One-Hundred Forty-Five: Preparing for the Big Day
Mykayla
It seems like I have been planning for this day for years. In reality, it has only been a year. I am getting
nervous. In 1 week, I will be marrying the man of my dreams. I never thought this would happen. After
everything with my parents and thinking they died in the house fire, I thought my life was on hold until I
got those two girls through school and ensured their lives were perfect. That’s what they deserved after
everything. Looking back now, I can’t believe I had almost talked myself out of moving here. I am glad
Dimitri found me this job. If it wasn’t for him, I have no idea where we would have ended up. I would
never have met Dustin, and my life would be drastically different. I am not sure who was looking out for
me, but thank whoever it was.
“What’s running through that beautiful mind of yours?” Dustin asks.
“I was just thinking about how different my life would have been if I had not moved here. This wasn’t my
first choice. Thankfully Dimitri got me the job in your company. I was
resigned to the fact that until the girls were old enough that I was going to be single.” I tell him.
“Well, then, we owe Dimitri a big thank you.” He says, smiling. NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.
I shot him a big smile and returned to the task. I was looking over last-minute stuff. Everything is pretty
much done. The only thing that still needed to be done was finding bridesmaid dresses. All the ones
that we had looked at were hideous. I know this shouldn’t have waited until the last minute, but we
couldn’t find the right ones. Dustin had chosen beige, red, and cream as our colours. I was amazed
when he chose those three colours. They were perfect and looked gorgeous together. My bridesmaids
included: Natalya as my maid of honour, Mykenzie, Kylani, and Nymrya. I was afraid the other girls
would be mad, but they weren’t. I was glad when they told me they weren’t mad.
“I have solved your dress issue,” Athena tells us.
I jump a bit in my seat. Dustin throws her a glare. I look at her. Seriously, she has a solution? That
would make me happy. She tells me to get the other four and meet her in Jailynn’s room. I told them ok
and let her know that we would be there in ten minutes. I sent out a group text to them, letting them
know to meet in Jailynn’s room. They told me they would be there. I wonder what she has for us?
When I get to the room, Athena is there as well as Hera and Persephone. The other four arrive. I see
Kylani look around like something is wrong. Hera doesn’t visit much. I have only seen her a couple of
times.
“Ok ladies I have fixed the dress dilemma,” Athena announces.
Mykenzie rolls her eyes at this. I don’t think she believes Athena. Athena proceeds to roll out four
dresses on a rack. They are in protective bags to keep them from getting ruined. She unzips one bag
and pulls out the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. They are full-length backless halter dresses.
They are beige in colour. Athena even has shoes that match perfectly. She hands one to each of them
and tells them to go change. I am in awe when they walk out in these dresses. They are perfect.
I think the girls know it as well. The dresses have slits all the way up to mid-thigh. Each dress fits each
girl perfectly, just like it was made just for them.
“They are perfect,” I whisper.
“I actually like this one,” Kylani admits.
Athena smiles at that. Those two are not easy to please when it comes to dresses. They really don’t
like to wear them. They are definitely more jeans/shorts and t-shirt kind of girls. Hera is standing there
looking proud.
“You four look beautiful,” Persephone says.
“I am just glad we finally found dresses,” I say.
I am; I was totally stressed about this. Now that this is figured out, it should be smooth sailing from here
on out. Now it’s just a countdown to the big day.
Dustin
I was glad to hear they finally resolved the bridesmaid dress situation. I know Mykayla was stressed
about that. This whole process has been stressful for both of us. Thankfully my parents have been
helping with it. I think that took a lot of the stress off of Mykayla. I know her side of the family has been
helping as well. I am sure I owe Athena something big since she found those dresses. I have not seen
them, but from my understanding, the girls look unreal in them. All of the tuxes are here. I have to say
the three of us look good in our suits. Kaleb is my best man; I have Nate and Brandon as my
groomsman.
“Are you freaking out yet?” Brandon asks.
“No actually I just want to get this over with,” I tell him.
“Are the girls throwing Mykayla a bachelorette party?” Kaleb asks.
“Yes, but that is all I know,” I answer.
“You’re better off now knowing if my sisters are involved.”Chris comments.
“That does not make me feel good about the idea,” I tell him.
“Sorry.” He replies.
Why do I have a weird feeling about this? Cause I know what kind of weird shit can happen when those
two are involved. I know Natalya has something planned. I am sure Mykenzie and Kylani threw some
ideas out. I know Kaleb has planned my bachelor party. We are bar hopping. I have no idea what else
he has planned. He won’t tell me. I tried to use my alpha tone, but it didn’t work.
“So when are we having a bachelor party?” Seth asks.
“The night before. Don’t worry; you will make it to your wedding.” Chris says with a smirk.
I really don’t want to be hungover at my wedding. I can guarantee Mykayla will not be happy about that.
I know that Kaleb has made reservations at a few places just because we have so many guys going
with us.
“I wonder if Mykayla’s bachelorette party will be here in town?” Donte asks.
“None of the girls are saying a thing. If I had to guess I would say no,” Chris says.
Shit, I never thought of that. I wonder where they’d throw the party? It literally could be anywhere, with
Mykenzie and Kylani being involved. I wonder if there is any way to find out. Probably not.
Those women can keep a secret better than anyone I have ever known. Examples one and two
dragons and werecats. I am slightly worried now. I know that they won’t do anything dangerous but who
knows what they have planned.
“All I ask is that I am not hungover at my wedding,” I tell them.
“Don’t worry, we got you,” Tarlek says.
I am sure they have some weird power to make hangovers disappear. That or they will ask Imyra to fix
shit before the wedding. I don’t care as long as I am good and everything goes off without disaster. I
am sure that Mykenzie and Kylani are not going to let anything ruin our big day. This week can’t go fast
enough.
