Star’s POV

The last five days have been hectic to say the least, we have had another seven births, but after working with the girls on controlling their powers, we managed not to have a repeat of the birth of Starlight Lewis, thank the goddess.

Only Penny and Franlie are left to have their pups and they are both getting restless.

Ace has managed to contact the packs of Anya and Hanna. Both of their families arrived a few days ago. Unfortunately, their Alphas, who are friends, discussed it and they decided they were not willing to risk their packs, by welcoming the girls back.

Their excuse is that when the girls were kidnapped, the attack left many dead and the Alpha’s have to consider the safety of their people.

Ace was not happy about this and let rip at the Alpha’s, both of which had petitioned us for alliances. Let’s just say Ace told them it would never happen and they were on their own.

We have welcomed their families into our pack without hesitation. Each family has been given a cottage, but they are in different parts of the pack.

As all of the other women are staying as well, we have decided to build them their own estate. There is a nice plot of land about 5 minutes from the pack house, so our amazing contractor Steve, on top of building our home by the lake, has broken ground on the estate, and we will soon have ten new cottages. The girls have had a lot of input in the design and have already chosen the decor and furnishings.

They had slowly started to trust the men of our pack. My husbands and I have been taking daily walks with them around the pack, and they are all becoming stronger and are confident in their safety.

As for me, morning sickness is a b***h, but as my three mates have made it clear that they want to share every step of my pregnancy with me, I have made sure to puke on each of them at least once, like they say sharing is caring.

Today is Suzie’s birthday and we have planned a small celebration in the training grounds. Tents have been erected, the decorators and the kitchen team have been working overtime.

Blair had to return to Scotland and deal with a few issues, but he was, at this very moment, waiting for a flight to Exeter. There was no way he was going to miss his mate’s 18th birthday.

Suzie wanted to believe him, but after the whole Kia thing she is scared of being disappointed. Before he left, he made sure that she knew that as far as he was concerned she was perfect, and whatever happened with Kia was not an issue with him, he even told her he had no right to hold anything against her as he had not kept himself pure for her.

I glance at my watch, s**t it’s 12:50, we are having a big lunch today, as food will be served late at the party for those going, so I need to put some clothes on and move my a*s. I linked the boys, “my sexy mates, are you ready for lunch?”

“Yeah Tink, we are just about done. Do you want me to come and get you?”

“No baby, I think I can manage to meet you at your office. See you in a few. Love you”

I shove my feet into my shoes and leave the suite, and head to the office. I meet the boys at the top of the stairs and Lexi picks me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist and let him carry me to the dining room.

My best friends are already sitting at our table and Lex puts me in the chair next to Suzie. We made her breakfast this morning and gave her presents to her then, apart from a surprise I have for her upstairs.

She leans to me, “are you sure he is going to be here tonight?” Lex answers before I could, “He text me 10 minutes ago, his flight is at 5pm, so barring delays he will be here by 7:30 at the latest, so don’t worry, sweet cheeks.”

She breathes out a sigh of relief and I look over at Max, “are you bringing a date tonight, Max?” grinning, she just shrugs, “nah, but if there are people invited that I might like to hang with, then hay ho, what do ya know.”

Olly grins at her, “You are such a slut dude, let’s hope your mate is one of the people you like to hang with.”

She shrugs, “to be honest, I’m not looking forward to meeting my mate. Well, that is not true, I am looking forward to it, but I am going to get either a boy or a girl, so either way I am going to be a little disappointed, you know?”

I sighed and gave her a sad look, “I am sure the moon goddess will bring you happiness honey. Just don’t give up hope, okay?”

Nodding, she returns my smile, but it doesn’t quite meet her eyes. Sophia leans over, Luna is right Maxy, the goddess will give you what you need in a mate, trust in her,”

After lunch, I dragged the girls to our suite. The boys are getting dressed in one of the spare rooms, so we can get ready in our bedroom,

I went straight to the closet and took out my surprise gift for Suzie. When I returned to the bedroom and shouted, “SURPRISE!!!” Suzie turned around and eyed the garment bag in my hands.

“What’s that?” Grinning at her, “it’s your secret birthday gift from me and the Alpha’s, you are going to feel your mate bond tonight, so we wanted you to feel ridiculously gorgeous and knock my handsome cousin on his very fine a*s.”

She stands in front of me and slowly unzips the garment bag, she gasps as the midnight blue dress comes into view, “Star? is this….this is the dress we saw last month, you brought it for me?”

Max comes over and takes the dress from the bag and hangs it by the mirror, “come on princess time for us to make you even more beautiful.”

She pushed her into the bathroom where Natalia had run her a bibble bath and helped her get undressed and into the bath, “f**k Star, I am moving in, this bath is worth sharing a bed with your three apes.”

“Hey, be careful what you say about the father of my children, the pups could hear you. And I am sure Blair has an amazing tub in his suite at home.”

While she is soaking, we get our hair and make-up done and get dressed. I choose a red velvet halterneck that falls to mid thigh, The fabric clings to my body, showing off the tiny bump that only became viable yesterday.

I paired it with a pair of low heels, the jewelry the boys brought for my birthday. There was a knock on the bedroom door and when I opened it, I found my dad standing there.

