The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 1735

"Did you just yell at me?" Angelina's eyes widened, tears falling heavily as she looked at Alaric with disbelief and deep sorrow.

Her son, whom she had cherished and raised with all her love, the son for whom she had made countless plans and sacrifices, had raised his voice against her! Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

Angelina felt as if her heart was shattered, her years of hard work and dedication crushed to dust, leaving her in profound agony.

With tears streaming down her face, Angelina nodded, "Oh, so you're all grown up now, spreading your wings, even learning to yell at your own mother, Alaric. How could you treat me like this?"

Realizing that his words had genuinely hurt Angelina, Alaric blinked, moving closer to try and explain, "Mom, I—"

"Don't call me mom!" Angelina choked up. "I don't have a son like you!"

"What's going on here? What's all this shouting about?" Remington Falconer entered the room, supported by Beatrice, and asked sternly.

Seeing Angelina in tears and Alaric looking defeated, Remington sighed and said to Angelina, "Alaric's finally home for a few days, and this is how you greet him? Can't you sit down and talk things out without making a scene? He's your only son; do you really want to cut ties with him?"

Tears filled Angelina's eyes, her face a picture of grievance, "Dad, he's becoming unbearable, acting on his own without consulting us. He's being led astray by that woman..."

"Mom, I've told you, stop bad-mouthing Hertha," Alaric, initially feeling guilty for raising his voice at Angelina, couldn't bear hearing his mother slander Hertha.

"You..." Angelina was furious, about to retort.

Remington, with a stern voice, intervened, "Enough, everyone, come sit down at the coffee table and let's sort this out calmly."

Guided by Beatrice, Remington sat on the couch, and Alaric followed suit.

Angelina, feeling lost, clenched the family register in her hand.

"Angelina, what are you standing around for? Come sit," Beatrice said.

Angelina snapped back to reality, intending to pass the family register to Iris to put it away.

Catching the gesture, Beatrice said, "Bring that here too. The argument was about that document, wasn't it?"

With Iris pausing to see what Angelina would do, Angelina reluctantly took back the register, told Iris to carry on with other tasks, and sat down by the coffee table.

Handing the register to Beatrice, Angelina took the initiative, "Mom, this boy, he's learned to be sneaky, even stealing from his own family, taking the family register with who knows what intentions! You know, if someone were to misuse it for illegal purposes under our names, that would be a disaster."

"Mom, you know I took the family register to marry Hertha, and here you are, making up stories! Do you really see me as someone who would break the law?" Alaric couldn't stand his mother's twisting of the truth.

"Alaric, what did you just say? You're marrying Hertha? I thought she took the settlement to cut all ties with you?" Remington was astonished.
