TAMING THE BEAST IN HIM ( His Red Phoenix )

Axion pushed Phoenix off and stormed out. He was fuming in rage and his was aching badly. He got to the garden and stopped, ruffling his hair in frustration.

” How could she give our child to that Devil just that easily? What the fuck was she thinking?! ” He yelled angrily. Crouching to the beach, he face-palmed himself and started crying.

While still crying, he felt a hand on his shoulder prompting him to look up only to see Corbin standing beside him. He looked away, sniffing back his tears. Corbin stretched out a handkerchief which he reluctantly accepted.

” Do you want to talk about it? ” Corbin spoke up after a moment of silence.

” Why did she strike such a deal with that monster? What is going to happen to my child now? ” Axion blurted out. Corbin sighed and settled beside him.

” Why don’t you try to put yourself in her shoes? What would you have done if you were her? ” He inquired.

” She should have just let me die! It would have been better than ruining our child’s life ”

” Would you have just let her die if you were in that situation? ” Corbin threw the jaw rubbing question and Axion’s face died down immediately. He glanced at Corbin who raised a brow at him.

Of course not! He wouldn’t just watch his Phoenix die.

” It’s obvious you would have done the same thing she did and I would have done the same too ” Axion looked down and bit his lips in regret.

” You know how much your Phoenix loves you and even though I’ve spent just a little time with you guys, I can see it clearly. Those couple of days you were chained and locked up, she wasn’t herself. Whenever I walk past your room, there she is on the bed crying. She was ready to give up her own life to turn back to normal and that is the exact thing she did here. I’m sure that Devil didn’t give her any option or else she wouldn’t have ”

Axion let out a deep sad sigh, burying his face in his palms.

” I know you have every right to be angry but it shouldn’t be at her. That Devil is who you should be angry with. Besides, come to think of it, this whole was our fault, to begin with. We should have listened to her when she warned us about Medusa. If we had, none of this would have happened in the first place ”

Axion clenched his fist to hold back his tears. Corbin placed his hand on his shoulder, squeezing reassuringly.

” Listen Axion, Phoenix needs you the most now. She is the one suffering the most here. She must be battling with intense guilt and hatred for herself. She must be thinking she failed as a mother and it’s up to you to show her that she didn’t. You need to be by her side ”

Corbin was right. Phoenix needed him the most now and instead of getting angry at her, he should protect her now that she’s vulnerable from that Devil lurking around. She and their baby need him the most now.

With that, Axion sprang up to his feet.

” You are right Corbin. My mate and baby need me. It is my responsibility to protect them ”

” That’s the spirit, little brother ” Corbin gingered and Axion turned to leave but then, he stopped and glanced back at him.

” Thanks… brother ” He mumbled and left. Corbin’s eyes widened at Axion’s last word. He was surprised… more like shocked.

” Did he just call… brother? ” He chuckled in disbelief. A broad smile can be seen drawing up his lips.

” He called me brother! ” He chuckled heartily.

MEANWHILE

Phoenix can be seen be squatted to the floor of the bathroom, crying with the cold shower pouring heavily on her and draining her. Her gown was already soaked and she was shivering uncontrollably due to the cold yet she didn’t want to turn off the shower.

She was punishing herself for being so stupid and for being the worst mother ever. Well… that’s what she thought.

” I’m sorry, Axion, I didn’t mean to ” She kept mumbling, her lips trembling as she hugged her legs tight.

She didn’t notice when the cold shower stopped running. She jerked when she felt someone hold her arms firmly. Turning, there was Axion knelt before her, his eyes watery. She immediately hugged him.

” Axion, I’m sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose. Please don’t hate me. I love you so much, Axion, I can’t leave without you, please forgive me ” She blubbered, her whole body trembling.

Axion gently helped her stand before hugging her back. The tears in his eyes dropped. His heart throbbed in pain and regret seeing his Phoenix in this condition. He shouldn’t have pushed her away angrily and left.

” I’m sorry ” He mumbled.

” Axion…” He shushed her immediately, stroking her back to calm her down.

” Stop crying love, I’m not angry with you, I’m sorry ” He kissed her wet hair, caressing her back. Seeing that she won’t stop whimpering and shaking, he broke the hug and cupped her face, shushing and stroking her cheeks with his thumb.

” Axion please don’t hate me…”

” Don’t say that love. You know that I can and will never hate you. I love you so much and nothing will ever change that ” He assured, staring intently into Phoenix’s teary eyes.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

” I will never hate you, ok? ” Phoenix nodded. He leaned close and kissed her tenderly so she would stop shaking and crying.

The kiss was all Phoenix needed to calm down. Closing her eyes, she reciprocated. Pulling out, Axion placed a deep kiss on her forehead before tugging her into a bone-crushing hug.

” I love you so much, Phoenix, so much ” He kissed her neck. But then, he noticed that her body was burning up and that she wasn’t moving.

” Phoenix ” He broke the hug only to see that Phoenix has already fainted in his arms…

Glinda strode quietly down the lonely aisle leading to a secretive layer with the book of the Dark Genie. Stepping in, she smiled on seeing who she came here for.

It was Narcissa, who was seated in the middle of the room, doing some silent enchanting and mixing some portion, her eyes closed. Glinda walked up to her and sat down too.

Sensing someone was before her, Narcissa smiled.

” What brings you to my clan, Glinda? ” She opened her eyes. Glinda placed the big book before her.

” I need your help, Narcissa. It’s very urgent ”

” What is the matter? ”

” It’s about the King of all Dark Genie. We want to bring an end to him once and for all. This book said the easiest way to kill him is to find his name but that is almost impossible ” Narcissa let out a wry laugh.

” Find his name? ” She scoffed.

” Why are you laughing, Narcissa? ” Glinda frowned in confusion.

” Every King of all Dark Genie does have a name but throughout history, none of their names have been discovered so you’re right, it is impossible to figure out his name ”

” But you’re also wrong in some way. Finding the name of the King of all Dark Genie isn’t the only easiest way to kill him. In fact, the fastest way to weaken him… is to find his heart ” Narcissa revealed and Glinda’s eyes widened in surprise.

” His heart?! ” She exclaimed.

” Yes. Somewhere in the Lone Forest, hidden inside an unknown rock, lies the heart of the King of all Dark Genie. Finding his Golden heart and destroying it with the Golden Dagger is the only and fastest way to kill that Devil…