“What’s up daddy? are you okay?” his smile lit up the room when I called him daddy, “Blair left something with me and asked me to deliver it to Suzie so she could wear it tonight. Can I leave it with you?”

“Of course, I take the box from him and he gives me a k**s, “have fun tonight baby-girl, but not too much, my grandbabies need their mama to get lots of rest,” he gives my belly a gentle rub and leaves.

Between them, the older Ravenwoods and the Danvers are sharing babysitting duties so that our new girls can join the party. It will be the first time they are meeting everyone and our friends know to keep a distance and let the girls come to them, they also only have to say the word and our email warriors will get them out of their as quickly as possible.

I am actually expecting the girls any minute. I closed the bedroom door and saw Suzie walking out of the bathroom in a towel, “Your mate left you a birthday gift.”

I handed her the box and she tore into it, under the wrapping. There is a large black satin box, she gently opens it and gasps. Lying on the satin is a white gold and diamond choker and bracelet set.

“Oh my goddess, I have never seen anything so beautiful……I guess he really is my mate, huh?” Grinning at her, I helped her put on the necklace and bracket, and kissed her cheek.

Max pushed her into a chair, “time for the magic to happen,” there is another knock at the door. What is this Piccadilly station? I pull the door open and find Ash standing there with a tray holding a bottle of champagne, a bottle of alcohol-free sparkling wine, 5 fluted glasses and a bowl of strawberries.

“We thought you ladies could use some refreshments.”

“f**k I love you Ashton Ravenwood,” he grinned and pressed a k**s to my lips, “see you later love.” I closed the door and poured everyone a drink, then we started on Suzie’s hair and make-up.

An hour and a half later, she stepped into her dress, and I zipped her in. The dress is strapless, with crystals decorating the bodice, the skirt falls to the floor, with a slit running all the way up to the top of her left thigh.

She slips on the matching midnight blue stroppy heels and we step back to take the vision before us. Max breaks the silence, “Suzie, you are glorious, that man is going to drop at your feet.”

She stands in front of the mirror and stares at her reflection, “Wow guys, I look amazing, thank you all so much.”

We head out of the bedroom to the lounge where my mates are waiting with their Beta, Gamma and our warriors. the boys whistle at Suzie as she twirls for them.

Ace pours everyone a drink and we wait for Jess and the girls to arrive. I notice Aiden is very quiet and fidgeting in the corner. I linked him, “Aid what’s up? You look like your about to throw up.”

“I don’t know Talon has been acting odd for the last week, but tonight he is driving me crazy, but he won’t tell me what’s wrong.” I gave him a smile, “perhaps he is sensing something big is about to happen.”

“Thats what I thought, I was worried that we would f**k everything up and find out Suzie was our mate, not that I would mind, she if f*****g gorgeous, but it’s not that.”

“I am sure we will find out soon enough dude, relax and enjoy yourself, okay?” his response is interrupted by the door bell. Lexi runs to answer it.

Jess is frozen in place, her eyes are fixed on Aiden, then she bursts into tears and runs down the hall, I am right on her tail and lead her to our room, closing the door behind us.

I pull her into my arms and her sobs rack her body. I rubbed her back and purred into her hair, “it’s going to be okay baby, I promise you it will all be okay.”

She sniffed and sat on the bed, “how can it all be okay? I yearned for my mate, I still do, but I have been used and now have a baby by another man. He will not want me and I don’t think I can survive being rejected.”

Max pops her head around the door, before being pulled back to the hall, then I hear Aiden’s voice, “tell her that I will wait as long as she needs, that we will not pressure her in anyway, we just want her to give us a chance, Max please, ask her not to reject us till she has given us a chance.”

“I can’t tell her anything if you don’t let go of me and, for f***s sake, get off your knees, she can’t even see you, you’re a f*****g warrior, so stop acting like a little bitch.”

Jess growls when she hears Max shouting at Aiden. I grab her hands, “see he is not going to reject you, he knows what you have been through and he knows about Starlight, and he wants you.”

She nodded and gave me a small smile, “can you let him in, but can you stay while we talk please?” I nodded and walked to the door, “Aiden, Jess wants you to come in, but I will stay while you talk. Is that okay?”

“Of course, Luna, thank you so much.” He entered the room and his eyes went straight to Jess. He smiles at her “Hi, my name is Aiden. I’m sorry I made you cry. I promise to try and make sure you never cry again because of me.”

She shakes her head, “you didn’t make me cry, I’m just a stupid, weak mess.” he gets on his knees in front of her, “are you kidding me, you are so strong, after everything you have been through, the fact that you are here standing tall, being an amazing mother to our pup, you are a goddess.”

Her head shoots up, “our pup?” he bows his head, “well yeah, if you accept me then Starlight will be ours, and hopefully we will give her some sibling eventually, but there is no rush, I will wait for you forever.”

She leaps off the bed and wraps her arms around his neck, burying her face in his neck. He freezes for a second before wrapping his own arms around her.

I heard him whisper in her ear, “I promise I will protect you with my life, baby, I will never let anyone hurt you again.”

I silently leave the room, but leave the door open and stay in the hall, just in case they need me, but I think they will be just fine.
