The Bratty Heiress

Chapter 26. Revenge gone wrong

The next day I was up with a new spirit. I was mad, fuming, blood boiling on the inside. I was done crying.

He’s just a man. I can find another man if he’s too busy for me than maybe I’m not all that special for him.  Right? yes… obviously. I’m always right, this is my book.

Men! Freaking men!

I was wearing my sexy work dress, long enough to be business-like. But sexy enough to make men wonder, what I was wearing underneath. Then I top it off with my sexy office heels.

“Sis, you’re off to a meeting?” Nikolai gave me a once over looking at my dressy dress, cause I usually wear my pants suit to work.

“Yeah, oh Megs… said hi by the way. I think she likes you too brother.” I said walking his way, then pushing him back to the kitchen fridge.

“But… if you ever hurt her in any way, you will die! You’re a deadman walking already.” I said repeating his previous threat to the nerd, who I previously thought was someone I…

Crap! get your head in the game woman!

I blinked then quickly smirk while pointing my finger to his chest. My heels made me tall enough, to be able to poke his shirt.

He was still shocked about Megan, which made him forget about my attire. Minutes later I got in the car, then telling Demyan to stop for coffee at Mable’s coffee place.

“Woman you are hot!” my favorite gay barista greeted me from behind the counter.

“Doug, you should be working in a beauty parlor,” I said smiling wide at him. His cheerful attitude really lights up the coffee shop.

“Sshh… I’m here for the free coffee, and there’s so little stuff I could do to my hair. And I’ve exhausted them all.” I finally laughed at him, while taking my coffee order and doughnuts then said my goodbye.

It only took ten minutes until I arrived at the office building. I was walking through the lobby when I bumped into the sexy stranger again.

“Well… well… look who’s looking sharp today. Important meeting? or a sexy lunch date?” He asked after he holds the elevator door for me.

Him will do.

“I don’t know… but I’ll find out when I’ll wait for you at Silvio’s across the building for lunch,” I said the words exactly seconds before the elevator doors open for me.

I could hear him laugh behind me, making me grin and sway my hips sexily. I could feel him watching me until the elevator door closed. Okay Olga, you still got it.

Duuh… obviously.

“Megs, are you decent? okay ready or not… I’m not closing my eyes here.”

She was actually taking her break in between meetings, I was told by her eye-candy assistant. Damn, I would do him if he wasn’t too damn good at his work. Megan had already made me swear not to lay even a single finger on him. Saying that I would scare the only capable assistant that she has.

Not even a finger… damn… possessive much?

I knocked and enter her office only to see her typing furiously like a good boss lady, well… up until she looked at me while tilting her head to one side.

Mmm… kay…

“Wow, and what do I owe the pleasure to this dressy dress of yours to? I thought we’re meeting for lunch? Wait… don’t tell me it’s that sexy nerd again? Damn Olga, what the hell happened now?”

Ok, bestie… you know me too damn well. Points for you.

“Well… good morning to you too, my trustee sidekick,” I said parking my sexy ass on her sofa, then set up our coffee and doughnuts on her coffee table after setting aside my satchel and laptop bag.

Pheww… seriously, I should bring a shopping cart to work and make my life easier.

Megan eventually joined me on the sofa and take her cup. Anddd…. wait for my explanation, you know some people really have the patience for me. This is why I love her to death.

“Olga, spill.”

“Luka? Yeah… I’m not sure about him. You know… how he said the L word and how I devirginized him, and that I’m his and he’s mine? Well, as soon as there’s a mob thing he was gone like a blip…”

I haven’t finished talking when Megan interrupted me.

“Woahhh…. back up to the virgin thing? Is that even a word? Wait, that’s not my question… he was a virgin? Damn! You lucky woman!”

“Devirginized… mmm… I don’t know. It sounds englishy enough for me… what? And… yup a virgin. But, I’m not feeling lucky right now.” I slumped to the sofa and sighed exaggeratedly.

What? Look… I don’t do drama. But he was making me feel like shit, and I was not liking it. So, I might exaggerate some parts.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Look, it’s a mob thing. You spend your whole teen life to today around these people. They might ignore you from time to time, you know this. But they would die for you. No doubt about it.” Megan said defending my mob family.

“Megs you’re no mob. But I’d die for you too.”

“Awww… I’m flattered truly. So? What are you going to with the nerd?” She asked dipping her doughnut into her coffee. I sit straighter and imitate her, then took a big bite of my doughnut.

“Youmph knowgh I meft a cuffte guyf on the elevafvaftor anfd…”

“Olga… pause. Drink. Then talk.”

I rolled my eyes at her, but did as she tells me to do.

“I met this cute guy yesterday. And again just now, so I told him I’ll meet him for lunch.”

I shrugged and start powering up my laptop.

“Oh Olga, why do you keep doing this to yourself. Why not try and wait for him? You did came after him and brought him out of hiding. But now that you got him, you’re truly going to treat him this way?”

Damn… every time. She’s so good at this stuff, she’s like my free personal shrink. Her words always hit the spot. Let me tell you, every girl should have her very own Megan.

“I don’t know Megs, I keep on having this kind of luck with men and he’s no different.”

“Just think about it, be patient. I know this is just me talking but hey… I might be right.” She said taking her coffee to her desk and start typing on her computer, leaving me to my own work.

The morning went by easily until noon arrived. I was checking my phone several times for his messages but none came.

Disappointment, and future regrets looming over my thoughts. I didn’t manage to finish all of my work as I had planned before.

Megan had left me for an impromptu business meeting, making me guilty for my own bad decision as always.

I know I was wrong, I know I shouldn’t do it but the childish part of me wanted the fucking attention. So I put my foot in front of another and walk across the street to Silvio’s for lunch.

Okay… you. Yes you, stop judging me. This is how the story goes. Just pray for me… and read on…

I was about to step into the restaurant when the guy called me out.

“Hey, you…” he gave me his sexy smirk.

I smiled at him, and suddenly have a bad feeling about all of this and I was right.

Crap! Not good!

That was the first thought that came to my mind when he came up closer to me and show me his gun. It was hidden under his expensive suit. My eyes went wild quickly and were about to run when he wrapped his arm around me as a lover would. But then he whispered his words scaring me shitless.

“My men… are on your three and nine o’clock. It’s best if you come with me without the struggle yeah? Or they will start shooting people randomly for a diversion, while I take your sexy ass to my car.”

My fucking fault!

I eventually nodded and walked with him to his car.

My fucking fault…
