The Alphas And The Orphan

Star’s POV

I awake lying on the grass, it takes a moment for my brain to realize I am not in my bed. I slowly sit up and take in my surroundings. I am at the edge of a forest, there is a gorgeous lake in front of me.

I hear yipping to my left and turned to see about twenty tiny wolf pups, leaping and tumbling with each other, I can’t stop the smile on my face at the sight, my hand instinctively rubs my baby bump.

I looked back at the lake and saw a woman sitting on a log. She smiled at me and beckoned me to her. Pushing myself to my feet, I walked over.

She pats the log beside her and I take a seat.

“Hello my child, I have been wanting to meet you properly for a while.”

I gaze at her beautiful face, “moon goddess?” I whisper, she chuckles, “you can call me Selene, I am so proud of you Star, you have taken everything life has thrown at you and become so strong.”

I bow my head, as she continues, “I have something I need to talk to you about, and a favor to ask. One of my children has asked for my help, he has spent a few weeks with me.”

I raised my eyes to her, “I will help anyway I can, my goddess.” She grinned at me.

“The wolf in question is the Wolf of Jax Miller. He has requested my help in return for handing Jax to you. Trent has been treated very badly by both Jax and his brother Barton.”

My eyes go wide at the mention of the Miller brothers, but before I can say anything, she cuts me off.

“Trent has spent his whole life with Jax, fighting to keep him on the right path, even trying to get him to renounce his claim to the pack and leave his family behind, but Jax is a coward who craves power.

When Trent became a problem and tried to stop Jax and Barton, they drugged him with Wolfsbain. He has spent most of his life subdued while being forced to watch his human rape and murder.”

There are tears in her eyes, and she seems lost for a moment, but she straightens her shoulders and turns to look at the pups playing. “I have raised every single pup. I remember when Trent was first born, and like all powerful wolves, he was born to a powerful wolf.”

She turns to her right and smiles, I follow her gaze and see Saffron running towards us, I leap to my feet and Saffy raps her paws around me in a hug.

Selene strokes Saffron’s head, “Saffron has lived many lives, building her strength to be ready for you, Star. She has had many pups and one of them is Trent. They have been separated for many lifetimes, but now I think it is time they were together.

Trent has asked to end his life. Normally, when a human goes bad, the wolf is corrupted as well, and neither are allowed to be reborn, but in the case of Trent, his soul is still pure.”

Saffy nuzzles her hand, “I have agreed to allow Trent another chance, as an Alpha, and this brings me to my favor. I would like to give Trent to one of your children. He will not remember his time with Jax and he will have a new identity, but I can’t do this without your permission.”

I looked at Saffy, asking her with my eyes what I should do. She licks my face and I hear her in my head, “Please Star, give my pup a chance, he is not at fault.”

I nodded, turning back to Selene, “I agree, my goddess, he deserves another chance.” and Saffy and I can make sure he is loved.” Selene squeals and hugs me tight.

“Thank you my little star, I am so proud of the woman you have become. Now listen carefully, we do not have much time. Trent will arrive in human form and give himself up. You must rush to get there as I know what his human has done and I am afraid he will be hurt because of your guards’ misunderstanding, especially the one mated to one of your special she-wolves.”

s**t she is right. Aiden and Olly are on border duty tonight. I can’t let them injure Trent, “I need to get back now, Aiden will kill him and I can’t blame him for it, after what Jess and the others have gone through.”

Selene nodded, “I wish we had more time together, and I hope we will see each other again soon, but right now its time to wake up. Remember I love you both my children.”

I sit up in bed, looking around as I try to get my bearings, my mates all jump up at my sudden movement, I jump from the bed and quickly pull on some clothes.

“Tink what the f**k is going on?”

I look at my three men, “I don’t have time to explain, the moon goddess spoke to me, and I need you to trust me. What is about to happen will confuse you, but you have to follow my lead and I will explain everything.”

Lex pulls on his sweat pants, “. Okay baby, we will follow you anywhere, I promise we will let you lead us.” The other two nod as they pull on trousers, goddess I love these men.

I ran out of the suite, with my three Alphas hot on my heels. I had to get there in time. as I turn a corner, the border comes in to view, but what made my heart stop was the sight of Olly and Aiden raising their batons, ready to beat the man kneeling on the floor. I scream at the top of my lungs, as I force my legs to go faster.

“STOP, I AM EXPECTING HIM. MILLERS WOLF IS INNOCENT. DO NOT TOUCH HIM.” I see our friends freeze, their batons still raised as they turned towards me in shock.

My eyes never leave Trent. He bows so low his head nearly touches the floor. I looked at our warriors. “Olly, Aiden, it’s okay, I was told in a dream that Jax Miller’s wolf, Trent, was going to take control and bring Jax to us. He is holding Jax prisoner inside his mind and he will release him to our custody, but first I need to talk to Trent.”

Walking to Trent, I tilted his head so he looked up at me, “Hello Trent, places follow me. I am afraid we will have to take you to our prison, for the safety of our pack and the women that your human kidnapped, but we will get you some food and something to drink, and we can have a chat before you leave us, okay?”ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

He bows his head to me, “. You are very kind my queen, and I would have it no other way. My human needs to be held and interrogated. There is much he can tell you.”

I motioned for the guards to help him to his feet and asked them to follow me and the Alphas. We lead the way to the prison and place Trent into a cell.

I turned to Tren and said quietly, “Rest, I will send food and water for you, I need to talk to my mates for a moment and we will be back.”

I leave the cells and head to the office, asking a guard to arrange for food to be brought for the wolf. As we left, I heard a whispered “Thank you mother.” I sent the same prayer to Selene, that was way too close.

When we reach the office, Aiden is pacing back and forth. I can feel the anger radiating off him, “Aid, I know you are angry at me, but there is a reason for me protecting him.”

Stopping in front of me he smears at me, “I thought Jess was your friend, how can you give that piece of s**t the time of day, you know what they did to her.”

My mates growl at him, but I hold my hands upto them, keeping them back with a wall of wind. Once the wall is in place, I cup Aiden’s cheeks.

“Please trust me, my friend, believe me. If that was Jax down in the cells, I would never have stopped you. In fact, I would have joined you in kicking the s**t out of him, but that is his wolf, Trent. They had hurt him so badly he asked the goddess for help to bring them to justice. Will you please take a seat and I will tell you everything I know.”

Aiden covers my hands with his and leans his forehead on mine, “I am sorry my Luna, I know you have Jess and the other women’s best interest at heart. I am sorry I let my emotions get the better of me.”

We all take a seat and Olly hands me a cup of ginger tea. I smiled at him in thanks.

“Okay, last night the moon goddess visited me in my dreams…………..” I told the five men in front of me everything that the moon goddess told me, including the fact that Trent is Saffron’s pup, and the favor that the moon goddess asked me and my answer.

Saffy pushed forward and told them about Trent and the lives he had lived before, and the goodness inside of him. I finished by adding, “So I need to talk to Trent and then Selene will take his soul back to her garden. She will erase this life from his memory and prepare him for his new life with one of our pups. Once he is gone, Jax will be free and we can all take turns at making him pay.”

All five of them smiled at the thought.
