The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 1676

Alaric didn't pick up the phone right away. He shot Hertha a glance with those stunning, fox-like eyes of his, noticing her wide eyes fixed on him, clearly not in the mood to make small talk.

He could tell she wanted to talk about her two kids.

Internally, he felt a wave of irritation wash over him, instinctively dreading the conversation.

She had kids with another man, and now she wanted to discuss her past with that guy in front of him? Talk about a stab in the heart.

Seeing the caller ID flash as Georgia, any other day he would've hit 'decline' without a second thought, not wanting to hear anything Georgia had to say.

But now, to avoid having to listen to Hertha boast about her exploits with another man, he reluctantly answered the call.

"What's up?"

"Alaric, could you open the door, please? Aunt Angie and I are at your doorstep."This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Georgia's voice was soft through the phone, a deliberate attempt to suppress her usual haughtiness, pretending to be gentle with Alaric.

Alaric's brow furrowed. Georgia and Angelina were at his doorstep? Had they been snooping around to find where he lived?

They were like bad pennies, always turning up.

He barely had a moment's peace.

He was about to hang up, but catching sight of Hertha's expectant gaze, those round, puppy-dog eyes waiting on him, it was clear she was eager to share about her children with him.

He was baffled. How could Hertha have the nerve to talk to him about her kids with another man?

It was as if she didn't care about his feelings at all!

The more Alaric thought about it, the angrier he got. To spite Hertha, he responded, "Hold on, I'll be right there."

With that, he stood up to open the door.

"Alaric, have you had dinner yet?" Georgia greeted him with a smile, her face lighting up.

The moment Angelina laid eyes on

Alaric, her expression turned to one of concern, and she said with a touch of pity, "Alaric, you've lost so much weight. Are you alright?"

Alaric brushed off their pleasantries and turned to walk inside. Georgia, arm in arm with Angelina, followed him in.

Georgia's smile froze the moment she Hertha sitting on the couch,

Angelina gave her hand a reassuring pat, signaling her to stay calm.

Georgia clenched her teeth, fighting to keep her anger in check.

Hertha turned around, spotting Georgia and Angelina. She stood up, knowing well that these two were not to be underestimated.

Just as she was about to greet

them, Angelina said with a sarcastic tone, "Seems like two million doesn't last long these days. Three years and it's gone. The quickest way to make money is by clinging to men. What did they call such women back in the day?"

Georgia chimed in, "Back in the day, there was a place for women looking to make a quick buck off men. It was called a brothel."

Their words were a blatant insult!
