Chapter 1778
As Bella's voice fell, the entire room was shocked.
Bella's presence and authority made them tremble. In a daze, they nearly thought that Chairman Thompson was back!
Cameron's legs shook beneath the table, but he still slammed the table, yelling at Bella with a face red with anger.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
"Bella! Even if your father is the chairman and you are the CEO, you have no right to remove my position! Do you think the board is your playground?! You're too cocky! You need to go through a vote to dismiss me!"
His words were clearly responding to Bella's comment earlier that KS Group was not his personal bank. What a petty man!
Bella snorted. "Ha, you're right. Aren't I discussing your issue in the meeting now?"
Rodriguez and Cameron were tied together due to common interests, and he had stakes in those two restaurants. Naturally, he could not let Cameron fall so easily and took Cameron's side.
"Bella..."
"It's Ms. Thompson." Steven stared at Rodriguez sharply.
Rodriguez was taken aback and could only correct himself. "Ms. Thompson, Cameron has made significant contributions to the group over the years, and we've all seen it. Besides, he's your father's brother.
"This matter isn't that serious, and since Chairman Thompson covered the debt, it meant he didn't want to pursue it further. Moreover, if word got out, it would hurt KS Group and the Thompson family."
Upon hearing his words, Bella smiled disdainfully. "Not that serious? Then why don't you pay the $50 million for him, Mr. Rodriguez?" Rodriguez was rendered speechless.
"The reason I'm only dismissing him is because he's my father's brother. Otherwise, it would be the police telling him all this now."
The smile on Bella's lips vanished. "As for the Thompson family's reputation, none of you need to worry about it. I'm representing my father and the KS Group to clean out some trash. If word got out, anyone with a conscience would think I'm doing the right thing. They'll see that the KS Group's executives are upright and good leaders who are not afraid to do the right thing. Everyone, if we want the company to thrive in a good direction, we must get rid of the rotten apples."
The crowd fell silent.
Rodriguez's face turned green. Bella's words were essentially calling him rotten and corrupt.
"It's not up to you to remove me from my position!"
Cameron played his trump card, bringing out Wyatt again and acting shamelessly. "I want to call my brother! I want to meet him! Your words don't count!"
Steven's eyes widened angrily, and he said in a low but commanding voice, "Mr. Cameron, you are in a board meeting. You cannot cause a scene here. Besides, while Chairman Thompson is recuperating, Ms. Bella has the right to chair meetings and make key decisions for the group. Everything is done according to the rules and regulations. Do you want to challenge Chairman Thompson's decision, or are you not taking Ms. Bella seriously?"
"You're only a secretary. How dare you talk back to me?!" Cameron pointed at Steven's face viciously, revealing his true colors. Cameron looked less like a respectable and noble corporate executive; his vicious appearance was more like that of a street thug.
"An ungrateful and treacherous scumbag like you better not appear in front of my father again, lest you dirty his eyes." Bella turned her chair away, back facing the crowd, not even sparing Cameron a glance.
The highest level of contempt was total disregard.
"Who's ungrateful?! You..."
"You leaked the video of my father having an episode during the meeting, didn't you?" Bella skipped the nonsense and went straight to the point. The crowd was stunned, their gazes turning complicated.
Cameron's heart sank, and his face instantly paled. "What proof do you have to suspect me? What does it have to do with me?!"
"Back then, the people who witnessed my father having an episode are all sitting here today. You all signed a confidentiality agreement." Bella's voice was cold and intimidating. "Anyone who leaked information would have to pay billions in penalties but also be removed from the board and all positions in KS Group. Everyone here knows it. Nobody is willing to risk a year's dividend just to see my father humiliated."
