Bryan sat on the sofa in his bedroom while he watched Lora pack her things into a luggage..

“Can’t we talk this out Lora?”

Lora tied her hair which was falling on her face into a ponytail..

“Lora.. I mentioned it earlier to you about how my love life works.. you can’t expect me to keep only one woman”

“Why is he here?” Chloe whispered..

Arya ignored Chloe’s question and walked elegantly to Martin..

Martin extended his hand for a handshake which Arya accepted without any hesitation..

“What brings you here Martin?”

Martin leaned forward to her ear “For a meal I guess”

Arya smiled and led him to an empty table “thank goodness you came here, please have your seat”

Martin sat down and Arya followed suite “I wanted to say thank you all these while, but you know? things went crazy last time”

“Oh it’s nothing”

“Of course not! you and Kyle helped me big time, my restaurant would have been shut down by now if not for you.. anyway I owe you one”

Martin looked around the restaurant till his gaze remained fixated on Chloe who was giving him a suspicious look..

“Okay! I think I might have offended your friend in my previous life”

Arya chuckled and waved it off, that’s how Chloe behaves whenever she’s with a guy..

“Oh that! ignore her, she’s just so protective of me you see?”

Arya stopped a waiter who was passing her table at that time..

“Please take his orders, he’s family so treat him well” she said softly to the waiter who nodded in understanding..

Arya turned to Martin and touched his hand resting on the table briefly..

“enjoy your meal, It appears I’m needed in the kitchen now..”

Martin nodded to her and watched her back leaving till she vanished behind the counter..

Kyle massaged his temples when he read the report on his desk..

“How is this even possible?!”

“Boss, this is all Mr Dennis’s fault, he took all the funds the investors invested in the project”

Kyle breathed out in anger, he had endured all this for quite a while now because of his grandfather but now his uncle has crossed all the limits..

“Cancel my schedules for today.. it’s high time I make a move!”

Kyle strode out of his office and came out of his company..

Immediately his guards saw him approaching the car hurriedly they opened the door of the black Rolls Royce for him..

Rita’s heart leaped out of her chest when she saw who was at the door..

She forced a smile and stepped back for the towering figure to step in..

Kyle’s gaze never left her’s the moment he laid his eyes on her..

She was the real mastermind behind every plan his uncle makes.

“Where is your husband?!”

Rita swallowed hard and pointed upward “He is currently in a meeting.. please have your seat and wait till he’s done”

Kyle nodded to his guards and they all hurriedly walked up the stairs..

Kyle rested his blood shot eyes on her and took a step forward..

“One more word and I’ll make sure you don’t live the next minute!”

Cold sweat broke on her forehead, she clamped her mouth shut with her palm..

Few minutes later, a little commotion was heard as Kyle’s guards returned with Dennis who was struggling with them..

Kyle who was seated with one leg ontop the other, raised his head when his uncle crashed before his feet..

Dennis groaned out in pain, he attempted to sit up but was pushed back down by one of Kyle’s men..

Dennis lips touched the tip of Kyle’s shoe and he couldn’t help but hate the boy even more..

“don’t you think you’re biting more than you can chew son?!” Dennis fired..

He helped himself sit up on the hard marbled floor..

Kyle smirked “It happens that you had the nerves to steal funds from my company’s project”

Rita whimpered when one of the guards pushed her down next to her husband..

“That project was supposed to be mine from the start! but father made a huge mistake by handing it over to you!”

Kyle rose up to his feet “I think he needs to know who the real boss is.. why don’t you have some fun time with my guards, they are quite friendly too” Kyle chuckled and left the living room.

No sooner has he gone when the sound of cries and pleas reached his ears..

He smiled in content and got into his car that was already waiting for him..

Bryan spotted Chloe leaving the restaurant, he started his car at a slow pace and blocked her path..

“What the….?!”

He hurriedly got out of his car and grabbed her arm..

“you?! let me go!”

He ignored her screams and pushed her into his car..

“What are you doing? let me out!”

Bryan got in and drove off..

Arya gasped at the sight she just witnessed “What just happened?”

“Ma’am is there anything you’d like me to do?”

Arya turned to Sam and pointed out of the see through glass doors..

“Is something going on between Mr Alexander and Chloe?”

Sam nodded “Yeah, Mr Alexander is interested in Chloe”

Arya gave him a puzzled look, now that was a weird thing to say..

“I’ll take my leave now.. I promised to pick Ray up from school today”

Arya waved at the lady who she recognized to be Ray’s class teacher..

“Hello miss, I’m here for Ray.. I’m sorry I’m a little bit late”

The lady gave Arya a skeptical look “you are?”

“His mum” Arya replied..

“I’m sorry miss, Ray’s mum picked him up a few minutes ago”

Arya’s eyes widened “What?!”

Ray’s mum? well who could that be?

“You let a total stranger leave with my kid?!”

“No miss.. we are actually familiar with her, I’ve never seen you before”

Arya picked her phone out of her purse and walked hurriedly back to the car..

“Hey! umm can I get your boss’s contact info? I need to speak to him urgently..”

The driver nodded and handed his phone over to Arya..

Arya returned his phone after she was done with it..

“Come on pick up!”

Kyle stared at the unfamiliar number on his phone..

He flipped his phone over and returned his gaze back to his laptop..

However the vibration continued, he angrily picked it up and raised it to his ear..

“Speak!”

Arya sighed in relief when he finally responded “What took you so long to answer a phone call?!”

Kyle gritted his teeth in annoyance when he recognized the owner of the voice, he was about to drop the call when he heard the next word from her…

“I just spoke with Ray’s teacher and she said Ray’s mum picked him up a while ago..”

Kyle stood up “What?”

“Yeah right?! I asked the same thing too!”

Kyle shut down his laptop and hurried out of the door..

“Boss the business partners are still waiting for you”

Kyle turned swiftly to his assistant “Didn’t I ask you to clear all my schedules today?!”

“Well you did.. but your grandfather wanted this meeting to hold today itself..

“Forget all that! send the news about Ray’s disappearance to the media!”

The assistant stopped in his tracks “Again?” he whispered..

That kid has disappeared four times in one month…
