, he took it, saying, "I'll wear it for now. I have spare clothes in my car. I'll dry clean it and bring it to you."

"Okay!" Ranita thought Brendon probably wouldn't come over soon; he had to comfort the startled Shannon.

"Also, dry your hair while you're at it."

Ranita curled up on the sofa reading a magazine when she received a call from the professor, "Ranita, have you returned from your business trip?"

Ranitia felt uneasy, sensing bad news coming. She stiffened up before answering nervously, "Yes, I'm back!"

"That's great! Are you free tonight?"

"I'm free tonight." Indeed, the next second, the professor said with a smile, "I've reserved a spot at the Green Meadow Restaurant near the school. Remember to come before 7:00!"

Ranita couldn't refuse.

The professor had been trying so hard for her.

"Okay, I'll be there on time..." Ranita hung up the phone feeling embarrassed as she heard the sound of her door opening.

She sat up and turned to see Brendon walking in with his long legs.

"What are you doing here?"

Brendon took a few steps forward, leisurely unbuttoning his shirt. Just as he was about to speak, Dylan poked his head out of the bathroom and called out, "Ranita, who's here?"

"Dylan?" Brendon's expression turned cold all of a sudden as he looked at Dylan's clothes. His eyes darkened like storm clouds.

"Brendon? What brings you here?"

One sentence ignited an inferno between them.

Brendon undid another button and stared dangerously at Dylan. "I came home. Do I need to report to you about it?"

Dylan leaned against the wall and sneered, "Home? Did you get too drunk from your candlelit dinner with Shannon last night? This is Ranita's home - what does it have to do with you anyway?"

In an instant, sparks flew everywhere.
